Ants are a fascinating species.” “Then you’ll be even happier to know it’s a two-and-a-half-hour documentary.” “Excuse me?” The words slipped out before I had the time to restrain myself, but seriously, it’s not possible. Nobody is crazy enough to watch such a long documentary at the cinema. At home, maybe—you can pause, get up every five minutes, drink a glass of wine, play with your phone—but at the cinema? No way! I’m on the brink of abandoning the fight, but seeing his self-satisfied grin, I pull myself together. “Even better! Unless you don’t like documentaries.
