WHEN ZOE DECIDES TO SETTLE ACCOUNTS WITH SOLANGE, HER HIGH SCHOOL NEMESIS, IAN ENJOYS CHALLENGING HER DECISION, AND SPARKS FLY. MY DAY is a series - However each book can be read as a standalone novel. Zoe is a lawyer, and she likes to project the image of a determined and confident woman. The only cloud on the horizon: she never confronted Solange, the classmate at the center of her break-up with her boyfriend at the time. It's decided; it's time to put things right! Except, on her way, she meets Ian, who not only doesn't understand her approach, but also enjoys challenging her reasoning. Even though Zoe despises his attitude, her heart has other designs. And when he makes an unexpected proposal, she has trouble knowing if she can trust him. Ian seems surrounded by secrets, and he doesn't hesitate to confuse her and complicate their relationship a little more every day. Can Zoe unravel the mystery around Ian while settling with her past? EXCERPT "Whatever you do, please don't mind me. Make yourself at home." I feel the red rising in my cheeks. I'm conscious that I've behaved in an improper manner. On the other hand, I was looking for him. "If you hadn't left me alone for almost two hours, I wouldn't be looking for you." "I see." He hardly hides his smile, and my stupid heart flutters. "You see what, exactly?" "You're one of those girls who never take responsibility for their actions and always have an excuse for everything." "Pardon me? No, I'm definitely not one of those girls. I'm a woman, and I always take responsibility." I'm about to add that this description fits Solange like a glove, but I manage to abstain. I don't want to get into a verbal conflict with a man I don't know. Besides, I realize it may not have been a very smart idea to enter the house of a stranger. "So, now it's the word 'girl' that is an issue for you? Can you explain to me?" His mocking tone makes me mad. I have the feeling he's having fun provoking me. I won't give him the satisfaction of responding to his provocations. "I just want to talk to Solange, and she's still not here. You know what time she will be back?" "Isn't that a question you should have asked when you rang at my door?" "I assumed she would be here any minute." "Then you assumed wrong." "Excuse me. Do you take a malicious delight in not giving me a direct answer?" "It seems to be the case, doesn't it?"

My Day: A chance to confront their past and change the rules of the game. MY DAY IS A SERIES - HOWEVER EACH BOOK CAN BE READ AS A STANDALONE NOVEL Arianna fell in love with Paul at first glance. But when she told him how she felt not only did he reject her, but he also accused her of being superficial and spoiled. No problem, she’ll prove to him that he’s ... right. Things are starting off well. Hired to run the last marketing campaign of his company, she has the opportunity to be around him every day and thus be able to implement her plan. Better still: no matter how much she may annoy him, he can’t fire her. Not only did she find an ally in the person of his brother, but he also needs her ideas. Except that determined to make him regret his words, she forgets one thing … he still has the power to break her heart. EXCERPT “Arianna, can I speak to you privately?” Ethan gives me a wink before moving away. “Of course. I never say no to a tête-à-tête and with a man moreover. Studies show it’s easier to obtain what you want during a tête-à-tête.” Well, I haven’t been transformed into a statue of ice so that’s a start. I continue to fill the silence with nonsense until we arrive at his office. He only speaks after closing the door behind us. “I think it’s essential to talk about what just happened.” “I’m sorry,” I say before he has time to incriminate me. “I realize answering the phone wasn’t professional on my part.” “That’s the only thing you don’t find professional?” I look at him, my eyes wide open. “Is there something else? If so, please don’t spare me. I need to hear the truth.” One might believe I’m trying to redeem myself with all my strength; let’s hope he believes it, too. “To be honest, I didn’t find it relevant to communicate the subject of your conversation to everyone. You don’t want to give the impression of someone ...” I know he wants to say superficial, but I think he remembers it was the word he used to reject me and he changes his mind. “... unprofessional.” “You’re absolutely right; I wouldn’t want to start off on the wrong foot. I promise to be careful. I realize, a little late unfortunately, that this conversation had no place in the meeting. Was it important? Yes, without a doubt. But I could have waited until the meeting was over to discuss it with Lexi. Thank you Paul, I appreciate you watching over me. I promise you, it won’t happen again.” I leave his office without giving him the opportunity to say anything else. I saw he was confused. I bet he was going to shout at me, and I clipped his wings. My smile doesn’t fade all day. Paul has to wait for the next surprise, but at least I won the first round.

NOT ONLY IS HER BEST FRIEND TO BLAME FOR HER FIRST BREAK-UP, BUT HE'S NOW DATING THE HIGH SCHOOL MEAN GIRL. GREAT! LEXI JUST FOUND A WAY TO GET BACK AT HIM. MY DAY is a series - However each book can be read as a standalone novel. Lexi has always been prone to give people the benefit of the doubt. But when she learns that Nick, her best friend, is responsible for her break-up with her first love, she decides to take revenge. And what better way to do that than to torpedo his relationship with his girlfriend? Except that Lexi has forgotten a tiny detail: she's hiding a secret, a secret Nick must never know. One that risks destroying their friendship forever. What started out as a fun game could cost Lexi her best friend ... and it may be too late to back out now. EXCERPT 1 "I hope you'll find someone who will make you happy," he says in a normal tone of voice. "Actually, I know one day you will find someone who will make you happy." As if it's not him who's partially responsible for what my love life is today. Who knows, maybe I would still have a fulfilling relationship with Anthony if he hadn't intervened. I breathe deeply to avoid making a remark that will give away my hand. "I hope so, too. But enough about me. Tell me what's going on between you and Vicky. I didn't know you were dating her." "I wanted to tell you about it, but you avoided all my attempts to see you. I didn't want to tell you by phone or text, so it became mission impossible. Especially since I was a little apprehensive of your reaction." "Sorry, I should have been more available. It's true Vicky isn't my favorite person in the world, but if she makes you happy ... well, that's all that matters to me." Nick looks at me dubiously. Was my tone too saccharine? "Even if, I have to admit, I would have preferred to see you with a different woman, someone who hadn't tried more than a few times to make my life difficult." "Vicky and I only go out for drinks every now and then--no need to prepare our wedding. I understand you're not fond of her, but I promise she's not the same person anymore." "With you I can believe it, but I doubt she has changed completely. However, I'm ready to make an effort. We should have dinner one of these days. It will be an opportunity to bury the hatchet." "Good idea. I'll talk to her about it and get back to you as soon as possible." "Perfect."

My Day: A chance to confront their past and change the rules of the game. MY DAY IS A SERIES - HOWEVER EACH BOOK CAN BE READ AS A STANDALONE NOVEL Christine met Logan years ago while he was staying at the hotel where she worked. After spending a few dream days together, he disappeared without giving the slightest sign of life. So when their paths cross again, she decides to take her revenge in a rather original way. In what way? Simply claiming she doesn’t remember meeting him. But Logan is determined to make her recover her memory, and his methods are rather irresistible. Well, that’s what Christine lets him think, because his charm doesn’t have any effect on her, does it? Except that the truth is perhaps quite different, and with her brother, Alex, ready to reveal her dupery, it’s in her interest to carry out her plan as soon as possible. EXCERPT When he arrives at my home around six o’clock, I’ve had time to regain my calm and mentally prepare myself for whatever happens next. At least that’s what I think, until he speaks and I have to blink to make sure I hear him correctly, that I’m not dreaming. Well, I hope I didn’t hear him correctly. “You told me how much you liked documentaries about insects. Well, guess what? I bought tickets for the eight-thirty showing of a fascinating documentary about ants,” he says, apparently proud of his idea. I wonder if my face expresses the extent of my dismay. Watching a documentary about insects is equivalent to an hour climbing up and down stairs, both at the bottom of my list of favorite activities. I distinctly remember mentioning how much they bore me when he told me about the documentary he had seen on opal extraction in Australia. So, unless he has a memory problem, I don’t see what he’s trying to accomplish. When I meet his gaze, I understand. He isn’t trying to seduce me; he wants to push me to confess I’m lying. Except it’s not going to happen, I can watch a one-hour documentary without flinching. We’ll see if he wears the same satisfied expression when his plan fails. “What a great idea,” I say with a smile. “An hour to learn something new is perfect. Ants are a fascinating species.” “Then you’ll be even happier to know it’s a two-and-a-half-hour documentary.” “Excuse me?” The words slipped out before I had the time to restrain myself, but seriously, it’s not possible. Nobody is crazy enough to watch such a long documentary at the cinema. At home, maybe—you can pause, get up every five minutes, drink a glass of wine, play with your phone—but at the cinema? No way! I’m on the brink of abandoning the fight, but seeing his self-satisfied grin, I pull myself together. “Even better! Unless you don’t like documentaries. If you’re only doing it for me, we can do something else together.” This time, I have no doubt about his intentions. His mischievous air tells me everything I need to know. “No, I love documentaries. Plus, what matters to me most is that you remember me as soon as possible, and I’m willing to do anything to make it happen.” The question is whether I am willing to do whatever it takes to exact my revenge. But it’s too early to give up, so, I don’t stomp my heel on his foot as I want to. Instead, I keep my cool and accept the hand he holds out. “Perfect. I’ll follow you.”

My Day: A chance to confront their past and change the rules of the game. MY DAY IS A SERIES - HOWEVER EACH BOOK CAN BE READ AS A STANDALONE NOVEL Amy is tired of sabotaging all of her relationships because of Ethan. He broke her heart years ago, and she let him get away unscathed. It’s time for her to confront him and rewrite the past. Determined to set things right, she flies away with her friends for the blue skies of Santorini to carry out her plan; a plan that begins to collapse as soon as she crosses Ethan’s gaze. Surprise guests and an idyllic romantic setting will further complicate her designs. Is she right to insist, or will stirring up the past prove to be a dangerous game? EXCERPT “Good morning, Zoe, Allison ... Amy.” Why does a shiver go through me when he utters my name? It’s like he … “You look like you didn’t sleep well. I hope it wasn’t because of me.” “I don’t see why it would be because of you. Your kiss didn’t perturb me to the point of staying awake all night.” “I just wanted to make sure our walk didn’t get you too worked up to sleep, but I see the answer is quite different.” I try to picture him as a Greek statue, made of stone and unable to speak, and in my distraction I miss something Zoe asks me. “Excuse me?” “Ethan just offered to show us around the island. He knows it better than we do, and I think it’s a good idea. What do you say?” “I don’t think so,” I reply dryly.

My Day: A chance to confront their past and change the rules of the game. MY DAY IS A SERIES - HOWEVER EACH BOOK CAN BE READ AS A STANDALONE NOVEL Allison has been mad at Jake Matthews for years. Despite him being a coveted bachelor and a respected culinary producer, to her, he remains the one who nearly shattered her dream of becoming a pastry chef. Even though she has since overcome her doubts, she cannot forget this incident. She decides to confront him and tell him some home truths. However, when she ends up working for him, she suddenly finds it hard to stick to her resolutions. As time passes, the more difficult it becomes to carry out her plan. Does Jake still have the power to destroy her dreams? EXCERPT We are already half way through the filming, and as it is past noon, I decide to go back to my office and have a sandwich for lunch. I come across Jake, who’s in all likelihood leaving to see Tereza. “How’s it going?” he asks. “Good. She’s professional, as I expected. I don’t think you can blame me anymore. Apparently, she managed to charm you as much as the others.” What am I saying? Why don’t I shut up? “How about telling me how you really feel?” he provokes me with a piercing gaze that makes me move uncomfortably. Heck, after all, I don’t need to be in his good graces. “I was just saying you always seem to behave the same way with women. You complained I’d arranged a lunch with your ex, but you came back from the meeting with a smile. You also complained this morning about Tereza, and yet you are about to have lunch with her. And I don’t even talk about this completely inappropriate kiss.” “Jealous?” he says, taking a step toward me, which makes me recoil. “Absolutely not. I’ve no reason to be jealous. What an absurd idea. I’m just saying things like I see ...” “Because I’m also against relationships in the office,” he interrupts me and his breath caresses my neck. “That doesn’t stop me from doing this.” He touches my lips, and his touch is so different from what I’ve imagined, so tender, that for a moment, I surrender. Fortunately, good sense prevails, and I push him away, furious. “What was that?” “In my opinion, a good start to what I plan to be a unique adventure. Note, I probably should fire you, this way I wouldn’t have to break my rules.” He gently strokes my face with his thumb and disappears before I actually have time to replicate.
