In highschool, there are always cliques. Like people hang out with like people. Jocks hang out with jocks, nerds hang out with nerds, right? You won't necessarily see nerds with the prima donnas of the school or jocks with that weird science boy who sits in the back of the class. It's just too unusual for the status quo of highschool. It's a stupid concept, but people still uphold it like it's God above all. Me personally, I believe in being yourself no matter what. But that belief doesn't fly here. You're either someone or no one here. Being no one gets you under looked and bullied. Being someone gets you EVERYTHING. Even an A+ on a test you know you failed for sure.
"Kacy.....you're mumbling. Again." Quinton teased. "I'm really starting to think you're the psycho in this group."
I rolled my eyes, shutting the journal I wrote in daily. Today's topic was about our shitty highschool system.
"Quin-you are definitely the damn psycho."
I turned away from my wooden desk to look at Quin strewn about on the hammock that was tied between a branch from the neighboring tree and another neighboring tree. Nani had his earbuds in, Garrett was reading silently to himself, and Derick was working on his science project.
"You're correct. But even a psycho has a limit."
He raised his eyebrows and lazily smirked towards my journal.
"It's not about Reese this time. I'm just venting." I said.
"Mmhm. Well of it's not-"
"What the fuck?" Nani gasped.
I frowned and looked towards Nani. His face had deepened to a shade of angry red.
"Nani?"
He stood up yanking his earbuds out of his ear, "How did this get out?!"
His screen shocked me with the information on it. Oh, fuck.
