Marked by My Brother’s Best FriendUpdated at Jan 31, 2026, 00:54
Amber’s life had never been easy. After her parents died at a very young age, she was pushed into a house where she was treated like she didn’t exist. Her uncle and aunt never knew who she really was. They didn’t know she was the granddaughter of the most powerful man in the country, or that Daniel… their heir was her real brother, who had enemies all over the world.
Amber grew up hiding, while Daniel grew up carrying responsibilities on his shoulders. Two siblings living completely different lives, but both of them were hurting in their own ways.
When Amber turned eighteen, she was finally brought back. She worked hard just to get into Daniel’s college because he was the only person who loved and cared for her. She thought things would get easier now.
But then she met Ryder.
Ryder, Daniel’s best friend. He was the campus king. Rich, untouchable, good-looking enough to make people stare. A trained heir from a mafia family with no feelings, and power always came first. He had a reputation as a playboy, heartbreaker, someone who never cared about anyone. He only had one that was genuine in his life, and that was his friendship with Daniel. He really admired him, the person who always stood by him in the darkest phase of his life.
From the very first day, Ryder marked her as his prey, not knowing she was the person he was supposed to protect, his best friend’s sister. He played little games that no one dared question. He teased her, cornered her, pushed her until she didn’t know whether she hated him or feared him more.
But the problem was… Amber couldn’t hate him the way she should have. Something about him pulled her in, and she hated herself for it. And Ryder, who always kept people at a distance, couldn’t stay away from her either. He’d provoke her, then watch her reactions for his amusement. He’d say something cruel, then show up again as if he couldn’t stand being apart.
Their connection was messy and too dangerous. They hurt each other without meaning to.
