Betrayed and Banished
Felicia's POV
Today marked my 21st birthday, a day I had hoped to celebrate with my boyfriend, Alpha Kaden. However, my world crumbled when I received a photo revealing Kaden-intimately engaged with my long-time best friend, Niana.
At first, I couldn’t believe the picture. It was easy to Photoshop and paste anyone's face. Still, a part of me wanted to verify it, so I reached the famous hotel in the city, where both Kaden and Niana were present.
My eyes widened in disbelief as I witnessed a scene beyond my worst nightmares. Kaden officially declared Niana as his fiancée and mate, crushing my heart into countless shards.
The sight of their embrace, sealed with a kiss as the crowd cheered them on, ignited a storm of tears in my eyes, engulfing me in profound agony and anguish. Without stopping for another second, I walked toward them and threw the large cake placed in front of them, thus bringing chaos to the hall.
"Since when did you two start cheating on me?" I screamed at the top of my lungs. "How dare you, Kaden, take her as your mate when you were dating me?"
I then picked up the champagne bottle placed next to me. I threw my hand in the air in Kaden's direction to smash it on his head. However, he caught my hand midway.
The next second, Kaden pushed me away and I fell to the floor. "We never dated. Ask anyone here if they ever saw us together. Also, stop accusing me. I've seen women like you, coming at me and claiming me as theirs," Kaden stated.
He was right. I and Kaden were never seen together by anyone. He never let me reveal our relationship. I always trusted him and more than that, I trusted my best friend, Niana, who was one year senior to me.
"Kaden, just throw this b***h out of here. Why did the security even let her inside?" Niana annoyingly said while acting sweetly to him. "You didn't get hurt, right, Kaden?" she asked.
"You were my friend," I said, "best friend." And I glared at Niana, who acted as if she didn't know me.
"Security! Security!" Kaden shouted when two strong men rushed into that crowd. "Take this trash away and throw her out of our sight," Kaden ordered them.
I tried to resist the bodyguards, but they had held me strongly. "Leave me. I'm going to kill him. He used me for three years and in the end cheated with my so-called best friend," I shouted at the top of my lungs. My voice echoed in the party hall.
"How could you say this to our Alpha? You wench! Also, the accusations you are putting on me are baseless. I'm from a family of alphas. While you are an omega. How dare you even talk about killing an Alpha?" Niana questioned me, making me lose my mind even more.
"Throw her out of my sight," Kaden gave out the order.
The bodyguards dragged me out of the hotel while many people watched me. They gossiped about how characterless I was. As soon as the glass doors opened, they pushed me away and I fell to the floor with a loud thud.
"Get away from her and if you dare enter here again, we will make sure to hand you over to the police," said one of the bodyguards.
At that moment, a sleek black car stopped at the front of the seven-star hotel. The chauffeur quickly opened the door for the man in the backseat, who was none other than the Alpha King, Lorenzo Alvarez.
I, who was still on the floor, brimmed with tears. Because I had nowhere to go, had no parents, and was treated like trash by everyone there.
"Get away from here," the bodyguard told me with a disgusted look on his face as he was going to pull me up and throw me out of the hotel's front gate. He apologized to the Alpha King when he glared at the bodyguard and came to me.
He extended his hand toward me, and I gazed at him in bewilderment. When I didn't hold his hand, the Alpha King pulled me up. "Are you alright, Miss?" he asked.
Tears emerged from my eyes as I yanked away his hands from my arms, trying to hide my pitiful condition.
"Sir, she is a nobody, just creating a nuisance inside. Please ignore her," the same bodyguard said.
I clenched my fists and walked away from there. I was devastated by the betrayal of Kaden. It felt to me like someone was stabbing my heart repeatedly.
Wiping my tears off, I stopped by a bar and decided to end my sorrows there. Upon entering, I sat on the counter chair of the bar and ordered a few drinks for myself.
I wondered what I did wrong when Kaden decided to play with my heart in such a way. I was always loyal in this relationship. It was Kaden, who approached me first, then why he was the one who cheated on me, that too, with my once best friend.
As the multiple thoughts ran through my mind, I brought the glass close to my mouth and gulped it in a shot. I laughed at myself for getting fooled by my pack alpha. Kaden never wanted me.
Actually, no one ever wanted me. After being abused for all the years by my uncle and aunt, I found a new hope in this relationship and thought that I finally would be happy.
"How could I be this foolish?" I mumbled, turning myself on the chair and looking at the men there. "Whom should I ask to sleep with me? I don't want to stay as a good girl anymore," I decided and was determined to let go of myself of just one night.
I was sure that someone would be here who would help me let go of myself for a while and forget the pain I felt in my heart.
Standing up, I made my way to the lounge area and approached the first man I laid my eyes on. "Hey, will you sleep with me?" I asked boldly with no reservation.
The other patrons in the lounge began to murmur, their attention drawn to the exchange unfolding before them.
"Are you serious? How dare you ask my boyfriend to sleep with you?" a woman's voice rang out, her anger palpable as she confronted me. She moved to strike me, but her boyfriend intervened.
"Let it go. She's just a random drunkard," he reasoned, calming the situation before it escalated further.
"Why? Isn't cheating common these days?" I said while laughing. "My ex too cheated on me with my best friend. Why did he do that?" I held my head as I continued to laugh.
No matter how much I laughed the pain would never leave me. It had left a big scar on my whole life and I would never be able to trust anyone.
The woman pushed me away. "You, b*tch!" She cursed at her.
Before I could fall, a pair of strong arms caught me. The bar lights turned off as the loud music had started by the DJ downstairs. So, I couldn't look at the man's face.
"Will you sleep with me?" The words slipped out of my mouth as I anticipated his response. I could sense his sharp bluish eyes, staring at me deeply. "I want to forget everything," I murmured in desperation as tears poured down her cheeks.
