Throughout life she has gone by many names to keep herself alive. Many of the names she has picked have been male to help her get better jobs. The series of name changes started after her father was lost at sea and her mother died in childbirth.

Adelaide never knew her father. Her life came to a halt when her mother died in a car accident. With both parents gone, Adelaide was left as a orphan. Her Aunt Stella stepped in and agreed to take her in. Adelaide was forced to discover a new town and make new friends. At least she has her cousin Kat to help her navigate this new life.

Harper, Nora and Reagan have been friends their entire lives. Summer in Maine is when locals work hard so they can survive the rest of the year. Being in Maine isn't all work.
