No matter what life throws at you, you can always make the best out of it. Claire in her early days, lived in Milan with her mother and had wanted to be a model and had started off as one, until her mother took ill in the early days of her modelling career, so she quickly diverted into nursing so she could give her mum the best possible assistance while saving herself the extra cost of hiring a nursing assistant for her mum since she was an only child. Her efforts paid off as her mum recovered after two years but died 3 years later in a car crash. The next year after her mum's death, she met and fell in love with Mike who got her pregnant a few months later, but he eloped without giving her reasons. This broke Claire the most and she decided she will raise her baby Sylvia alone and never remarry. These decisions made her move to Sicily so she could heal from the pains of the past losses she experienced in Milan over the years. Life challenges made Don Pedro to abduct her to work for him, anyone working for him must live within the Don’s villa. Denying her freedom was enough to make Claire angry as she looked for an opportunity to bring him down. Claire was eventually hired by the CIA as a secret undercover as her reward for her level of cooperation in nailing Down Don Pedro. Harry and Claire from being Friends became lovers.
