The larger Jack made his empire, the more alone he became. It was his thirst for power that forced him to lose everything he had ever loved and forsake, even the little humanity left in him. That world—the one he ruled with a web that crossed industry, nation and individual—was just the empty vessel of his own acrid heart. But one could see in the peaceful times of reflection, that Jack found no reprieve from the hollowness which had plagued him since losing his family. She pushes him away, haunted by the memory of what their love was; deep down inside he is starting to realize that maybe redemption could be in store for her as well.
