Loving Alpha Brandon

“Seraphina, tell me what happened. Ever since you came back from Lucius's place, you’ve been like this.” I sighed and turned away from her, staring out the window. “Nothing happened, Shera. Just leave me alone.” Shera did not give up. “Nothing happened? You’ve been crying every night, and you hardly eat. I am your sister, Seraphina. I know when something is wrong.” I felt the tears welling up again, but I blinked them back. “I do not want to talk about it.” She sat down on the bed beside me, her voice softening. “Did he hurt you?” I shook my head. “No, it’s not that. It’s… complicated.” “Complicated how?” I struggled to find the words. “He… I… we…” I took a deep breath. “I thought I could handle it. Being around him again, pretending like everything was okay. But it’s not. I still have feelings for him, Shera. And it hurts. It hurts so much.” Shera wrapped her arms around me, pulling me into a tight hug. “Oh, Seraphina. Why did not you tell me?” “I did not want to burden you,” I whispered. “And I thought I could get over it. But seeing him, being near him… it brought everything back.” She stroked my hair, her voice soothing. “You are not a burden, Seraphina. You never were. And you do not have to go through this alone.” I buried my face in her shoulder, finally letting the tears flow. “I do not know what to do. I love him, but I can’t go back. I can’t keep hurting like this.” Shera held me tighter. “You need time, Seraphina. Time to heal, to figure out what you really want. And we’ll be here for you, every step of the way.” I nodded, feeling a small sense of relief. Maybe she was right. Maybe with time, I could heal. But for now, I just needed to grieve the love I had lost.
