For fans of Dungeons and Dragons, this story was partially inspired and influenced by D&D. Born into a life of luxury, Nydia is the princess and heir to her kingdom. The Dan'enda people coexist with dragons and are linked to them as a result of an ancient war. Many generations later, they war with other races of the continent: Humans, Elves, Dwarves, Nymphs, and Fairies. The treaty results in a multiracial school where Nydia eventually goes with her dragon companion, Ivy, to try to understand more of her powers and magic, and why her family is being targeted.

A tragedy made her abilities awaken, she's a shifter. She thought she was all alone, but when she's discovered by a leader of a pack, they help her discover who she is. Before she can learn more about herself and why she has these powers, she needs to make sure her little brother will always be safe.

The first female knight in a kingdom, she is sought after by many. Alyssa Anessen is not just a knight, but a woman born of two magic users, though her mother has renounced magic. Before long she finds herself being hunted by a man she knows nothing about, intercepting a man that accepted the bounty, and reconnecting with her long lost father.
