I grew up in the United States, the only child of an Iranian immigrant and second to a Louisiana woman. My parents divorced when I was still an infant, and I spent the first four years of my life with my father. Eventually, I began travelling between my mother's and father's homes for school and summer break, taking long road trips between the states of Arkansas and Florida. It was during these trips that my imagination truly flourished. I began experimenting with writing stories in 1998 in the 8th grade, a school year which I spent for the first time completely with my dad, and found I had quite the knack for it. I was heavily encouraged by the teachers in Florida to continue to work on that. I took that to heart and began "investing" (I was 13, what did I know about investing, right?) in stacks of notebooks and more pencils than I could count. I set to work, writing, rewriting, abandoning, and revisiting so many stories as they popped into my head. It was overwhelming to have so many ideas yet nothing completed. I decided to stop working on my "original" stories for a while and write fan-fiction, create stories for established worlds and not have to work so hard to come up with scenarios. This helped a lot, and eventually I began drawing pictures of my characters. Doing both of these helped me focus on one thing at a time in my writing until I was confident enough to adequately work multiple projects without hindrance. I attended Full Sail University in 2012 and graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in Creative Writing for Entertainment. With new skills and encouragement, I continue to write my own stories while raising three kids and working.

Humans, Mutants, Aliens, and Artificial Intelligence have been living together in strained peace for about twenty years. Even so, as such events have piggybacked off of centuries of human prejudice, the stigma of being anything but pure human can be problematic. Eddie Stanley is a young metahuman with rapid regeneration. Not particularly threatening, but after choosing to add her name to the meta registry, she learns that what was designed to keep her safe can easily be used to cause her harm.
