Chapter 1 °o°
I groan out loud whilst wiping my forehead with the back of my hand, making my boyfriend laugh.   “Come on Lauren, Tara’s family invited you to go to Disney World with them for a whole ass week.” He tells me while putting my suitcase into the trunk of my light grey 2015 Ford Fusion. “Correction, her father did. But he’s going to be in a whole different park! With some w***e!” I say annoyed loading my last suitcase into my trunk. It was smaller than what my boyfriend had to put in, but still, I’m a pretty weak person. This made my boyfriend look at me with a frown and close the trunk. “Lauren, that isn’t a nice thing to call her.” He tells me adjusting his black hipster looking glasses. He just loves how big they are, he still looks hot as hell so I’m not complaining. “Well Brandon, for your information, that woman is the reason why Tara’s parents divorced in the first place.” I explain as a matter of fact. He chuckles and closes my trunk then comes up to me, making me look up at him and he wrap his arms around my waist. “Well, since you leave for Tara’s house in the morning, why don’t we have a little bit of fun hmm?” Brandon asks me with amusement in his tone. “Oh, my Brandon, now this is something I won’t miss.” I laugh.   **…** The next day, I put my hair in a side braid, and then a light pink tank top and some dark Hollister jeans and some flip flops. I packed a whole bunch, since you know, this is Florida. Especially south Florida which I currently am in. “Alright, have fun sweetie.” My mom says giving me a quick side hug. “I will, bye mom.” I tell her whilst getting into my car. Brandon left an hour ago for work, but not without giving me a goodbye kiss of course, that’s our thing. I start my engine and pull out of my driveway waving by to my mom who just awkwardly waves at me, then starts walking back into our home. She’s always been a little anti-social, ever since my dad died. I wouldn’t blame her, because he was her best friend. Of course, Tara’s mom is now her best friend. Which I am very thankful for.   ***…..*** I pull into Tara’s driveway, and park next to her black 2016 Chrysler 200. We agreed to take my car to Disney with us, because she just got her car about a month ago, I mean I got mine brand-new back in 2015.  I then turn my car off, and once I got out, I hear Tara squealing making me roll my eyes. Does she have to be so damn loud? “AHH! We’re going to Disney World b***h!!” She yells from the top of her lungs while giving me a hug. “That we are my dear friend.” I say trying to impersonate Sherlock Holmes. Which she catches and just laughs. She, like my boyfriend is a literature junkie. “Well I got some luggage, so open that trunk.” She giggles pulling away from me and walking up to her front steps. Where her dark purple suitcase lies. I chuckle and unlock my trunk, then start making room for her suitcase. “Okay, once we get to the hotel, I want you to help me pick out my two outfits for the two parks that we are going to go to.” Tara explains whilst walking up to me, rolling her suitcase. “Really? Aren’t you the fashionista out of the two of us?” I ask her in bewilderment. I mean, I have a point after all, that girl does love clothing. But me on the other hand, I frankly don’t give a damn about my attire. “Well yeah, but I always welcome opinions too.” She says while putting her suitcase inside my trunk, and then closing it. “Okay, so we need to be at the hotel at least by the morning. My dad and Victoria are already there, but I want to leave tonight.” Tara says while linking arms with me and us walking to her two-story house. “Oh alright, but your dad lives there already, I’m not sure why he needs to spend money for two hotel rooms.” I explained whilst we helped ourselves inside. “Because that’s what she wants.” Tara says with disgust laced in her tone. Especially making a sour look once Tara said the word, she. “Well I see, they have been dating for a year now Tara, don’t you think you should be kinder to Victoria?” I ask her while we sat down in her living room. This makes Tara snort. “Unless she apologizes to me and admits that she is a gold-digging bitch.” Tara explains whilst taking her iPhone out. We both sit down in Tara’s living room and I instantly turn on her television. “Maybe she came from a broken home? While she was growing up, plus it’s not her fault your dad is a successful real estate broker.” I say while channel surfing and giving Tara a pointed look. “Ah my sweet innocent Lauren, you just want to see the good in all people, but the last few times I actually met the woman, she does not even tolerate me, like at all.” Tara explained while going through her phone. I then clicked on Keeping up with the Kardashians. Then after putting the remote back down on the ottoman, I look around for Tara’s mother, Paulina. “Where is your mom?” I ask Tara. Her mom is a sous chef with a restaurant here, and damn that woman can freaking cook. “Um, she won’t be home till late tonight, she picked up a double today.” Tara explains not taking her eyes from her phone. “Oh.” Was all I said. Then I continued watching the show. “Okay so want Chick Fila, Chipotle, or what? Oh, we got to get something for my mother too.” She says finally looking at me. I think for a moment. “Panda Express sounds good to me.” I tell her. She nods and then stands up, then walks up to grab her wallet and her Miami Hurricanes lanyard. “Okay, it’s only a 7 min drive from me, so I’ll drive because we need to save your gas as much as possible.” She tells me.   “Sounds good to me.” I say whilst getting up. And start to make our way outside, to her car. Good gosh I am so damn hungry.
