I am now here at the underground headquarters where an important meeting will be held. We are gathered here to talk about an upcoming shipments of several cargo from a certain drug cartel in Mexico. I sat at the far end corner of the table and pour myself a drink. Sitting beside me is an old member of the syndicate, he is the current General of the Philippine National Police. I lit my cigar and waited for the meeting to start. 'I thought you wouldn't be here now, Luke.' 'I don't have any choice, Stan. We have to be here as part of this f*****g shit.' 'How are you nowadays? You seems troubled, my friend.' he pat my back. 'I'm having further thoughts about what I've told you, Stan.' Think about it first. Hindi sa ayokong mawala ka dito but I am more concern on your life and the lives of your loveones.' 'I will find a way. I have to find a way. I want out, I shouldn't be here in the first place. Mali na masali ako dito.' 'Kung talagang gusto mong umalis, bakit hindi pa noon? Bakit pinaabot mo pa ng years if you really want to leave here?' I shake my head and lit a stick of cigar. 'You knew so well why I've preferred to stay here, Stan.' I downed the liquor and emptied my glass again. 'I still love her. I want to be with her again. 'Hello there. Did we met somewhere?' 'This is the first time we met, Luke. We knew your name at the log book of the gym. We are also regulars there.' said the shorter one. 'Oh! What floor are you both staying here?' '23rd. You're staying at the penthouse, right?' sagot ulit sa'kin ng mas matangkad than the other one. 'Yeah. What's your name?' 'I'm Stephanie and this is my girl friend Pam.' the taller one answered again, both of them extend their hands at me which I accepted swiftly. Tumunog ang elevator and stop at 23rd floor but before they get out of the lift, Stephanie gave me a kiss on my both cheeks. 'Goodbye ladies. Nice meeting you both.' I flash a boyish smile at them and they acknowledge it with giggles. Napailing na lang ako as the elevator close and wait for my floor. Let me introduce myself. I am Hades Luke O'Connor Martin, born and raised in the commercial center of Southern California at Santa Monica, Los Angeles USA. I am the second child of the famous Cardiologist in Santa Monica, Doctor Lucas Eros Martin and the Pharmaceutical Physician in Dublin Ireland named Isabelle Antoinette O'Connor Martin. I have two siblings. The eldest is Isabelle Psyche Martin Strider who happened to be married to a business tycoon in Las Vegas Nevada with 2 handsome children. Our youngest is Isabelle Artemis Martin who is also a Cardiologist by profession. I am in my 32nd years of existence and have created my own name in the business world. I've studied at the University of Santa Monica, a graduate of Business Administration with a major degree in Marketing. When I finished my studies, I lend money to my parents to establish my very own business. I became fond and interested with hotels so I've put up my business in the heart of Santa Monica, Los Angeles. At the age of 18, I had my very first hotel, CITY OF ANGELS HOTEL. It became a hit because people were intrigued that the hotelier of City Of Angels Hotel is a 18 years old teenager. News spread like wild fire about my first hotel and offers from different countries flooded me afterwards. After 2 years, City Of Angels Hotel was given a 5 star award and it became famous world-wide. That same year, I left Los Angeles and went to Makati City which is a city in the Philippines. I established a hotel here, MIRAGE HOTEL. Just like in Santa Monica, the Filipino people were intrigued that a young hotelier was able to established a 5 star hotel at a very young age. That is why Mirage Hotel became popular like City Of Angels Hotel. After 3 years of staying in the Philippines and I was 23 that time, Mirage Hotel got its 5 star rank and was categorized as a world-class hotel as well. After making a name in the Philippines, I went to Greece. I built a hotel in one of the islands of Aegean Sea, in Santorini. And SANTORINI PALACE was born when I was at the age of 24. After a year of operating, I headed to Paris which is a city in France. I put up another hotel there and named it LE LOUVRE HOTEL. Since I became a famous hotelier at a very young age, I was labelled and was included in the Guiness Book of Records as the Youngest Hotelier in the World, Le Louvre Hotel became a smash hit and was lined up with all the 5 star hotels in France. Next after putting Le Louvre Hotel in the map, I went back at Asia. There in Beijing which is the capital of China, I have established RED DRAGON HOTEL. Just like all my hotels, the Chinese community patronizes it because of my title in the Guiness Book of Records. Then at the age of 30 ay tinayo ko ang pangalawang hotel ko in the Philippines, GOLDSTRUCK HOTEL in the heart of Quezon City. I established an 18th floor building here in Makati City that became the office of HLM Group of International Hotels. By next year I am planning to put up another hotel, I am still thinking kung sa Las Vegas ba or bandang Russia ako magtatayo. I am still studying the place at the moment. Because I've became famous in the business world, marami akong nakilalang mga matataas na tao sa buong mundo. In one of the social gatherings na dinaluhan ko, I've met a young businessman in the field of Seafaring and Resorts business with his friend that was also into business of Stock Markets and trading. While we talked, Poseidon Israel Smith told me his plans on putting up a group that will consists of young businessmen around the world. His friend, Hermes John Klein will also be part of the group and also I if ever I agreed to join them. Maganda ang mission and vision na sinabi sa akin ni Smith, he also laid to me all their plans to the group. The offer was enticing, also Smith said that he only offered it to me because I have a name of a Greek Mythology God just like them plus I am also successful in my own field also like them at a very young age. I know that being one with them in that group will be an advantage on my part as well as with my businesses kaya after a month ay binuo namin tatlo ang HIGH and UNTOUCHABLE GODS SOCIETY, being the 3 founding members of our group. We've spent our meetings here at the beautiful soil of the Philippines dahil narin sa lahat kami sa may businesses dito. If ever we have stuffs outside the country ay saka lang kami lumalabas ng bansa. The Philippines had been our permanent haven here in the Pacific, lahat kami ay nakatira sa Business Capital of the country. Aside sa hotels, nagtayo rin ako ng Exclusive Club in Parañaque City na business partners ko sila Smith and Klein, ang HLM GAMING CLUB which a version of Casino in Las Vegas. My most recent and ongoing project is a condotel in Quezon City which is the HLM HIGH RISE. Pagdating naman sa social life, I am just as normal as any other man. At the age of 13, I have lost my virginity to my girlfriend who happened to be a year older than me in Los Angeles. We were on the last quarter of our 4th year ni Cher when I've met a businessman by the name Gilbert Suarez in my RED DRAGON HOTEL. He became interested with my hotels in the Philippines and wants to invest with it. He personally meet me in Beijing para makausap niya ako regarding his interest in investing at MIRAGE and GOLDSTRUCK HOTEL. Just like other businessmen who have invested at my hotels, I did a background check on Gilbert Suarez para malaman ko kung ano ang nature ng business niya, his personal life and even his financial bank status. When I was satisfied that he wasn't into something illegal, we signed a contract stating that he will be an investor of my two hotels here in the Philippines. As a sign of my respect and gratitude to him, I've also invested into his business. He is into Freight and Cargo Shipment business. Kaya sa tuwing may kailangan akong ipadalang ano man sa ibang bansa ay company na niya ang kinukuha kong service. After year of being an investor to his company, saka ko lang nalaman na part pala siya at ang iba pang investors sa isang malaking drug syndicate. Na ang contract na pinirmahan namin was also connected to his cartel kaya pala may "others" sa documents. That Gilbert Suarez's Freight and Cargo Shipment business ay sanga lang ng kanyang pinaka-business which is drugs. Doon na nagsimulang magulo ang tahimik kong buhay and that was the start na unti-unti ng mabawasan ang time ko for Cher. Not because nabawasan ang pagmamahal ko sa kanya but because I don't want the syndicate to know any details about her. Hindi basta-bastang druglord si Gilbert Suarez, he is also a member of Mexico's number one drug cartel kaya mapanganib siyang tao at maraming siyang galamay. Sa syndicate ko rin nakilala si General Estanislao Belarmino who became a friend of mine. Mula noon, I started to lie to Cher even if my conscience bothers me ay wala narin akong nagawa. The night after our 5th year Anniversary ni Cher, I did a decision that until now still hurts me like hell and haunts me even in my sleep. Inaway ko siya at pinagbintangan na may affair siya sa kasamahan niya sa Demir-Chua Enterprise. I have to pretend that I hate her and that I loath her para layuan niya ako na tanging paraan lang para mailigtas ko siya sa banta ng syndicate. Kaya habang hindi pa ako nakakaisip ng paraan kung paano ako makakaalis sa syndicate ay mas minabuti kong pakawalan si Cher for her safety at para narin hindi malaman ni Gilbert na may connection si Cher sa akin. It hurted me more when I've pushed her away from me, it pained me more when I've accused her of something na alam kong hinding-hindi niya magagawa sa akin. Kahit alam kong masasaktan ako at pwedeng niya akong kamuhian, ginawa ko parin na itaboy si Cher palayo sa akin para lang mailigtas ko siya because I love her so much. My reminising of what happened to me in the past was cut off nang tumunog ang doorbell sa pad ko. May tao sa labas pero bago ko pa buksan ang door ay tumingin muna ako sa peephole para malaman kung sino ang unexpected visitor ko. I saw one of the ladies I met at the elevator awhile ago.
