Mr. Wrong

Kayla and Lucas got engaged few months ago, and they were now planning their wedding. They lived in different cities, only an hour drive away. Kayla was supposed to move to Lucas after the wedding, and the wedding was supposed to take place in her hometown. They agreed to take over the wedding planning while he took over the construction of their future apartment. One weekend, while spending time at his parents' house, she cooked dinner and talked to her future mother-in-law, and Lucas supervised the construction workers with his dad. They all sat down together for dinner and that's when everything fell apart. At one point she was having a discusion about children with his father, who kept telling her that Lucas is still immature and not ready for kids just yet. Isn't that supposed to be conversation between Lucas and Kayla, not Kayla and his father?! She was caught up in the conversation she had just had while her fiance was just sitting there, keeping his head down. At one point, she began to cry when she realized that his father would always control their marriage. When his parents retreated to their room, she begged  Lucas to move to her city where they could live in peace without being controlled by anyone. He got really angry and told her to leave his house. She realized she has already lost this battle, packed her things and left in the middle of the night. She cried the whole ride home, but she didn't know if she was sad or relieved... The next day he called her to cancel their wedding and cut off all ties with her. She didn't ask him to think about everything again, she just wished him a happy life. She cried that day and moved on.
