Terry, Larissa, and Olaf are ordinary people with extraordinary potential. Handpicked by the enigmatic figure known only as P, they are brought to Cobra Labs, a secretive facility dedicated to advanced technology and military development. But Cobra Labs holds deeper, more dangerous secrets than anyone could imagine.

As they undergo a series of intense experiments, the trio begins to suspect that they are part of a far larger and more sinister plan—one that will push them beyond the limits of their abilities and force them to question who they really are. With their loved ones in peril, Terry, Larissa, and Olaf must decide whether to follow P’s mysterious agenda or fight back before it’s too late.

In this thrilling origin story, the line between science and fiction blurs, and heroes are born from the unlikeliest of places.

Chapter 1
11:11 East Express Train The train rattled along the tracks, its rhythmic clatter blending with the faint hum of conversation. Sunlight streamed through the windows, casting soft light over the worn leather seats. Inside the cramped compartment, the air was thick with the scent of metal and the murmur of passengers. A man in a business suit sat opposite a younger man in a faded jacket. For the last fifteen minutes, they had been stealing glances at each other. Finally, the younger man leaned forward and asked, “Are you P?” He pulled a small card from his jacket, his eyes gleaming with curiosity. The train swayed gently, the motion turning the outside world into a blur. The businessman shook his head, closing his eyes for a moment before reaching into his chest pocket to retrieve a similar golden card. “I think we were both invited to the same train and wagon,” he said, his voice carrying a hint of intrigue. The younger man chuckled softly, casting a glance at the passing scenery. “Will there be others?” He murmured, slightly annoyed, to himself. As two stations passed, the compartment began to empty, the crowd thinning — The two men had exchanged a few brief, trivial remarks about the weather and the soccer game the day before, but their conversations were sparse and unremarkable, bound only by the golden cards they both held. The cards were nearly identical, with minimal writing: Board the train at Lever St. at 10:52. Wait until 12 o’clock. — We will meet soon, P. The businessman’s card bore a slight difference, instructing him to board at Rose Hill Plaza at 10:46. In the course of their small talk, they learned each other’s names: Terry, the younger man, and Olaf, the businessman. Both had received the same invitation from an online friend, known only as P, who had promised a fun and thrilling experience. “So, you met P through a game?” Terry asked, fidgeting with his phone. “I don’t play games,” Olaf replied, avoiding eye contact. “We met on a Discord server — we both like discussing books.” Olaf’s voice wavered slightly; Terry’s intense gaze made him uncomfortable. The train’s bell rang, signaling that they were minutes away from the next station. Outside the window, the scenery blurred by; fields of tall grass swaying in the wind, dotted with the occasional farmhouse or distant grove of trees. A faint blue haze clung to the horizon, softening the edges of the mountains in the distance. The sky, painted in a pale afternoon light, hinted at the coming dusk. Inside the compartment, the atmosphere had quieted as more passengers disembarked. An old man in the corner adjusted his fraying hat, his fingers moving with deliberate care as though the act held great importance. Beside him, a housewife hunched over a notebook, lips moving silently as she reviewed her grocery list. Her pen tapped nervously against the paper; her brow furrowed in concentration. A few seats down, a young teenager with oversized headphones bobbed his head, eyes closed, pretending to play the drums on his lap. His fingers danced in the air, out of sync with the rhythm of the train, as if he were lost in his own concert. Across from Terry and Olaf, a woman, who had been sitting quietly, stood up with graceful ease. Her movements were fluid, exuding a quiet confidence. She walked towards them, the hem of her sleek, fitted dress swaying slightly with each step. With a soft, almost imperceptible smile, she sat down beside Terry, crossing her legs in a slow, deliberate motion. Her elegance was undeniable, and there was something magnetic about her presence. “I couldn’t help but overhear your conversation,” she said, her voice smooth and rich. “And I think we have something in common, gentlemen.” Her smirk deepened as she twirled a golden card between her fingers — the same card Terry and Olaf held. The light caught on its metallic surface making it glint as she flicked it back and forth with casual ease, her eyes never leaving their faces. The playfulness in her expression hinted at secrets, drawing their curiosity closer like moths to a flame. Terry’s eyes widened in surprise, his lips curling into an uncontrollable smile. He couldn’t hide his excitement, both at the sudden turn of events and the woman now seated beside him. He straightened up, shifting his posture to appear more confident, his chest puffing out slightly. As he took in her elegant form and self-assured demeanor, a spark of admiration glinted in his eyes. He liked what he saw, and his body language made it clear. Olaf, on the other hand, felt his pulse quicken. His shyness, especially around women — beautiful and confident women like her, made his throat tight. He could feel a slight bead of sweat forming on his temple, and his heart thudded harder in his chest. Outgoing personalities like Terry’s already put him on edge, but that woman’s poised confidence was even more overwhelming. His eyes darted nervously between Terry and her, trying to keep his composure. Despite the anxiety bubbling inside him, Olaf couldn’t deny his curiosity. “Who else is going to appear?” he wondered to himself, feeling the weight of mystery settle over him like a heavy cloak. He was just as intrigued as Terry. The woman’s golden card signaled she was part of this strange puzzle, and that alone kept his nerves at bay — for now. Sensing the mixed energy between the two men, the woman gave a soft, knowing smile. Her eyes flickered between them before she finally spoke again. “I’m Larissa Thomas,” she said, her voice as polished as her appearance. “I work as an architect for M&G Building Group.” The name struck a chord in both men. M&G was a renowned construction company, known for crafting elite, luxurious buildings for the wealthiest clientele. Larissa uncrossed and recrossed her legs, her posture still perfect, a picture of calm amid the growing tension between the strangers. “Have either of you heard of us?” she added, casually twirling the golden card between her fingers, her smirk never wavering. Terry nodded quickly, eager to engage. “Yeah, of course. You guys design those skyscrapers downtown, right?” Olaf, still trying to find his voice, swallowed hard and nodded as well, though his gaze remained mostly fixed on the floor. His mind raced with questions — about Larissa, about the golden cards, about this whole bizarre encounter. He couldn’t help but wonder what the next twist would be in this strange journey. With a delicate motion, Larissa reached into her sleek black Versace purse, tucking the golden card safely inside. She then produced a polished silver cardholder, the metal catching the light as she clicked it open. Extracting two business cards, she handed one to each of them. Olaf, ever formal, took the card gratefully and immediately offered his own in return. Terry, on the other hand, hesitated. He glanced at the card in his hand, feeling a pang of embarrassment. Business cards weren’t really his thing, and he tried to mask his discomfort with nonchalance. “I don’t really need this in my line of work,” Terry said, offering a dismissive shrug, trying to come off as above such formalities. Larissa glanced at him from the corner of her eye, a soft chuckle escaping her lips. She didn’t press the issue, turning her attention to Olaf’s card instead. As she read the embossed letters, her finger lightly tapped the edge of the card against her chin, her brow furrowing in thought. “Olaf Wittgenstein, Risk Analyst for L.A.R.S,” she read aloud, her gaze flickering up to meet his. “Cadmus! Your company handled the entire security system for that event, didn’t they?” Her voice carried a spark of recognition, though she maintained her serene composure. Olaf blinked in surprise. He hadn’t expected her to know about the event, much less connect him to it. A proud smile tugged at his lips. “Yes, exactly! I was the crew director onsite. It was a massive success,” he replied, straightening up slightly, his voice filled with pride. As the conversation flowed between them, Terry turned his gaze out the window, feeling a familiar twinge of inadequacy. He wasn’t part of this world of fancy job titles and high-profile events. His thoughts wandered until Larissa mentioned Cadmus, and suddenly everything clicked. Cadmus . . . that event. Terry frowned slightly, his mind racing. He knew about that event. In fact, he had played a pivotal role in it — though no one knew. He had worked for the host, designing the very security system L.A.R.S had used. The realization sent a jolt through him, but he kept silent for now, listening as pieces of the puzzle began to fall into place. “Well, it’s a small world Olaf,” Larissa remarked with a knowing smile. “M&G was responsible for remodeling the resort and building the auditorium specifically for that event.” Terry’s eyes narrowed slightly as Larissa spoke. The connections were beginning to form, but he needed more information before jumping to any conclusions. His curiosity finally got the better of him. “How did you meet P?” he asked, his voice cutting through the flow of conversation. The compartment fell silent. Both Olaf and Larissa stopped in their tracks, their eyes meeting briefly before Larissa leaned back in her seat. She turned her gaze to Terry, locking eyes with him. There was something in her expression — a mixture of amusement and intrigue. “I thought you were never going to ask,” she said, a sly smile playing at her lips as she continued to twirl Olaf’s business card between her fingers. 11:45 Underground Facility of Cobra Labs While the train rattled along its tracks, miles away, a quiet farmhouse sat nestled in the countryside, surrounded by fields of wheat and an old, weatherworn mill. On the surface, it appeared unremarkable, just another piece of forgotten land. But beneath it, hidden from view, lay a state-of-the-art underground facility, alive with the hum of technology. Deep within the subterranean complex, the walls were sleek and metallic, lined with screens displaying streams of data. The air was cool, almost sterile, punctuated only by the soft beeps and clicks of high-tech systems at work. In the heart of the facility, a small group gathered in a dimly lit room, illuminated by the glow of several holographic displays. At the center of the group stood a man dressed in black, his posture commanding yet relaxed. His fingers lightly tapped against the edge of a sleek phone, his eyes occasionally flicking down the screen. He was calm, detached even, but his steady gaze hinted at anticipation. “Are they on the train?” a woman’s voice broke the silence. She stood across the room, her tone measured, her curiosity piqued. The man gave a single nod. “Yes. All three of them.” “Are you sure they’ll show up at the right time?” asked a younger man sitting at a nearby console, his fingers dancing over a keyboard as streams of data filled the screen. “They will,” the man in black replied without hesitation, his voice steady. “P wouldn’t have brought them together if they weren’t essential.” He glanced back down at his phone. The time read 11:47 AM. Just then, the device buzzed softly in his hand, signaling a new message. His eyes flicked at the screen. “All on board and together.” The corners of his mouth curled ever so slightly into a satisfied smile.
