Chapter 1
*SANTANA*  Chapter 1 I just gotten home and my mom said something stupid. “I’m going to get married, hon.” She said excitedly. My mind was blank. What is she talking about? “Honey? Are you listening? I am getting married!” She told me again. And that snapped me back to realization. “What?!” I exclaimed. “I am get…” “I know mom… bu-but.. why? I mean…” I sighed. “Santana, honey…” she started and we sat on the couch. “ I’ve been living alone and it’s been 8 years since your dad died.” “You’re not alone mom, I’m here.” “Honey, that’s not what I meant. I don’t want to grow old alone, someday you will have your own life and leave me.” She explained. “That’s never gonna happen mom.” I said. She chuckled. “Thank you, but whether you like it or not, you will get married soon and have your own family-" I cut her off. “That won't ever happen either. I don’t like men, especially those who are pretty and stuff, they are gross.” She chuckled again. “You can’t say that… you haven’t found your Mr. Right, yet.” There was silence. “Mmhmm, by the way we will meet them…. Today.” She said. I stared at her. She knows how much I dislike surprises and changes, and she did that to me today already… twice. “Please honey, they really wanted to meet you.” “Whatever mom.” I said and stood up. “Be ready at 7, they will pick us up and wear a dress… please?” she begged and gave me puppy dog look. I rolled my eyes and stomped my feet up the stairs going to my room. “I love you, Santee.” I heard my mom yell. “Don’t call me Santee!” I yelled back when I was at my room. I dropped myself on my bed. This sucks! My life was already perfect. Why does she have to get married. I didn’t even know that my mom was dating some guy. ARGH!!! I hate her for doing this to me… to dad. I know, my dad died eight years ago. He had cancer. It was so hard for me, and I know mom grieved soo much from his death. She had to be strong for me. But marrying again? And now? Why can’t she just get married after two or three years from now, when I'm gone?! I had to prepare myself, it’s almost 7. I changed into my best clothes and went down stairs. “Santana?!” My mom exclaimed. “What?” I said shrugging my shoulders. “What are you wearing?” “Clothes?” She rolled her eyes. “I know you are wearing clothes, stupid. What I meant was…” “I know what you mean mom. This is the only good clothes I have.” “What? Where are all the shopping money I gave you to buy some decent clothes?” she asked. “I bought some books. I don’t like going to the mall to buy clothes, I hate seeing so many people.” I casually said. Before my mom could say anything about more my clothes, there was a knock on the door. I know it was them. My heart started to beat so fast. What if it’s a p*****t? I have read so many stories about having a step-father and then they r**e the daughters of their new wife. I felt chills run down my spine and erased my morbid thought. That will not happen to me. My mom panicked. “Do I look okay?” She asked I nodded and she open the door. “Bret!” she excitedly said to the man then gave him a hug and kiss. “Ewww.” I said under my breath. They both looked at me. “Bret, this is my daughter Santana, and honey this is Bret, my fiancé.” She said. Bret took my hand and shook it with a big smile. I feel dizzy… why? I looked at him and then… wham! Is this George Clooney? What the heck? “Honey, are you alright?” My mom said looking worried. “You look pale.” This is why I hate beautiful men. They make me feel sick! I mean literally. Now I don’t feel alright, but this is important to mom. “I-I’m fine.” I said. “Shall we?” Bret asked. Mom smiled and I nodded. We made our way to a very expensive looking restaurant. “My son is probably waiting inside.” Bret told us. “What?” I said looking at mom. “You didn't know that I have a son?” Bret asked  and I shook my head not removing my eyes from my mom. “I forgot I’m sorry Santee.” She said and kissed my forehead. “Whatever mom.” There are so many people and they are all dressed elegantly, now I feel like I’m wearing a rag. “Dad!” I heard someone said. I looked around and saw a guy waving his hands enthusiastically. “That’s my son.” Bret whispered to us. While we we’re walking towards the guy, the dizziness I felt back there increased. My head hurts… ‘What the heck?’ I thought. “Kris, Santana, this is my son Brian.” Bret said. “Hi, it’s so nice to meet the woman that made my dad talk none stop all day.” he said to my mom. Then he looked at me. I mean he stared at me… and looked at me from head to foot, before he smiled. “Hi, I’m Brian.” He said and offered his hand. I can’t take this anymore! Why is he so handsome? He is like shinning in front of me. My head hurts a lot, my vision started to fade… “Santana!” I heard my mom shout before I passed out.
