Blood Bound

I remember the smell of smoke in the air as I was abruptly woken from my slumber. "EL WAKE UP!" I heard my mom shout. I opened my eyes to the glow of embers against a far wall of room. "m-mommie" I said seeing my mom running towards me through my open door. last thing I remember I was outside with tears streaking through the soot on my face as Kevin , my fathers beta , was running with me thrown over his shoulder away from our home. -11 years later- I woke suddenly from a dream of my past... how I hated reliving the night I lost my family. with a sigh I tossed the covers to the side and got out of bed. I walked into my bathroom and splashed some water on my face. looking up in the mirror I looked at my dark brown hair and hazel eyes, it was the only thing I had left of my parents. From what Kevin told me my mother had dark brown hair and brown eyes, where as my dad had blond hair and hazel eyes. I tried to picture them but nothing came up just flames. "El wake up you gotta go to school !" I heard Kevin shout from the kitchen. if my mood wasn't bad enough already now I have to deal with the moronic members of the BloodRose pack. I guess me and Kevin where lucky in a way since they excepted us into their pack so long ago. I quickly brushed my teeth and hair pulling it into a ponytail. I finished getting ready putting on a pair of jeans and plain grey t-shirt , I preferred to keep it simple and very rarely wore makeup. grabbing a jacked and my backpack I headed to the kitchen. "morning sleepy head want some eggs" Kevin said with a smile on his face. I couldn't help but smile looking at him and his ladybug apron. " nah I'm good" I grabbed an apple and headed towards the door" Wait!" I turned and raised an eye brow at Kevin "yes?" with an even bigger grin he pulled out a small box from a cabinet and tossed it to me " happy birthday, if you don't have plans ill make dinner tonight and we can rent a movie" I caught the box and smiled " sounds good ,can I invite Tristan?" I opened the box to reveal a moon shaped necklace, I didn't normally wear jewlery but id make an exception for this. "yeah of course you can invite that weirdo" laughing I put on the necklace and looked at Kevin. "just because he use to eat worms when we were kids doesn't make him weird~" I said leaving the house heading down a path towards the school.
