When you think of an Alpha's daughter, you think of a well behaved and sensible girl, right?

Well, that's not really the case with Alexandria Paradis.

Only daughter of Alpha Alexander of Dark Moon and better known as Xan to her friends, she is the resident bad girl of Pine Springs High. This is her last year of high school and she is in for one hell of a ride!

Between experimenting with drugs, partying with her group of life long friends, finding a mate, crushing on his best friend, dealing with horny teenage boys, dodging an annoying fellow Alpha, and struggling with a loss she never came to terms with; Xan faces the fact that she is running out of time to grow up.

Join her on her journey through her last year before she has to become an adult.

Turns out werewolf teenager struggles sometimes aren't all that different than human teenagers!

Rebellious Alpha
I looked at the stars as the haze started to take over me. My body floating freely, skin prickling from the cold waves. My long blond hair lay out around me, knotted from the chlorine. "Xan, I think its kicking in for me," Mar giggled. "What about you?" I stayed quiet, allowing my body to float in the water as the stars and moon became incredibly vivid. I realized my heart was beating loud enough for anyone nearby to hear. "Earth to Xan. Are you alive?" Mar said, splashing me after still no answer. "Mar, you ever wonder what the hell is even the point? We're born, we live under the order of the Alpha and Luna, we train, we fight, we go to school, if we're lucky we find our mate, and then after popping out pups we die. Usually from attacks or something stupid like that. Why?" I think my sudden response shocks her. Or maybe the response itself. "Oh Goddess, is it gonna be one of those highs? Please don't kill my buzz with your Socrates s**t again, Xannie bo Bannie. We said we'd pop the pills, break into the human pool, and swim. I didn't risk coming here for nothing. If our dads find out we're here, we're dead. Let's just enjoy being 17 please? Not debate the meaning of she-wolf life." She said rolling her eyes. And she's right. We'd be dead if our parents found out we've been going into the city. Our fathers were strict. Mine being the Alpha and her's the Beta. We’ve been best friends since pups. There was a time when we were completely inseparable. Not that we aren’t now. We’ve just kinda grown up.  Just a little. We have a lot of growing up to do still. "Hey Xan, why do you think the humans put these lights in the pool if they close it at dark?" She laughed. I giggled. “To keep the big bad wolves away. RAWR!”  And cue the flashing lights.  "s**t, girl. Time to run!" Mar says, a look of complete deviousness on her face. Now for the fun part! We jump out of the pool. Its just a public human pool. We’ve been sneaking here since we got our licenses.  We swim in just our underwear to keep it simple. We climb the back fence that leads off into an empty field surrounded by trees. We climb quickly, easily. The poor cops haven't even made it into the gate yet before we're to the treeline. As Mar runs in front of me with her long legs, her dark curls bounce all around. She turns back, laughing. I envy how beautiful she is. She's always so effortlessly carefree. Once we make it to the safety of the treeline, we take off our stuff, our bag still sitting on a branch. Mar looks at me as she grips the bag in her teeth. I can feel my adrenaline high, I can see Mar's rush plastered on her face. We begin to run and shift as we do. As we run through the woods to Mar's car, we pass a group of homeless people. They scream in terror (they're humans, of course they do!). One man shouts "Second time I've seen those fuckin' wolves with a bag. Wolves ain't supposed to be that big. Those are werewolves!" Mar and I make it back to the car. We quickly throw on some clothes, laughing hysterically. By now our high is almost gone. Unfortunately, drugs just don't last that long for the werewolf community. But it still makes life interesting for us. Life for a rebellious teenage she-wolf really isn’t much different than life for a rebellious teenage human girl.
