Tales Untold

        "The time of the year has come!" Exclaimed my bestie, Ari. I looked at her, she always was a fan of halloween, even though we were both 15.I rolled my eyes "Are you serious?Ari, listen, Halloween is just some holiday we celebrate, theres no ghost or ghouls lurking around." Ari looked at me "Really Chole?I heard that theres this ha-" "LETS GO TO THE HOUSE!!!" Suddenly, a girl with glasses and a romper came running for us. "What took you so long Lily?" I asked. She stopped to catch her breathe, and looked at me "Listen Chole, i know you donʻt believe in the supernatural.Your like an anti horror person.So, me and Ari were searching for something, to prove our point, and -" "Whats your point?" i said as i interrupted her mid-sentence. They both looked at me with a grin, as they said in unison, "Supernatural is real" Ari and Lily gave me a playful grin.I knew where this was going, and i didnʻt like it. . .  I sighed "Are you saying, taking me to this "Haunted House" is going to prove your point?" They both nodded eagerly.I knew saying no would make them even more determined, so i shook my head slowly, and prayed for the best. The week flew past, and before i knew it, here we were, going on an expedition to this supposedly haunted house. I had this uneasy feeling while we were packing.I felt like i should bring a knife, or a bat. But i ignored it. My Mistake We finished packing, and head out.The "haunted house" was in a park,  just two blocks from us. The park took up a whole block, it was big, with a forest at the end.There was this path that lead to the edge of the forest and continued through this shady looking forest. Lily and Ari said it was about a 30 minute walk into the forest, and then we have to turn off onto a makeshift path for another 15 minutes. As we were about 15 minutes into the forest, i kept hearing a quiet crunch and a whisper behind us. "Hey, Ari, Lily, do you guys hear that?" i asked nervously. "Hear What?" Lily asked. "Your just imagining things, Its just us."  Ari said confidently.But i could hear the nervousness in her voice. "Wow, thats rich coming out of Mrs.Supernatural." "Oooo, burn!" "Shut up Lily, Your not helping." "You to Ari, You and Lily are suppo-" I saw a shadow in the corner of my eye, and turned my head.I saw something move just beyond the treeline. But, it was too dark for my dull flashlight to shine any further.
