I exhaled for the third time already. I don't know if my co-applicant seen what i been doing since i sat on this f*****g chair. Were a hundred of applicant who has been trying to apply on this assistant job, but ever since i came her nobody came out on that door smiling. That's why i'm so nervous patiently waiting for my turn. Hundreds of applicants and now were down to five people waiting for our turn, but i feel like its forever before they'll call my name. "Hiyasmin Jade Lazaro." I instantly stood up when i heard my name called from that glass door. I felt like my whole career will end in this job if they reject me. Cause I’ve been looking for a job for a month already and this is my one of many interview since then. So i can't lose this job cause I’ll end up sleeping on the street next week. My landlady Mrs. Catipi, she would definitely kick me out of her house. "Good morning Ms. Lazaro! Please take a seat." A lady were seating in front of me were elegantly scanning the paper in front fo her. As if she's one of the maiden in the roman centuries. I think she's in her fifties but she really are beautiful and stunning just by sitting on that chair. Unlike me, my mother always say's I act like a boy and talk like a gay. I really don't know if its good or bad. But one thing is for sure she's always making fun of me. "I already scan your CV and its say's here that its your first time to do this kind of job." I pinch my hands as I heard what she said. It looks like she's having second thoughts of me now. I need to get this job or I’ll eat with the stray dog outside the street. "Yes, madam. Actually this is only my second job, I wanted to take a job that's related on my course and I ended up here." She nodded and look at me, or the right word were observing me. "I see! Can you handle stress?" I don't know if she's testing me, but I need to do my very best for this! "Yes madam! Im a very patient and understandable person. So I'm very capable of handling stress and stressful jobs—" "Your not handling a stress job Ms. Lazaro! But your handling a very stressful boss can you handle that?" She say's it, as if she's treating me. But I wont back down. I can do this! "Yes madam! I can handle anything!" "Okay. Your hired then. Hope you can handle my son at your very best. Welcome to Puertonillo Empire." “Thank you, Madam.” I said it with conviction and full of confidence as I accept her hands. But that was one week ago, right now I wanted to take back what I said to her. I didn't expect that this job will push me to hell. That i'll be working with the Demon itself. "Ms. Lazaro, Coffee in my table now!"-he said it while passing through on my table. Ever since I got here, I didn't get a chance to say a proper good morning on him. Before I could open my mouth, his already finish giving me instruction for something. I feel like i've running out of time every time Im in front of him. On my second day I just wanted to take back what I said to her mother. Cuz I feel like I lost half of my life because of his grumpy attitude. "Sir you have a schedule meeting for Mr. Choi for the new project his proposing on you. And there's another meeting at ten am for Mr. Naval." Reminding him as I put the coffee on his table. "Cancel all of them!" I rolled my eyes as I heard him say's that. Cuz for sure his going to take down all there offer. So cruel! "But they already con—" "Just cancel it! Tell them im not in the mood for their bargain business proposal.” As always. He's the most bossy boss, arrogant boss I had. But his also the childish one. I don't know why all the girls here were ogling him as if his a good prey. The most asshole and a big jerk I know as of the moment. He dump all his girls like a hot potato if he found someone new. What a jerk! "Sayin' something Ms. Lazaro?" "Nothing sir. I'll just cancel your meetings then. Please excuse me." I just come out on his office but now Im hearing him shouting his lungs out. If you're his employee, every time he calls you need to ready your ears, and your heart. Cuz his going to eat you alive like a madman. "What did I tell you? Wtf, did I tell you Gina? I need a very detailed report. Did you follow my instructions? Coz if you did, you can answer every question im asking you right now! Damn it!” I almost jump out on my sit every time he curse and shout. I don't know where did he gets his everyday energy to shout and to mock every people he can encounter. He always makes time to bring you down to your lowest. The moment he opens his mouth you'll going to lose every single positivity you have. "Sir, I really reviewed it last night! I really did my best to present it today." Gina silently cried in-front of him. "If you did then, how come you cant answer me? Get out of her! Get out!" I pitied every person who came in and out on that door. Cuz its either the two, you'll resign or his going to fire you. "Gina, im really sorry. Maybe his not in the mood today." I console Gina when the Demon close his door. "I really did review my report Jade. It's just im so nervous in front of him. I thought im going to die the moment I stand in front of him." She cried. All I can do is give her assurance that everything will be okay. Even though even I myself is not sure what's okay and not on this f*****g demon. After Gina left, I get myself busy with all the papers I need to review. Actually that's not my job but im engaging myself too. Cuz if I rely this to them, before this month end, I will end up working alone on all post in this company. "Ms. Lazaro..." I almost jumped on that. "Is there a problem? I saw you making faces a while ago." Yes sir, you're the problem in this company. Can I fire you? Cuz your toxic to this place and making our workplace miserable. "Miss Lazaro?" "Ah, sorry sir. Im fine sir, im just reviewing the papers they sent me. Anyway do you need something sir?" “Be ready for my meeting for Mr. Naval.” I almost dropped my mouth on what he said. “But sir---you said its cancelled?” “Did i? But i wanted to do it now!” “You f*****g asshole.” I almost curse him by how much I hated him during those times. Fortunately, he never heard what I said. It's annoying, he just tells me that his cancelling the meeting, now he wanted to do it. What kind of brain does this guy have? Women are more than capable of thinking straight than him. If I’ve given a chance to burst my anger on this man, i’ll bet he can never recover. I frantically followed him into his car. His driver, Gil, immediately met us and opened the car door for him. "He had a very strong hand for such a job, and that would have no need to be ordered to others." I had to whisper to myself before getting into the car. Gil were smiling as he hears what i said. "Do you have a problem Ms. Lazaro? You've been upset since we left the office." I smirked when i hear his question. This guy is so numb he doesn't even know when he's funny and or not. "No sir, I suddenly feel bad." - he nodded. I thought he was going to let me go home because of what I said, but he was really numb. The whole time I was sitting there listening to them talk, I became more sleepy. I was surprised when someone suddenly put a drink in front of me. When I looked up, I saw the back of Mr. Puertonillo is back in his chair. I didn't even notice that he had left his place. Quiet if you drink it while listening to them. "Ms. Lazaro try to eat this with your drink. It tastes good." Mr. Naval son push a plate of cake that has not been eaten in front of me. But before I could say anything, the man on the other side of me spoke. "Ms. Lazaro just eaten. That's enough for her." -he said that make the old Naval laughed. I don't know what time we ended at that meeting. My hip almost ached as they finished talking. He said they were briefly talk but unfortunately its already late at night and I was hungry. "Gil and I will take you home. It's too late for you to commute." "I'm fine even at the corner of our place. I'm hungry and I want to eat. You're always starving me. I'll tell your Mom about this." - I yelled at him before glancing at one side of the vehicle. " "I'm not starving you Ms. Lazaro. May i just remind you that this includes your work and that I pay you right, so that you can buy your own food." It looks like he's just paying me. When I get tired of you I’l leave you all alone. And i think you can look for a secretary as efficient as me . I'm the only one who perseveres in your behavior. "Why is there something wrong in my attitude?" I immediately held my mouth and growled as he looked around. "I'm not saying anything." "I heard you said something about my behavior, Hiyasmin Jade." "Nothing. You’ve just imagine that. Hey are we going somewhere? This is not my way home.” "You're coming down to eat. I thought your hungry right now?" I stared at him. I just followed him as he was getting out of the car. You never really know what this one is thinking. Sometimes you will enjoy his mood but you will often get annoyed. He doesn't care what others think or say as long as he does what he wants. So I'm not surprised that many people were afraid and mad at him. He’s really a snob. My boss who’s were half evil and half demon.
