Numb Feeling (MxM) Volume 1 Takano Masamune Chapter 1: One Night Stand (1) *** “Ugh…” Reece was woken up by his alarm that blared louder than usual for some reason. He touched the top of the bed searching for his phone until his hand landed on an unfamiliar thing instead. Opening his eyes Reece was shocked to see that beneath his fingers was the face of a man he didn’t want to see. “Oh, so you finally woke up?” The other asked him while grabbing the man’s hand with his own, he smiled at him in a way that made it look playful but the other was terrified. “What in the world are you doing here in my bed?!” Reece yelled out loud as he pulled his hand back, his alarm was still blaring but he couldn’t even hear it anymore due to the current shock he was experiencing. “It’s actually neither your nor my bed, we’re at a hotel.” The man replied, his name was Alec, the person Reece hated the most and also his old classmate and bully… “Why would I be in the same hotel room as you?! f**k…” Reece felt a strange pain in his lower abdomen. “I need to take my meds…” He mumbled under his breath as he rummaged through his bag which was laying on the ground, at that moment he realized he was completely naked as well. Finding his suppressants, the omega gulped down two pills without water and then turned to glare at the man that sat there on the bedside looking somewhat entertained by the entire ordeal. “What is it?” Reece asked angrily. “Nothing, I was just wondering why you’d take suppressants when your heat is over thanks to me?” Alec asked with a sort of self indulgent smile across his face. “What do you mean my heat is over? It had just…” At those words escaping his lips, Reece paused for a moment. He couldn’t remember what day it was or when did his heat start. He couldn’t remember anything at all. “It’s exactly as I said, your heat ended thanks to me, so you don’t need these.” Alec who was no less naked than the man on the ground, stood up proudly displaying all his unnecessarily large body parts, particularly the one in between his legs, only to kneel down and grab the small bottle of pills, throwing them away onto the carpet. “What game are you playing?” Reece asked, his anger was already boiling over the more he looked at the man he despised since the beginning. “If you don’t remember anything that happened yesterday then I guess I should remind you.” Alec said as he pulled the man by the hand and pushed him down so that his ass was the only thing up in mid air. “Let go of me you prick!” Reece said as he struggled and escaped the man’s grasp easily. As he stood up he realized the other was still looking at him intently. “You’re not pretending to have forgotten… you really don’t remember?” Alec asked with a bit of wonder in his voice. Looking up at the man that glared down at him with the wrath of a thousand fires. “What do you think you dumb ass!? Why would I lie about something like that, f*****g s**t for brains!” Reece yelled out and cursed the man out repeatedly, he looked somewhat scared at that moment but even more than his fears his anger was controlling his actions. “I see, if you don’t remember I can’t force you to but you better figure it out soon. Since we’ll be spending more time together from now on.” Alec said as he stood up off the ground and headed to the bathroom. He looked careless in his actions and the other man stood on edge. “What’s that supposed to mean?” Reece asked while his eyes followed the man’s back. “I’ll tell you over breakfast, so don’t go anywhere.” Alec said as he closed the door to the bathroom, a few seconds later you could hear the shower being turned on. ‘As if I’ll just sit here and wait for you to come back…’ Reece thought to himself as he looked around, he couldn’t find his clothes, but he found a pair that seemed neatly prepared for Alec instead. In his haste to leave he clumsily put those clothes on and headed out the door in a rush. The more he tried to remember what happened between them that night, the less he could recall. The new fancy clothes he wore against his skin that felt a bit bruised was strange. The cold wind from outside making his foggy brain feel just a little bit clearer but it didn’t make remembering anything any easier… …but most of all, what worried him was that at the very back of his neck there was a throbbing pain he couldn’t quite describe… Reece felt the pounding in his head was louder than ever, as he barely managed to get back to his own apartment, which was currently looking like a pig’s dump, he laid down onto his sofa, too tired to reach his bedroom… “Just what happened last night?” Reece mumbled under his breath, his desperate attempts to recall the events from the night before brought him nowhere. And the uncomfortable feeling inside his stomach was growing by each second. He stood up and headed to the bathroom as he showered he discovered a certain pale white liquid inside him that he was pretty sure wasn’t there before. “No way…” Reece mumbled under his breath, staring down at his hand, he didn’t want o believe it was what he assumed it was. “We actually…” He felt like Alec was acting overly intimate with him but the last thing he’d assume was that the two of them had had s*x. After all it didn’t make any sense, why would the very man that bullied him all throughout his school years now sleep with him? But that wasn’t even the most important question. “How did I end up there?” Reece let the water from the shower head drip down his entire body as he stumbled onto that very question. His mind was completely blank, he didn’t recall being drugged, nor drunk, he didn’t remember going outside, he didn’t even think he remembered meeting the man until this morning. It was not only a blur inside his mind but a complete mystery to him otherwise as well. Suddenly there was a knock at the door, Reece had just finished his shower and put on a pair of clean clothes. Heading towards the door, the moment he opened it he was greeted by men dressed in all black that waited for him. “What do you want?” Reece asked while glaring up at them, he already assumed they wouldn’t be up to any good. “Master Alec wishes to invite you to his home.” One of the guards said, although they were dressed rather scary, it didn’t seem like they’d force him to go with them if he didn’t want to. “Why?” Is all Reece could muster up the courage to ask. It hadn’t even been three hours since he left the man’s home and now he was being called back there again. “It’s your decision whether to follow us, but if you wish to know what happened the day before you might as well.” The guard spoke in a monotone voice that was devout of much feeling. It felt like that line was coming from Alec himself instead of the guard standing before Reece. Reece thought about it for a bit, having been left little choice in the matter in the first place, after all more than anything he wanted to understand why he’d slept with the man he hates so much… and also why did his heat cycle suddenly stop because of it? There were too many unanswered questions so he was ready to face the man one more time if it meant he could finally understand what was going on…
