Nicholas Garreth, a werewolf by birth hated the very truth. He never wanted to be a part of his pack. He tried his best to hide his truth from the world. His life changes when he is forced to marry a normal girl Eleana Rozario by his parents. He never wanted to accept the marriage and so he continues his carefree life with all his hookups. Will Nick accept Eleana or will they go their separate ways?

“So, if I don’t mark her and make her one amongst us, then how will the pack get the future alpha after me?” Nick asked.

“It doesn’t matter because you will transfer it to your generations through your blood. Eleana will know the truth once she becomes a mother but I am sure she will accept it.” Nimmi opined.

“How can you be so sure?” Nick asked.

“Paulson already knows the truth and I am sure he will make Eleana understand.” Nimmi’s words startled Nick.

Prologue
“Dad, I am not going to marry that girl. How can you even think about making a relationship with those Rozarios? I am your only son and you want me to marry the daughter of Paulson Rozario. Did you ever notice that man? He seemed like he was coming out of some ancient tribe. He always reminds me of my history lessons. His face is so ugly that mothers could scare their children just by showing his photo. I am sure his daughter will be a replica of him.” Nick’s words made his father Louis fume with anger.  If it was not for his mother Nimmi, Louis would have transformed into his most dangerous form. Nimmi tried to calm down her husband and motioned Helga to take Nick out of the room. Helga at once understood her master’s signal and asked the young master to come out of the room. Nick still wanted to argue but after seeing his mother’s warning look, he retreated back. He stomped out of the room and went straight to his room. He had planned to go out with his friends but now he lost all his interest. He had never thought that his father would ask him to marry an unknown woman and that, too, the daughter of a middle-class bank employee. Helga had followed Nick to his room. Helga knew Nick very well. She had seen him since childhood. She was not just a maid of the Gareth family but also Nick’s nanny.  “Nick, my dear, please don’t get upset. Everything will be fine. Your father will never do anything that’s bad for you,” Helga said. “Helga, you heard what he wants me to do. I am his only son and he wants me to marry a girl from a middle-class family. There are a lot of high-class families who want to marry their daughter to me and, out of all, my dad chose this girl. How could he do this to me?” Nick asked. “I am sure this girl will be really special or else your parents will never choose her for you. You please relax and take your own time. I will just go and bring your special coffee. It will make you feel better,” Helga said, and went out. Nick was having his coffee when Nimmi came to his room. Seeing his mother, Nick turned his head away from him. She came and sat beside him and began to caress his head. “Stop doing that mom, I am not a small boy.” Nick dodged off his mother’s hand. “Exactly, you are not a small boy anymore. In fact, you are not even a teenager. You are a grown-up man. You are going to be 29 in a couple of months,” Nimmi said. “So what mom, I will still be your boy.” Nick laid down on his mother’s lap after keeping the coffee cup on the table.  “You will always be my little boy, but that doesn’t mean that you can run away from your responsibility,” Nimmi said. “What do you mean? I know that I am not giving my entire time to our business, but, I have still always been there whenever dad needed me.” Nick said. “I am not talking about business. Why do you always try to run away from the truth? You have to accept reality. It’s in your blood and you can’t change it.” Nimmi tried to convince him. “You know mom, if I could change it I would have done it a long time ago. I can't believe how you agreed to come to this world. Unlike me, you did have options,” Nick wondered. “Well, love makes you do anything and I don’t have any regrets over my decision. I chose your dad because I loved him.” Nimmi said. “But you had to give up a lot for that. You had to be apart from your family and your friends. That decision even made you barren after having me.” Nick sighed. “There is no gain without pain. I agree that I have lost a lot, but I have got a loving husband and a caring son. I am happy with the life I have and zero regrets,” Nimmi said. “But I don’t like this life, mom. I want to live a normal life,” Nick said. “Yeah, the playboy of the state wants to have a normal life so that you can hook up 24*7. Nick, we have given you a lot of freedom and never stopped you from living your life in your own way. But now it’s time to take responsibility. Your father needs you Nick,” Nimmi said. “Mom, what’s the connection between taking the responsibility and getting married to an unknown woman?” Nick asked. “Nick, you are going to be 29 and have never been in a serious relationship besides your hookups and one-night stands. If you are not going to find your partner, then as your parents, it’s our responsibility to do that for you.” Nimmi said. “Mom, I understand that, but amongst all the high-profile girls out there, you chose the girl who is the daughter of an ugly man. How can you even think that I would agree to marry the daughter of such a man,” Nick fumed. “Don’t you dare call Mr. Rozario likes that again. He is the most humble person one could ever meet. You can’t just judge a person by appearance. The beautiful girls who lick your d**k just for your money are the ugliest because they are horrible and venomous from inside. Unlike them, Mr. Rozario has a beautiful heart and we are sure that his daughter will have the same qualities,” Nimmi said. “Why are both of you always praising that man?” Nick wondered. “Because we owe him our lives. If it was not for him, we would never have lived a happy life. When the time comes, you will know the truth by yourself,” Nimmi said. “Mom, can’t I have a normal life?” Nick asked desperately. “Yes, you can and that’s why we have chosen Eleana for you,” Nimmi said. “As far as I know, Mr. Rozario is a normal person, unlike us. His daughter will run away once she knows the truth.” Nick said. “I am sure she will not, because not even me, your mother, have ever seen your true self. You always hide during that day and I wonder how you were able to do that all these years. But now it’s time to come out and face reality.” Nimmi said. “If I come out, then Miss. Rozario will find out the truth. Then how will she marry her?” Nick smirked. “You can still keep it a secret from her. You just have to accompany us on those days after making some excuse to Eleana. She wouldn’t mind being alone for a day. You just have to take care not to mark her if you don’t want to drag her into our world.” Nimmi suggested. “If it was in my hands I would have escaped from here myself. How could I drag someone else with me? Mom, forget about me accompanying you ever to that place. I would never do that in my right mind.” Nick frowned. “You have to, Nick. Your father is not just the alpha of our pack but the head of all the alphas of our state. It’s because of your father there is no fight between the packs of our state. You have no idea how much other packs outside the state envy your father. Your father has to pass on the alpha position of the pack in order to perform his duty as the head of all the alphas.” Nimmi explained. “Then he can choose someone more eligible within the pack. Why me?” Nick asked. “You don’t know the tradition of our pack. In our pack, the alpha position is handed over to the next generation through blood relationships. As you know, your father doesn’t have any successor other than you,” Nimmi said. “Fine, I will take the responsibility, but what’s the need of me getting married?” Nick asked. “That’s another tradition. The alpha position is handed over only to a married werewolf. Usually our kind finds their mate themselves. Your father found me and was able to mark me because I, too, did feel the same way as he did, despite the fact that I was a normal human then. In your case, you have never tried to find your mate because you never wanted to be one among us. I am afraid that you will never find your mate unless we choose one,” Nimmi said. “Then why didn’t you choose one from amongst you?” Nick asked. “Well, mates are not just found by males but by females too. If we choose one among us and in the future she finds her mate, then your relationship may be affected. That won’t happen if you marry a human,” Nimmi explained.
