Chapter 1
Dimetiri Welt Blackport Police Department Year 2035 “Initiating call for monster hunters, come in,” a deep male voice commanded in their heads using mental telepathy. They stare at each other for a while before running excitedly to the meeting room.           “Finally, looks like a new mission for us!” Ros excitedly said and speed his way up to the room, leaving traces of dust behind the others.           “Ugh! I hate it when he does that! If only I have that ability!” Itan said, looking annoyed while swiping the dust away from her. The wind follows the direction her hand makes and clears the area in no time.           “He’s over there!” she shouted. She commands her air to lift her and follow Ros who looks invisible because of his unearthly speed. The rest just shrugged their shoulders and continue running out in the oval.           They are currently in the field doing jogs and stretching when their commander called in through their mind link. They continued running and saw the two fighting when they reached their location.           “I told you to stop using super speed! You’re cheating!” Itan exclaimed while holding a bunch of his hair in her hand. The latter is almost bent while looking up because of the pull she’s giving to his hair.           “Stop it Sheritan! Aww, my hair!” he said while wincing in pain. Itan pulled his hair deeper that made him sit on the ground.           “I told you, it’s Itan! Sheri’s not here… aaah!” she shouted and faint in her position. Good thing that Ros immediately caught her that prevents her from falling to the cold ground.           “It’s happening again, right?” Klio said while going to their direction. She pointed a finger at Sheritan’s forehead and the latter slowly opened her eyes.           “W-What happened?” she asks softly. Gone is the aggressive Itan a while ago. What we have now is a soft spoken and graceful Sheri who looks totally clueless of what is happening in her environment.           “Did I fall? Thank you, Roscoe,” she said and smiled at Ros who is blushing at the moment. He helps her regain balance and hid his face to avoid more embarrassment.           “If you’re not here within 30 seconds, I’ll give this mission to the other team and you’re all banned from receiving missions for the rest of your lives,” a man’s voice sternly said in our heads. No one wasted any second and use their abilities to get there on time.           Ros held Klio by the arm and speed his way through the meeting room. On the other hand, Sheri used her air to make them float and fly to the large windows in the meeting room.           “Three, two, o—“ the man stopped counting when he saw the two of them rushing to the open door.           “We’ve made it, hah!” Ros said while catching his breath. His gaze shifted on the open windows and his eyes went large as he saw them gracefully entering the room through that window.           “You cheaters!” he said while pointing fingers at them. They just smirked at him and sit on the available chairs.           He sat in the chair looking annoyed and pathetic because he was sweating hard while they look so normal, unlike him.           “Nice hair, Roscoe,” Sheri said that made the rest laugh. Meanwhile, Ros doesn’t know if he’ll be flattered or annoyed because of what she said. Even if he won’t look at a mirror, he’s sure as hell that he looks bad. He just ignored her remarks and roams his gaze on the room.           “Hah! We’re not complete, look who’s getting punished Salv—“ his sentence stopped in mid-air as his gaze landed on the man who is calmly sipping coffee at the back of their commander.           “Are you saying something, Roscoe Freud?” he asked smirking. Roe’s mouth is still gaping wide, that’s why Klio had to slap him to get back in his senses. He was about to punch her when he realized who she was. He just shrugged his shoulders and look intently at the commander who looks amused by just watching them.           “Shall we start, Commander?” Salvatore asked while walking in a slow pace in their direction.           “Yes, take your seat,” he motioned to them. He looks at them intently one by one before faking a cough to get their attention.           “I received a report from our Intel that a certain country called Philippines is in need of dire help due to wide possession of demons in the dead human vessels,” he said that raised a lot of questions.           “Dead human vessels?”           “Demons possessing them, it’s normal, right?”           “Philippines? Isn’t it long gone since the war started?”           The room started to become noisy because of their opinions about what their commander said. Almost everyone in the room kept on murmuring and exchanging questions, except for one.           “I knew it,” Salvatore said in a monotonous voice. All of their attention has been drawn to him, confused about what he said.           “You knew what, Sal?” Klio asked while staring at him. The latter stared back, before turning his gaze to everyone.           “I knew something wrong is happening in that country. I don’t really believe that they got wiped out due to the World War III that happened five years ago,” he said while looking straight at their commander who is doing the same to him.           It looks like they were communicating through private mental telepathy. Sheri just brushed her hair while Klio look at her nails. Meanwhile, Ros just stare out of nowhere, still unable to process what they had said a while ago.           “Alright,” their commander said. “It is now set. You will travel by the sea since all communication and other vehicles are prohibited in the land and air. The sea is a safer route as we will help you conceal your presence and sneakily pass that area,” he continued while bringing a folder from the racks. Salvatore raised his finger in the air, and in just one swift motion the single folder duplicates and instantly becomes in our hand. “Wow,” he exclaimed. Ros can’t hide his amusement to his ability.  ‘It must be good possessing those,’ he said to himself. He raised his head and turned his gaze to the man who’s looking at him intently. ‘Of course, he can read through anything,’ he smiled at the thought as he shook his head.           “I knew this would happen,” Cashmere uttered. All of the attention goes to him since this is the first time that he talked after a while.           “What do you mean? What did you see?” Sheri asked, and then suddenly nods her head as he remembered his ability.           “I’m a seer, remember?” he said in a matter of fact tone. “I saw this coming, and guess what?” he said and smirked as he eyed them one by one. His gaze focused on Salvatore who is also looking at him intently. Cashmere shook his head, before saying the words that shock us all.           “I saw that the world will end, and it is in our hands if we will let that happen or not.”
