Blue River Academy

My name is Valentine Edward. I am human. Or at least I think I am. I was brought up with my brother by my mother and father as part of the human faction still in existence. The vast majority of humans have already been killed or turned by the supernatural species. In a war that has spanned the last 100 years. I have had enough, I want this war to be over. I have been living in the camp with my brother since we were both born. He is my twin you see, My other half. We went to school together, Played together. We had the same friends. In our friend group was me, Benji, Theo and Ava. Ava is Theo’s girlfriend. Even though we all grew up together and have known each other forever there isn't anywhere I would rather be. Benji is tall with blonde hair and a massive attitude. He thinks that he is the best, the best at everything. If he is proved other wise he will do everything he can to be the best. Benji has blue eyes and is over 6 foot tall and muscular. He is the best brother I could ask for, I wouldn't know what to do without him. Benji is much like me, he is different. We both are. We are stronger, faster, more intelligent and braver than other humans. We learn quicker, we heal faster. This is what makes us different. Are we just human? I don't know, I am beginning to wonder myself. Our parents were taken from us when we were 5 years old. Vampires attacked a resource gathering mission, my parents didn't make it back. Our father was taken by the vampires, alive. I don’t know if he is alive now or was used as a feeder and is now dead. We were raised by the Major. He is like our father, he looked after us when our parents disappeared. It was hard for him, he did his best and we all knew it. He Protects us! Always has and he always will. Things changed recently, when there was an attack on our camp. There were a lot of deaths from both sides and Benji as well as some others were taken. They were werewolves. I don't know what has happened to my brother or the others that were taken. Part of me hopes they were killed and not turned into werewolf’s. The other part of me hopes that they are still alive. The wolves sometimes turn their captives and make them join the pack. Sometimes they use the people they have captured as practice, for hunting. I hope this hasn't happened to Benji, I miss my brother, I hope I see him again. Either in this life or the next. The attacks on my people are becoming more and more frequent. Staying where we are is becoming more and more dangerous. Something needs to be done. I am one is going to do it. To save my people and the other supernatural species. The pack that attacked us has been following us for the last few days. When we have gone out to gather food or other missions we have spotted them. It's always the same wolves, a big black wolf and a grey wolf. It seems to me like they are after something, something they are missing. We have nothing that they haven't already got themselves. Are they after more human captives that they can use to practice hunting or are they building their numbers. I will not follow the same fate that has befallen the rest of my family, I will die before I let something happen to me.
