Prologue
Starlight Pack's Territory
The air sounded with the ringing of metal as the warriors of the Moonlight Pack trained in the early hours of the morning. The fields around the Pack House were filled with battling pairs of soldiers as they fought against each other, although none with as much vigour as the pair fighting in the far corner of the arena. Soft brown hair, stuck to his forehead with sweat, tan skin, shining slightly from the moisture leaking from it, and bright blue eyes accompanied the young boy as he battled his twin sister, although they looked nothing alike. His twin was the only female warrior in the entire pack but was also their best and most fierce, as she was known to be underestimated by most she always proved herself to be better than any male she ever came across. She fought with more skill than any of the males who were fighting behind her and instead of using muscles and brawn to win her fights she used her agility and mind to out-think and move her opponents. Her inky black hair was in a long braid down her back, flying in circles as she attacked and dodged her brother, her tan skin glistening with sweat and her own bight blue eyes shining like her brother's identical pair as they fought. That was the only similarity between the two, their shining bright blue eyes.
"Is that the best you can do Isaac?" The 16-year-old girl taunted her brother. A growl exited the boy's thought as he swung his sword in an arc towards his sister.
"Never, Kyia, or should I say, little sis." A smirk danced on his features as he finished his sentence although it was soon wiped from his face when in a few swift motions, his sword was in Kyia's hand and the blades of both swords placed on either side of his neck.
"Only by 2 minutes, Zaccy." She said with a smirk as she lowered the swords. Isaac grumbled at his sister's ability to fight better than himself, especially as fighting was one of the things men prided themselves on. He watched as his sister happily skipped away and returned both weapons to the rack that was hanging on the wall before returning to his side.
"I'm going to go for a run, you can join me if you wish," Kyia said as she walked past him and into the forest. Isaac didn't even blink as this was the normal routine for his sister. Train, pack up, let her wolf free and then eat breakfast, or lunch depending on how much energy her wolf has.
"Next time, sis, I need a shower, and something to eat, I starving." Soft laughter greeted his ears as he caught a glimpse of her just as she disappeared into the forest that surrounded the packhouse. Sighing to himself Isaac walked inside to clean himself of sweat, trailing tiredly up the stair and into the bathroom. Drying himself, a large yawn exited his mouth as he and his sister had been training since the sun rose early that morning. 'A few moments of shut-eye won't do any harm will it?' Jack, Isaac's wolf, asked tiredly. 'I can't see a reason why.' Isaac responded, even his internal voice sounded sleepy. Collapsing onto the bed, he was asleep within seconds, and completely oblivious to what was going on below him.

Meanwhile, Kyia was trotting slowly back to the packhouse, her wolf, Stella, now tired enough to not make her go crazy for the rest of the day. She trotted slowly back to the house when a few kilometres off the packhouse a sent hir her wolf nose, she knew something was wrong, terribly wrong. Immediately she let Stella take over her body as she sprinted back to the house at full speed. A stench of blood wafted through the air as the entire pack lay on the ground, lifeless, glassy eyes staring blankly up towards the sky, but would never be able to see again. A sorrow-filled howl flew out of her mouth as tears started streaming down her face. 'I should have been here.' Kyia mentally scolded herself, 'And now look at what happened.' Stella let out a pain-filled whimper as they stepped forward trying to identify the bodies that lay on the ground, but as soon as she crossed the line between the forest edge and the pack training grounds a sharp prick hit her neck, her eyes blurring before she fell into the sweet state of unconsciousness. The last thing that ran through her head was the words her mum always said.
"You can be anything you want, the strongest of the strong, the strangest of the strange, the most beautiful of the beautiful, the most fearsome of the fearsome, but never try to be anyone else but you as that is where you are strongest, where you are the most beautiful. Don't ever give up in the things that you believe in, that you think is right and true."
