Chapter five

Clarlyn Slipping my clothes back on, I walked towards my eight door garage. It had two levels that held my eighteen classic cars and trucks that I had accumulated for the past hundred years. I would rebuild them, and fix them as the technology got more advanced. It took my mind off of the pain. Staring at my collection I was taken back to the past... ninety-nine years ago I was laying in my bed beneath the covers. Tears pouring down my already stained cheeks. My heart ached feeling heavy in my chest. I wanted them back; if I couldn't have them back, I wanted to burn down the entire world to get my vengeance. My emotions were taking a toll on me; mind, body, and soul. I can barely deal with them anymore. I was starting to hate being inside my own body and my mind. I wanted to rip my skin off. I could no longer get somewhat comfortable I was tossing and turning. For the past two weeks all I could hear was loud hammers. People were building something close by. I had half the mind to go out on my balcony to scream at them to shut up. A knock came to the door; I could smell the Soup seeping through the cracks in the door. I laid there ignoring the door. "Clarlyn, open the door or I will," My father yelled on the other side. "I'm not hungry!" I yelled back. "Clarlyn, you havent eaten in days and you know what happens when we don't eat." My father's voice sounded strained. I noticed I was slightly hungry scince I smelled the soup. I guess the pain in my heart was causing the hunger pain to go away. When I got out of bed my black night gown pooled around my feet. The silk fabric felt nice against my skin. I walked to the door to allow my father to walk in. Once he stepped foot into my room I made my way back to bed. My father slowly followed my pursuit. When I got comfortable my father sat a wooded tray on my legs. I grabbed the spoon; placing it in the bowl. My father sat on the end of the bed watching me play with the soup. "what are you doing?" I asked him. "Making sure you eat." I looked at the soup; it had all types of different meat. I forced my first first mouth full into my mouth. Once that first bite hit my stomach my hunger came at my full throttle. I started shoveling food into my mouth as fast as I could. When I was done my father had a sweet smile on his face. "I have a surprise for you; but I need you to put on some clothing that you don't mind getting dirty." He said as he grabbed the tray from my hands and taking it to set outside my door on the floor. Luckily I had gotten some maids to fix some men's clothing so they would fit my body. I went into my closet and grabbed a white work shirt and a pair of trousers. I also slipped on a pair of work boots. The boots were supposed to be for men unfortunately women in this day in age didn't get to work. I clipped my very long black hair to keep it out of my face. Then I followed my father down the stairs, right outside where the noice was coming from. It was my first time seeing a garage in person. Father looked back to see my face which has a very small smile. A warmer smile appeared on his face. "Come look inside," he ushered me through the side door. There awaiting for me was a 1902 Cadillac that looked like it was hit by an elephant. "I want you to to fix it; I have gotten you all the tools you may need." I looked around, there was a wall full of tools. In the back corner there was a bunch of car parts. A few books laying on the work table for me to read and learn. "Why did you get all of this," I asked quietly, slowly turning around looking at everything. "I no longer want you hiding in your room it has been a year... it's time." Present time Looking at my now navy blue 1902 Cadillac made me smile. I dont know where I would be without it. Probably still locked up in my room slowly dieing and plotting my revenge. I do sometimes feel pain; but the most common emotion I feel all the time is anger. The door behind me opened. James scent of old leather books hit my nose. His sent was always so comforting to me. "Well you look bloody," James chuckled. His laugh brought me back out of my mind. "Oh right, that's that's what I was doing." I walked over to the sink that we had installed a while back. Looking in the mirror; I had blood splattered all over my face, arms, and legs. I wetted a wash cloth, and started to scrub my body. "It didn't take you long with your hunt." "I had found a bear really close by," I looked at him, as I was getting the last bit of blood off of me. "That's good..." he trailed off looking conflicted. I saw him shaking his head a bit before continuing. "Are you wanting Sky to drive one of your cars to the airport?" He asked. "That's up to her; does she want to drive with her mate?" I asked, ignoring the the guilty look on his face. "Well I think Paden wants her to go with him. You know how he is with her going off of packs lands." Paden has gotten a little paranoid with her. Though I cant blame him since he had seen my misfortune. "How many can we fit on the plain?" I asked; wanting to get as many cars I can on the plain. "Only six; but we can always get them to take trips. Just bring your three favorite. A moving vehicle has already taken the six spot," James suggested. "Fine. Get someone to drive my 1932 Ford Coupe, and get someone to hull my 1968 Dart." I pointed at all the cars I wanted. "Clara, the Dart is going to take up a lot of space with all the parts..." "I dont care; do it!" I commanded as I stormed out. James I went around to grab my truck to hitch up the only trailor I had. The trailor could fit two cars on it. I'm hoping that it will fit the plain. Here's to hoping. I started placing all the car parts in the back and all the tools that I could fit. "Yo, James! What's cracking lacking?" Paden yelled; while he twirled Sky in his arms. I do kinda see why Clara gets annoyed with them; but I will never tell her that. "I need your help lifting this car on to the trailor. Oh and if somthing breaks it's all your fault." Smirked at him; but was quickly whipped of my face once he said, "Whatever! Your just putting that s**t on me so she will keep liking you." Paden rolled his eyes. We walked towards the car; Paden walked to the back, and I grabbed the front. " Come on James, lift with your knees not your back." He laughed, "Do you ever shut up?" I asked. "Only when I'm doing naughty things to my mate." he chuckled to himself. In the corner of my eye I could see Sky have a light blush on her cheek. "Darling, not even then you don't," she spoke up. When I first met Sky she was a very timid girl; but through the years she became more out-spoken. I guess being Paden's mate you kind of have to be. "Where is Clara?" she asked, "I'm assuming she is in her special spot." I told her while we placed the car on the trailor. "Getting her last goodbye I guess." Sky had tears about to be unleashed from her eyes. It was hard on all of us. This has been our home for more than a hundred years. It must be harder on Clara, she has to say goodbye to all her good memories and say hello to all her bad ones. "We should make her a new spot, on the knew land." Paden lowered his voice making sure if anyone was close by couldn't hear him. Paden wasn't really a bad guy, he just doesn't use his head sometimes. He had used his other head a lot more before he met Sky. "I'll keep that in mind." I told him as I strapped the car down so it wouldn't move. Thinking back to when Loki was around I do belive he made her something when she moved there. "James, do you something we dont?" Paden asked, watching my every move. "You have been acting strange," he added. I wanted to tell him but the Alpha command was weighing down on me. I tried to open my mouth but the command wouldn't allow me. I couldn't even speak my first word! Sky stepped forward, "Paden, don't push! It's the Alpha command." Sky warned him, "Ah, sorry man, I can play the guessing game." Paden said looking like a dog with a bone. I shrugged, not really caring what he did. I wanted Clara to know; so she wasn't completely blindsided. "Awesome," he clapped his hands together rubbing them together. "So is it about Clara?" he asked. I looked at him in response. Paden started to pace back and forth with his finger on his chin. His thinking walk always made me laugh. Then he stopped, "oh! is it about the vision?" I agian looked back at him in response. Well the man wasn't just a pretty face. "Damn man, too bad you can't say what about," Paden looked irataded. He wasn't as irataded as me tho; I was pissed. Paden was her Maketes but I am her right hand man. "Should we tell her?" Sky asked. Paden walked towards her; wrapping his arms around her. "Baby, there is not much to say, only James has all the information." Paden poked her nose with his. "True," she looked down at her feet with a frown. "Well, I think we are all ready to go." I told them. "I'll go get the Alpha to see if he wants to drive Clara's other car to the airport." I started to head towards the the house. "I'll go look for Clara, and you go start my car," Paden whispered to to Sky. My hearing was quite good I could hear them from all the way to the door. Clarlyn I had my feet dangling in the nice warm water, the sound of the water fall calmed my racing mind. I was sitting in one of many rocks that surrounded the pond. My father had made it for my mother as a mating gift. Of course it was back before technology so it was a lot of digging to get water from the river to get here. When I was old enough she had brought me here. I could still hear her voice through the light wind... "I have brought you here because I want this this place to be yours. When you become older you are going to have to make some tough decisions. We both know a life of an Alpha is not a easy one. I want this place to be the peace before the storm for you. I have seen the burdens that will lie before you. One day I won't be here; I will always be here inside your heart and in this place. Please know that I will always love you." The whisper in the air... "Thank you," I whispered back to the wind. I could hear foot steps crunching sticks as they were approaching. The smell of Paden's calone wafted through the trees. He always smelled like a playboy; his natural small smelt like pine trees. "We better get going, the plane is going to take off soon." He spoke calmly while standing behind me. "Yeah, I just wanted to say goodbye," I watched my feet as I moved them through the water. A small tear drop fell from my eye into the water. "I know," his voice cracked as he reached his hand out to me. He pulled me back onto my feet. My heart clenched in my chest. I didn't want to say goodbye; but I had a plan and I couldn't stay here if I wanted to see it through.
