Chapter 12

1140 Words
Ceelin My head hurt and I felt dizzy after I regained consciousness. I immediately remembered the last thing that happened before I lost consciousness. I was lured to that old building by my classmate and was locked inside our professor's former office in the old building. I don't have anything against Miles, my classmate who lured me to go to the old building. We knew each other but we weren't close. And I can only count on my fingers how many times we talked. I'm sure there was someone else behind him who asked him to do it. Despite feeling weak, I forced myself to stand up and tried to open the closed door. But something was blocking the door, so no matter what I did, I couldn't push the door open. I screamed and asked for help. Hoping that someone would hear my voice. But my voice was already hoarse still no one could hear me. I remembered my cell phone. I took it from my pocket to call Yves and ask for help. "Hello, Ceelin. Why didn't you come to our subjects? Where are you?" Yves immediately asked when she answered my call. "Help me, Yves. I was locked up inside Prof Hudson's old office. I can't open the door," I told her in a weak voice. Unfortunately, my cell phone suddenly died while I was talking to her. Luckily, I mentioned where I was. When I checked my cell phone, it was lowbat. I slowly walked towards the chair but suddenly fell to the floor before I could even reach it. My vision was getting blurry again. Maybe because of the blood flowing from the wound on my head. A few minutes after I called Yves, the door suddenly opened. I expected to see Yves' face but instead I saw Phil's face. He immediately approached me and hugged me tightly. "You're safe now, Ceelin," I heard Phil say before I lost consciousness again. When I woke up, I was already inside the hospital. Phil was next to me and holding one of my hands and kissing it lightly. "Phil," I called him. He immediately called the doctor when he saw I was awake. "How is she, Ervic? Does she have a serious head injury?" Phil asked the doctor worriedly after examining me. "Don't worry, Phil. Your wife's CT Scan is fine. She can be discharged tomorrow," the handsome doctor replied. Phil nodded as if he was relieved after hearing the doctor's words. "If you need anything, just call me. I still have patients to take care of," the doctor said before leaving the room. "Do you know that doctor personally?" I asked Phil after the doctor left. "Yes. He's my cousin. Doctor Ervic Salvatore," he replied. Now I know why Doctor Ervic is handsome. Because he's a Salvatore. The Salvatores are handsome and beautiful. "How did you know what happened to me? Did my friend call you?" "No. I came to pick you up. Your friend saw me and told me what happened to you." His face suddenly darkened and he clenched his fists tightly, then he called his assistant. "Larry! Bring them inside." A few moments later, Miles and my sister were inside the room along with her three friends. Their hands were tied behind their backs. Yves also entered the room and immediately came over to me and pressed my hand. "They are the people who are locked in that old building, Madam," Larry informed me. He addressed me "Madam" and I haven't told him not to call me that name. He kicked the back of Miles' knee to kneel in front of me. Phil's bodyguards who were holding the four women did the same. They all knelt in front of me. "What do you want to do with them? They are at your mercy," Phil asked me after helping me sit up on the bed. "You can't punish me, Ceelin. I am your sister. Our parents will never forgive you if you hurt me," Lucy warned. Even if he was in a disadvantaged situation, the arrogance in her voice still didn't disappear. "Forgive me, Ceelin. Lucy only paid me to take you to the old building. I wasn't the one who pushed you and locked you in that room but her friends," Miles said, washing his hands. He was afraid of what I might do to him. Lucy's friends also apologized to me and confessed that they were only following Lucy's orders. I couldn't avoid being ridiculed. If Phil wasn't there, they certainly wouldn't be afraid and apologize to me. They know Phil Salvatore and they know how powerful and ruthless he is. "It's your fault, Lucy. You didn't tell us that Ceelin is the wife of the richest man in our country. You lied to us. You said that she climbed into an old man's bed," one of Lucy's friends accused her. My sister's other friends agreed. Well, they're definitely not friends anymore starting today. "You were brave earlier but now you're cowards. I don't have friends like you! You're not the only ones willing to be friends with me. All of you are useless!" Lucy snapped at her friends. "Enough!" Phil stopped them from talking. "You're not here in front of me to blame each other. All of you couldn't escape from my punishment. You're messing with the wrong woman." "I dare you to punish me, Ceelin. Let's see if Mommy and Daddy don't get mad at you," Lucy said to me, full of confidence and arrogance. She probably thought I couldn't punish her because I was afraid of our parents. "Do you think I'm still afraid of your parents, Lucy? Maybe you're forgetting that I've cut off any ties I have with your family. I'm no longer part of your family," I replied to Lucy in a calm voice. I didn't need to be high-blooded with her. I'm no longer afraid of my parents so I can do whatever I want to them. "I want to lock them up the whole night in the same building where they locked me," I told Phil. That punishment is light for them. But if they scheme against me again, that's not the only punishment they will receive. "Lock them inside that old building until tomorrow. Also give their families a warning. If they do this to my wife again, expect them to disappear from our country," Phil ordered Larry firmly. "Yes, Sir," Larry quickly replied and followed Phil's instructions. "You're so lucky with your husband, Ceelin. He's not only handsome and rich but also powerful and capable," Yves whispered enviously to me. I just smiled at Yves and didn't comment. Phil is now protective of me in this life. I don't know if his treatment of me will change as the days go by.
