I stare at the wall beside us. The sirens. They were not allies of Calfai, because the were once a part of Calfai. They are devious creatures, always finding ways to obscure the lines of justice. They were known for their horrible mannerisms and for doing the unthinkable. This is exactly why my father blood bounded himself to their queen in exchange for my protection. Sirens were the last threat we needed to worry about, but protecting me means keeping me prisoner. Hunters' eyes burn into the side of my face, and without looking I can feel his dismay about my reaction. I take a deep breath and turn my gaze onto him. "Where is she?" I ask bluntly.
