Chapter 2

304 Words
I saved up all the money I had gotten from the paper route my mom insisted on me having, but sadly it was very little. I was going to need to get a scholarship, I knew my parents couldn’t afford to help me; Law school can be very expensive. So I had to keep my grades up which meant studying, which didn’t leave me much time for anything outside of school or football. You can probably guess I never had a girlfriend in school, didn’t have time, plus the girls in my school vain and didn’t care about anything other than themselves. Finally school was over and I graduated with honors, got a full scholarship to Yale which wasn’t my first choice but they still had a great law program. I decided to work all summer saving up as much more as I could before I left; thankfully my old summer job at the local pizza place was still available. I will remember that day for the rest of my life; it was the last day I was going to be at the pizza place before I moved. It started out like any other day at the pizza place, cliche I know but this is my story so I can be cliche if I want. Anyway, it started out like any other day, prep the sauce grate the cheese make sure the containers are full. I was in the back washing dishes when my manager Bill called me to the front for an order, I started making the pizza. I was rolling the dough when I noticed a woman standing on the other side of the counter, she smiled at me and said hello. I stirred the sauce and took a spoonful, when I dumped it onto the dough I noticed something was different.
