True to his words, his penthouse is big enough to accommodate the whole building's personnel. I was busy orginizing my things when I saw my parents picture on my luggage.
Suddenly I'm covered with grieve and agony again. A tear fell from my eyes when I embrace the frame tighter as if I will feel their warmth again by doing that.
"I miss you both, and I know I will miss you for the rest of my life.." I wiped my tears and continue to fix my clothes inside the big closet when my phone rang.
"is the news true?! Are you here in the Philippines?!" I rolled my eyes when I heard my bestfriend's voice.
Alam ko na agad na mahabang paliwanagan ang mangyayari knowing my bestfriend.
"yes, I was going to tell--"
"and you didn't bother to tell me that you're here! I was so lonely when I found out that you went back to US without telling me and to be honest I was hurt and still hurting because my bestfri--"
"okay enough Wheng I get it! When do you want us to meet?" she became quiet when I cut her words.
"ahm.. On weekends.." she cleared her throat and sighed.
Napakamot nalang ako sa noo ko at inisip kung may gagawin ba ako sa Sabado.
"I'm sorry for freaking out, I am just so worried about you.." she said in a low tone.
"that's understandable because you're my bestfriend.." I replied.
Mahirap na kasing patulan ang tampo ng isang to dahil baka bigla nalang sumugod sa mansion at malamang wala ako dun at hindi na ako dun nakatira siguradong mas lalong mahabang paliwanagan pa.
We talked a lot about her busy schedules and those times when I am not around. We didn't notice that it's already late and surprised when a mother clock from Reed's living room made a sound.
"what was that?" Wheng asked.
"i-it's nothing, I guess we need to continue our conversation some other time, it's getting late.."I said.
"oh gosh! You're right! See you on weekends then! Goodnight!" she sound so excited for the coming weekends.
"yah, night.." I bid goodnight and fell asleep in Reed's room.
He said that I will use his room I don't want to but he insist because it's a bachelors pad so it has only one room.
Even I'm lack of sleep I woke up early the next day. Confidently I walked inside the Samaniego’s building with grace, I notice some employees darted their eyes on me. I mocked silently when I saw their reactions. My family is doomed and I’m on Samaniego’s mercy but I still want them to see who I am and where I came from. Wearing a fitted above the knee cream skirt just enough to see my long legs I partnered it with a black hanging sleeveless the crowd fell into silence when I went out on the elevator and reached the right floor. My stilettos are making noise as I walked at the directors floor.
I saw how guys at my age even older than me trace my body with desire, I smirked.

"where's Reed Samaniego's office?" I asked on some staff.
She didn't speak but she pointed the glass door with blinds at the right corridor.
"thanks.." I smiled at her before I walk towards Reed's office.
Without hesitation I opened the door and saw him reading some papers. His eyes narrowed down at me and I saw how he hates my fashion.
"what are you wearing? This ain't party little girl.." my face heated on his insult.
"stop checking me out and just tell me what to do here.." I said with bored tone.
Naupo ako sa mahabang sofa I crossed my legs bago ako bumaling pabalik kay Reed.
Nakita ko ang pagdilim ng mukha nito habang nakatingin sa exposed legs ko. Napataas ang kilay ko sa reaction niyang yun.
He looked at his wrist watch then shook his head.
"you're late, you are my employee and office starts at 8am not 9am." he said using his serious tone.
"well, I'm the owner of--"
"this is SRL not SCI and don't give me that excuse! I am the boss here you should follow rules and change that attitude of yours I am working early even I am the owner of this company to set examples and prove them that if I can do it they can too!" I was cornered and I feel so little in his words.
Hindi agad ako nakahuma ng sasabihin dahil ayoko mang aminin ay tama ito.
"have some decency next time and wear something appropriate." he said before leaving me in his office.
I felt like my energy drained on his insults but I know that I've been mean too. He went back with some lady with her sexy dress. My brows automatically went up as he gave instructions with the lady in red.
"Thea pass all your works to her and endorse so she can continue where you left off."pagbibigay nito ng mga gagawin sa babae.
I stop myself from bursting to laugh when I remember some songs.
Lady in red she's dancing with me.
I saw Reed's brows furrowed when he saw my reaction while looking at his secretary.
The lady look at my way and raise her one brows.
Aba! Tinataasan ako ng kilay ng babaeng ito? How could she!
So an idea popped into my pretty mind.
"I don't think your secretary knows me.."my word got Reed's attention.
"hi I'm Alissandra Leigh Ty and I'm - -"
"she will be my secretary.." I gasp when I heard Reed's words.
Feeling embarrassed I face him.
"no I'm not!" I hissed but he just gave me a warning look.
"thank you Thea for doing some errands for me, you can go back to your original post now.."I saw the refusal on the lady's face.
I bet she doesn't want to go back to her work because she likes to be with you. I said on my thoughts.
"i-it's fine sir I am your employee and I will do everything you've asked me.." she blushed when she answered him.
Iba yata ang dating sa akin ng mga sinabi nito.
"oh God help me!" they both looked at me because on what I said.
"can't you see Reed your breaking her heart.." I smile widely when I heard her gasp beside me.
"Ms. Ty--"
"it's okay, you two can continue on talking I'll just sit here then and get some popcorn coz you guys are so entertaining.." I know I sounded sarcastic but that's my point in the first place.
They said their goodbyes with each other as if they won't see each other again! For godsake they work on the same company! His company to be exact!
Parang ang o.a naman yata diba?!
When the lady in red gone Reed face me with his serious look.
"what?!" I looked at him innocently.
"you embarrassed the poor employee--"
"I didn't! I just cut you two because I'm about to cry with your goodbyes.." I snapped.
A ghost of smile seen in his lips.
"if I didn't know you I will think that you're just jealous.." he gave a teasing look.
My eyes widen because of what he said.
"dream on!" I uttered before I went outside his office.
