CHAPTER 2

Luckily the Samaniego and their families are busy on that party. We went home later than we expected but I guess it doesn't matter to my parents as long as they are socializing.

After that incident about the bachelor Samaniego nothing important happened. Just doing my routine I jog and do the yoga to calm my inner self.

"inner peace.." I mimicked the kung fu panda's words while meditating.

"I'm still confused what made you stress that you need to meditate." I glance at my back and saw my friend Wheng Ramos. I gave her a mind-your-own-business look and she just laughed at me.

"I know you so well Aly come on spill it!" she sit down and look at me as if waiting for my story. 

Napahinto ako nang maupo ito sa harapan ko. She really look interested kung may kwento man ako.

"nothing, I just need to maintain my stress free life especially now that I will be taking my masteral and soon to graduate." I answered using my calm tone so she won't suspect me for something and besides I don't wanna explain so I think this is better.

"I guess you're right, my mom is so irritating! She wants me to play some part on dealing with the Lastimosa's new project with our company!" She looked hell and that made me laugh.

"I think you need some meditation.." I teased.

She rolled her eyes at me and gave me dagger looks.

"just kidding, so how's auntie?" I asked.

"she's fine I think.." she snorted.

I grinned at her before I went inside our house to get some drinks. She followed me and looked at me intently.

"what's with that look?" I asked without looking at her.

"I heard that Ian is coming home.." my water spilled because of her words.

"do you still like my brother?" she asked.

"I think I'm okay now, besides I'm just 16 when we broke up.." I said flatly.

"but you're just 19.." she commented.

She seems to be weighing my feelings by the look in her face.

"I'm turning 20.." I answered.

"good.." she nodded as if reassuring herself that everything will be okay.

"why is he coming home anyway?" I tilted my head and looked at her.

"he's getting married.." I was shocked. I can't even utter a word and I know that Wheng noticed that.

"I just told you so you weren't that shock when you see him or hear the news.." she shrugged her shoulders while I'm still silent on hearing it from her.

The news about Christian Ramos and Lea Saldiga's marriage are the talk of the town. Meanwhile my best friend who happens to be my ex's sister is busy on her training on their company because she knows that his brother won't be available because of the wedding.

"I am so worn out!" she exclaimed while waiting for our food.

I took the chance to have dinner with her so we can bond even on her busy schedule.

"you're graduating this coming month right?" she asked.

"yes.." I answered.

Mas matanda kasi ito sa akin ng dalawang taon. She's my senior sa club noon sa newspapers club namin.

"can you help me then with our company? You know mom is busy with her antiques and—"

"and I have my own company to look for.." I added.

She fell silent.

"but your parents are still working so the pressure to work is not an issue for you.." she reasoned.

"yes, but I am the only daughter I need to know and learn all of the systems and strategies alone.." she look defeated on my words.

"fine.." she sadly said.

I smiled at her and caressed her hands to assure her that even if I'm busy with my own life she still can ask help from me.

"I will send you my secretary when you are getting tired of all of it." Her eyes widen and her lips purse into smile.

"oh how I love you!" she shrieked that made me laugh.

On the contrary everything run smoothly as expected. I graduated with latin honors and years passed, right now I am on my last month of my masteral in US when a sudden call changes my life.

"I'm really sorry and condolence.." my mind is blank and I can't think of any good words because I am grieving.

Our attorney bid his goodbye after saying his condolences to me. I was shocked and hurt when I heard the news.

"best.." I looked up and found Wheng's sad face.

"I know it's hard, I've lost dad and that hurt me more than I imagined, but you've lost both of your parents, it will be harder for you now, but I want you to know that I am here and I will be here if you need me to." I just looked at her without saying anything and that made her cry even more.

"please say something, eat and don't push yourself too much.." she's crying while saying those things to me but I can't feel anything.

Walang pumunta na kamag anak ni dad o ni mom. Naalala ko pa noon nung buhay pa sila at may silbi, halos laging puno ng tao ang mansion namin dahil sa pagdalaw nila at pagbabakasyon.

I suddenly found myself alone and hurt.

My parents car crashed, my father declared death on the spot while my mom fought in two days at the hospital but she didn't make it. The doctor said that her body is too weak and the patient is not responding anymore. It hurts me more because I was left alone.

After 3 days of mourning I send my parents to our family's museleo.

"we need to talk about the last will.." attorney said.

"can it wait? I still need to go back to US and finish my masteral.." I said, getting annoyed.

Hindi man lang hayaang makapagbabang luksa muna ako para sa mga last will na yan!

"I'm sorry Ms. Ty but this issue can't wait.." my brows furrowed on what he said.

"what do you mean?" he look nervous when he saw my serious face.

"your parents want you to handle the company at the age of 25." He cleared his throat while waiting for my reaction.

"and so? Who's gonna be the officer in charge if it wasn't me?" confused, I looked at him.

May representative ba muna habang wala pa ako sa edad na 25?

"the Ty company will be manage by the Samaniego in the mean time.."

"what?!" I rose from my seat when I heard what he said.

"are you kidding me?! Is this even legal?! We both know that they are our competitors so why would my parents want that?" I hissed.

"please calm down—"

"how can I calm down?! I'm turning 23 and I still have 2 years to wait! Can you hear yourself?! You want me to calm down and let those Samaniego manage what my parents built?!" I am fuming mad with this will.

"I'm deeply sorry Ms. Ty but it is legal and signed with both parties, I will send you your copy and the last will's original form so you can decide on what to do.." I didn't say anything.

I'm still mad knowing about the will and the deal about the Samaniego and my parents. How come I end up under the Samaniego's care?

On the next day I made sure that I look sophisticated and high maintenance as I walk inside the Samaniego's building. I read the will my attorney sent me and I searched for the signature of the Samaniego and found out that Charles Samaniego signed it. I went to their VIP elevator.

"excuse me ma'am but this elevator are used for SRL directors and owners." I raise my brows when I heard the elevator girl.

"don't you know me?" The girl shook her head and now smirking at me.

Now I'm really pissed.

"fine, then tell your boss that Allisandra Leigh Ty the owner of Steel and Cements Industry short for SCI is here because a certain elevator girl didn't let her to come in.." I saw her eyes widen and she starts to push the button at 42nd floor.

I smirked at her before I went out of the elevator when we reached the right floor.

"good morning ma'am did you have an appointment?" I rolled my eyes when another girl block my way.

"I don't need appointments, is Charles Samaniego there?" I heard her gasped because I just casually called her boss name without any respect.

"I'm sorry but you can't go inside—"

"says who? You?" the lady in front of me just look at me and can't even speak.

I was about to push her so I can come in when the door opened.

"stop torturing my employees Ms. Ty.." he nods to her secretary.

"come inside.." I confidently went inside but I stopped in the middle of the room when I saw someone sitting on the long sofa.

Sumulyap lang ito sandali pagtapos ay muling bumaling sa laptop nito as if I'm not that worthy of his time he didn't even bother to greet me.

The jerk is here.

"nice to see you again." I face Charles when he lend his hand to me for a hand shake.

I didn't bother to do that though.

I heard him sighed.

"I heard from attorney Suarez that you went hysterical when you heard about the will of your parents.." I snapped on what he said.

"do we need to talk about it when someone is around?" I glared at him.

"my son is involve so I think he needs to hear it.." he said.

Wait what? Involve? That p*****t Samaniego has a say in my matters? That's a f*****g no no!

"as you can see Ms. Ty we have this finished deal about SCI and SRL working together. Your parents sell some of your properties to us.." he calmly said.

"w-what?" confused and could not believe it I look at the old man in front of me.

"you heard it right, the SCI shareholders or what you called directors of your company sell their shares to me." My lips parted when I realize where this is leading.

"I personally don't want to do anything about you and your company but my son saw potential on your company and bought it. Your parents tried to negotiate from him to me but I refused, now he's one of the stockholder of your company but I am really surprised to know about their last will, it seems like my son did something good to them to end up making that will, I signed those papers out of respect with my business competitor though for me it's just a piece of paper but I never knew even in my wildest dream that it will leave us responsible for you." I was silent for a moment.

"don't worry Ms. Ty the company is still in your name and you have the biggest share so there's no need to be disappoint for now. I think after your Masteral in US you can come home and learn about your company, don't worry my son will guide you." Hearing those comforting words made me shiver.

I glance where his son is sitting and I don't know if it's my intuition but I know and I can feel that this is not a good thing.

Reed Alfonso Samaniego with his bored look and grim face I can surely tell that this is not going to be easy.
