It's been six days since she noticed the strange car, and it's been six days since she saw the same car following her every move. Fear made her jumpy these days; her senses were always on alert, and of course she knew the car was behind her cab right now.
She'd gotten a call from Kate's place of work, asking her to bring children over there, so she'd taken her son along with her.
“Can you drive a bit faster?” She asked, hoping he'd listen, but of course not. He kept on driving at his own pace. She couldn't fault him because if he defaulted on the traffic regulations, he'd be sued, and it costs a lot of money to be free of these things.
Suddenly,he changed lanes, taking her down a lonely road as her heartbeat increased.
“Mr? Mr? What are you doing?”
He turned to stare at her with bloodshot eyes, retrieving a gun from under his seat.
“Now you'll sit quietly, without any sounds, and I'll get these kids out of here; it's your life right now; it's in your hands. Any little mistake from you and they'll be blown up.” He said it angrily, stopping the cab and coming down.
He brought the children out of the car, placed the four of them into the strange black car, and stood as the driver zoomed off. “As for you,” he said, hitting the back of her head with the gun and watching as she fell to the ground in a heap.
“That was damn easy.” He whispered, pulling her into the car and zooming off. ”

“He transferred four children to me.”
“What do you mean? They're just three, not four. Who's the fourth child?” He asked, smoking from his pipe as his blood boiled in anger. Over the years, he'd only come up with incompetent guys, and it was getting on his nerves.
“Manuel is his name, the son of that nosy class teacher.” He replied as the huge guy chuckled.
“Do not worry; make the children comfortable and take good care of them. I'll be using this nosy teacher to get to Kate, and I know it'll work just fine.”
“What do you mean?”
“Since y'all know this so-called teacher, I want you to meet with her on our terms and conditions. Tell her to make sure Kate comes to me for help because I'm the most powerful private investigator. Just come up with something. Kate must run to us for help.
“I'll do that right away.”

People scrunched their noses as they passed the corpse of the deceased man. “What's going on there?” Jeff asked as he walked the hallway of the huge building with Theresa. These past few days have been the best for her because she got to see him in a new light. He spent almost the whole day with her, talking to her and learning about her way of life. Something he'd never done since they were arranged as mates.
“It's something that has been happening—strange deaths everywhere—and it's a creature much worse than a blood sucker, probably a beast.” She replied, smiling within her as she stared at the man she'd willingly killed for fun, and she was so glad she had the ability to lock her thoughts.
“You know my father is on a quest to find who the culprit is, but I don't think it'd be easy. I mean, this creature is so good it doesn't leave a trail behind.”
“I'll talk to your father; we'll need a traditional werewolf to do this job, and I know the perfect person.” Her heartbeat increased as she felt uneasy.
“You're willing to help us?” She asked, faking her smile.
“Yeah, anything for you.” He whispered, looking into her eyes, as she smiled.

“I didn't place a call to the school; how many times do I have to clarify myself before you believe me?” Kate asked, tears rolling down her cheeks.
When Mrs. Annie woke up on her porch, her heart sank low with one thing in mind: the children.
“I got a call from GR Holdings concerning the children. I was asked to bring them there because she'd be arriving late and she had a meeting. I never knew it was a set-up. I'm sorry.” Mrs. Annie said, tears streaming down her cheeks as Kate combed her hair with her hands.
Mr. Sam arrived some minutes later, and he immediately took her into his arms as they awaited the police reports.
“Dad, what am I going to do? Tell me!” She screamed, tears washing her make-up away as her nose leaked. “They're my everything; they're mine.” She whispered as the door opened.
“No traces, ma'am; we'll have to wait for their call.” The investigator said this as Kate fell to the ground.
“That's not true. There should be a trace, something to track them, you liars. Look for my children. Look for them!”
“Come on, Kate, don't do this; let's get out of here and talk over coffee. Your children will be back, I promise.” Mr. Sam said, leading her out of the office.

“Did you talk to her? Did you inform her of the private investigator? Remember, your son is with us, and we can kill him with the twinkle of an eye.”
“I told her, I told her, and she said she'd think about it.” Mrs. Annie said, shaking as she held the phone to her ear.
“It means you're not doing enough.” She heard him c**k the gun, and her heart skipped.
“Tell her about this investigator; convince her; you have just twelve hours to do that, or your son will be nowhere to be found.”
The line went dead as she gasped and held her chest. “My__my son She mumbled, picking up her bag and zooming out of her house.
As she waved a cab down, she got in and gave the driver Kate's address.
“I'm really sorry, but I have to do this to save my son. He wasn't supposed to be involved; my son wasn't,” she mumbled, tears raining down her cheeks.

“I cannot put a stop to this meeting, dad; he's the only one that can help me and come to my aid.” Kate said it angrily, picking up her bag and walking to the door.
“So what are you going to tell him? Hey buddy, I kept your kids away from you, and now they're in trouble. I need your help, and you think it works that way?” Mr. Sam was fired.
“It doesn't, right? But I have to try. I'll meet with Jeff, and if he refuses to help, I'll do it on my own.” She stormed out of the house, got into his car, and drove off.
“Damn!” Mr. Sam muttered. Just then, Mrs. Annie's cab arrived, and she sprinted out.
“Is Kate in?” She asked, but Mr. Sam shook his head.
“She just left; she's going to get those kidnappers angry. I tell you she's headed to Brooks Lane; you can meet up with her.” As Mrs. Annie rushed back to the cab,it made him wonder what she needed that much to cause the rush.
