Elijah and I were eating lunch when the alert came through. A large group of werewolves had been spotted heading towards our border and I knew right away that this must be the diversion that Aruther had set up for me. I had hoped that we would have more time together before this happened. Sensing my apprehension, Elijah wrapped his arms around me. He whispered a few words of reassurance before letting me go and heading out to play his part in our plan. I waited in the kitchen for a couple of minutes, downing what was left of my coffee and taking a couple more bites out of my bagel. I didn’t really have a role in our plan but I was worried that Arthur would try to find me. I couldn’t let that happen, it would ruin our whole plan. Arthur would know that I had no intention of coming to me
