I drummed my fingers against the steering wheel, my jaw clenched tight. Having known Elina Rivers for over three moon cycles, I understood her omega temperament perfectly. She must have blocked our dormant mate bond completely.
I didn't try to reach her again. There was no point.
Recalling Elina's dejected appearance tonight, the way her usually bright eyes had dimmed when I'd finally given her the information about Victor, I frowned. My alpha wolf grew restless within me, pacing and snarling at the memory.
My grip on the steering wheel tightened until my knuckles turned white with suppressed rage. The leather creaked under the pressure.
She had thrown away my ceremonial pack jacket. Tossed it in the trash like it meant nothing.
