chapter nineteen: meeting with the south, no war? pt1

"here take this charlie, it a square and it goes here." fin said and he gave Charlie a square block. charlie looked at him confused as he pointed to the square hole in his puzzle toy. we were outside in the garden with Charlie in my lap. fin was playing and teaching him things he doesn't understand yet but soon he will. charlie put the square block in the square hole and he giggled as it passed in the hole. 

"good job, thank you fin," i said and fin smiled as he gave Charlie the circle block. he continues to teach charlie about shapes. i move some of charlie's hair off his face. he is now four-month-old and he started to grow hair. his black hair is dark but his eyes are blue and pure like mines. the fin, on the other hand, looks like Leon and has the looks of Leon but he has the personality of his mate, she's the sweetest person i met and she is always down to babysit whenever i go back to work which is soon. the prince wants me to go back to work after Charlie turns five months but he limiting my work that is given. 

"mommy said were living here from now on. it way better and bigger them my old home. it bigger and plus my daddy says I'm going to a better school too. everyone bullies me at my old school since my daddy works for the prince." i frowned hearing this and i put my hand on fin cheek as he had dirt on his cheek. 

"charlie will love you being here and plus he'll see you as a big brother. you see him like a little brother as that what your mommy told me," i say and fin nodded as he pulled out a kid's book and sat next to me. charlie looked at fin who opened to the first page of the book. charlie likes books and so does fin. he a fast learner at least that what Leon says 

"i sure I'll have a brother and sister soon. i overheard them talking about me being lonely and they want another kid for me to play with other then charlie." fin said and i raise my eyebrows as charlie reached for the book in fins hands. i could say anything and before i could say something i heard footsteps behind me. i turned to see the prince and Leon talking as they walk over to me with charlie and fin. "i love to read with charlie too so i can see me being a good big brother. what do you think?" fin asked me and he looked at me. 

"you better teach Charlie good things as you grew up too fin," Leon says and he made it to me and charlie screamed as he saw his daddy the prince. the prince walked up to me and he gently grabbed charlie from my lap and he carried him in his arms. charlie giggled right away and he went to reach for the prince's face. Leon walked up to fin who put the book down and he carried fin in his arms. "time to go inside buddy, it's getting cold and you can read charlie a book inside. you can nap together too if you like." Leon said and fin smiled and hugged Leon by his neck. 

"i want to nap in the prince's room, can i?" fin asked and Leon looked at the prince who smiled and nodded as i got up from the ground. i picked up the puzzle and book that i brought outside. i also grabbed the picnic cloth i put on the ground too putting it on my arm. we all started to walk back to the back garden door to enter back into the mission. 

"the princess will be there with you, I and your daddy will be at a meeting in the meantime so just nap in my room." the prince says and he looked at fin who nuzzled in Leon's neck. the prince walked up to me and he kissed my head. "take care off of them please princess. I'll be back by nine." the prince says and he looked at me smiling. charlie grabbed the prince's tired and started to play with it. 

"i will, i think they're not ready to nap yet but i can read them to sleep.," i say and Leon looked at me as i can see fin dozing off a little. charlie was still playing and he didn't look tired at all. this is going to be a challenge. we made it back to our room and the prince put charlie on the bed. the prince gave charlie a raddle toy that my mom got for him. fin sat next to charlie as he grabbed a different book to read for charlie. the prince and Leon walked out the room waving as i sat at the side of the bed ready to read for charlie and fin. 

the prince had a two-hour meeting and he came back in the room at nine. fin and charlie were sleeping. the prince and i walked in the walk-in closet to talk in peace without waking up the kids. the prince started to change out of his suit and changed into his pj's. 

"so fin and charlie will be your responsibility for the next few days. the prince of the south sent another note and there going to visit us to settle something. there a half-chance this is bad or good like with the deal with the red pack." the prince says and i only can just nod. i guess the Prince of the south really wants to meet the prince in person. the prince was just in his underwear as he went to pick PJ pants.

"i see, so are you doing the meeting here or at the castle. I'm sure your father wants to meet the prince of the south too," i say and the prince put on PJ pants. he was still shirt showing off his muscles. he didn't even pick out a shirt and he walked up to me leaning against the wall and crossing my arms across my chest. 

"yes, we are meeting in the castle if that's what you're asking. my father doesn't want me to meet him alone so he said the castle is the best place. the prince of the south agreed to it luckily." the prince said and he stopped in front of me. he put his arms around my waist and pulled me to his hard chest. "you're going to be fine, I'll have three strong members to stay here to protect you." the prince out his face in my neck and he kissed my neck softly 

"thank you, i heard from Leon that his mate is planning to bring fin and her to her parent's house in case there is war but she wants to visit her parent to see if that okay. she wants to go alone since her parent is like my mom before she accepted that you're my mate," i say and the prince chuckled as he kissed my neck one more time and leaned back to look at me. 

"fin loves you and lives charlie too. you'll enjoy having fun woth them since fin loves to teach." the prince says and he smiled down at me. i smiled back and leaned into the prince's hard chest. "i love how your a natural mother, your perfect in every way. i for sure can let the prince of the south, have you. promise me this, stay in the mission, and don't go out. that includes the garden okay?" the prince said and he leans in putting his forehead on mines. i chuckled and nodded as the prince leans in to kiss me sweetly.

"i promise willaim. i not going anywhere," i say and the prince kissed me one more time before i heard crying. we both jumped and the prince rolled his eyes as he walked out the walk-in closet. i forgot charlie and fin was in the other room sleeping. looks like Charlie woke up from his nap.

(prince alan perspective) 

"so maria ann is turning nineteen in a few months. i heard she was young but fresh after turning eighteen is not what i was expecting," i say surprised as my partner handed me a file with all the information he gathered about maria ann the prince of the north wife. she was beautiful and she looked young which i liked. 

"all the information i got is here and I'm gathering more. there's really no information on their child but all i know is his name is charlie and they had him recently." my partner says and i nodded as i looked through maria ann's information. so she's from the city huh? her father was an alpha in the past too so she knows what works in the packs. 

"alright just try your nest without getting noticed. for now, prep the pack for the walk were going to have tonight," i say and my partner nodded as he walked out my study. i continue to look into the information of maria ann. she left eh city to live in the north fulltime. it also looks like she attended school in the city. i picked up the picture the file came with and i could help but smile. i looked to my left to see the file of the prince of the north Nathaniel Williams. he was the rare type by the looks of it to get a mate at a late stage but looks like he found her. i was planning to meet up with the north in two days which is how long we will have to travel to get to the north from the south. i don't want to start to go to war yet and i want to see what deals the prince of the north can make with me. I'm planning to keep half my pack here just in case if my father agrees to that. i was studying the prince of the north file until my father walked in my study looking red in anger. i expected this and my father is the type to get angry quickly. my mother even says so and she tries not to make my father angry by just doing what he asks for that reason. no fights ever between them for a reason. 

"what did i hear from your partner!? you're not going to attack them and try to make peace with them. you know what they did years ago. they attacked us and peace is not the answer because of that." my father said and he slammed my study door closed. i sighed and i knew he would say that. he was there at the time when the first war started to end. 

"I'm not like you, father. i want to see what I'm working with and then I'll decide if i want war with them. I'm not going to attack for no reason. i know in the past the had a reason at attack at you made the first move. it's not like you, father." i say and my father sighed as he sat down in the seat in front of me. he's not the alpha of the pack anymore. he past the pack to me as now i am the alpha. 

"okay i know we're different but the past is always going to repeat itself. if they attack first then it's your call. I'd say you are the blame. think about it and maybe you'll consider." my father says before he got up from the chair and he walked out my study still angry and i have to admit my father was right about them attacking first being my blame if that happens. i also don't think like my father and the past is the past. i sighed and looked over to the prince if the north file again. i have to study this for sure to see if war is the only way. 

(Prince William's perspective) 

"say papa charlie, say papa," i say and Charlie was looking at me confused. he just giggled as he put a triangle block in his mouth. i was disappointed and the princess removed the block from charlie's hands putting a pacifier in his mouth. i looked over at fin napping on the small couch in our room holding a book made for five-year-old on his chest. he not able to read to that level yet but he is self-teaching himself out of boredom. 

"i don't think he's at that point yet William. soon he will though. i do like his first words to be mama or papa though." the princess says smiling and i nodded as charlie grabbed the triangle block again and looked at his shape puzzle. i seemed as well and i knew charlie was a smart boy too. i am taking a day off work to hang out with charlie before i meet with my father tomorrow about the meeting with the south happening the day after tomorrow. i went to move some hair off charlie's face. charlie tried to put the triangle through the circle hole but and he looked frustrated. i moved charlie's hand to the triangle hole and pointed at it. 

"right here charlie," i say and charlie put the triangle block through the hole. the princess handed him a circle block and he grabbed it to swing it around to look between me and the princess. i chuckled and i pointed to the circle hole as Charlie looked at his puzzle toy. "we can go to the garden after Charlie goes to nap and fin will problem wake up so first but we can teach him how to read." i say and gesturing to the book on fin's chest as i can see charlie now leaning against the princess's stomach sleepy. the princess right away went to put charlie in her arms and she carried him while he was still holding on tot he circle block in his hand. i covered my mouth to not laugh. 

"We can go yeah but i think we should charlie to sleep now. he has been up for too long, it passed his nap time." the princess says and she got off the floor and walked to the bed where the bed was ready for charlie's nap. the princess laid him down with Charlie's eyes closed and he dropped the circle block on the ground. i right away got up from the ground to pick it up and went back to his other toys to clean up and put it away where i won't step on it. it happened before. 

"so what do you want to do while the babies sleep?" i asked and walked up tot he princess who got done with putting charlie to sleep. the princess smiled as i out Charlie's toys and books in the corner where his crib was. we move his crib near the bed since it has wheels and we can lock the wheels. "we can enjoy our time out on the balcony with me. i not letting go out alone but with me it fine." i say and the princess nodded as the princess grabbed my arm. we walked out to the balcony together. Leon just walked in pour room to check on fin and he nodded as he saw us walking to the balcony. he went to the small couch with fin to looked after him and Charlie on the bed.

"We can talk about the meeting in two days. we need to plan put just in case the prince of the south try something." the princess says and i just nodded as we walked to the railing and the princess leaned against it. i leaned against it too next to the princess making sure she doesn't get taking when she's near me or far from me.

"when the south is visiting for one i want you to stay here in the mansion taking care of charlie and fin. Leon will be there including Jordan. I'll have ian and Jerome too here too guarding the outside of the mansion just in case. most of the pack members are going to be spread out the town including ken's pack guarding the outskirts on the north walls. " i say as i had a meeting with ken a few days ago talking about a plan before the meeting. 

"what if the prince wants to meet me? you did tell me he has an interest in me." the princess asked and i knew she would ask that. "i don't know to bring charlie is a good idea, Leon and fin should satay back while his mate was at home. she'll be back the day after the meeting." the Princess says and she looked out at the view from the balcony. i sighed and i thought about this and the only thing i can think of is to just meet with him while staying close to me. 

"if that the case then you need to meet him. I'm sure he wants to meet you and see if war is the only option. i know the south king the prince's father was the one who started the war. he for sure wants war and the prince of the south is different so he was a trail of meeting before deciding of war." i say and the princess nodded looking at me. 

"then it looks like i have to bring Charlie, i just hope he doesn't ask to hold him. even worse a private meeting with me." the prince said and i put my arms around her shoulder pulling her close to me. she hugged my back and i kissed the princess head calming her down. 

"i won't let that happen, i promise you that. if he wants to talk to you personally I'll be there or have someone there with you like with ken," i say and the princess looked up at me and smiled as he buried her face in my chest. i slide and kissed the princess head one more time before hugging her tightly. i have to talk to my father tomorrow before the meeting and see his opinion on this.

(maria ann's perspective) 

"don't cry Charlie, don't cry baby boy," i say and carrying charlie in my arms as charlie cry. i usually would calm down charlie bit sometime i can't. the prince is my saver to that moment but he isn't here right now and at the meeting at the castle with his father. they are having a chat with the south making a deal hopefully. i was worried but i can see charlie's sense his daddy might be in danger. "charlie baby, mommy is here so stop crying, please." i say and charlie called down a little but still crying.

"Are you okay luna?" Leon asked while he walked in the baby room with fin in his arms. fin was holding a toy in his hands. "the alpha told me to check up on you as he can feel your feeling stressed. he told me while in the meeting." Leon said and he put fin down who ran to me and charlie right away stopped crying as fin showed the toy in front of charlie. charlie grabbed for the toy and i put charlie on the foam flooring that we put so he can pay and craw. fin joined him as he gave his toy to charlie who now looks happy. 

"i just worried about William, I'm sure Charlie was the same. he left for the meeting this morning and now its three pm. you know how i feel right now." i say and Leon walked up to me smiling trying to make feel better. he stopped in front of me. 

"i wish i can hug you but i can't unless i want to die. the alpha won't like the fact you smell like me. you smell like him as it is of course." Leon said and i smiled as that would be great to be hugged right now. the prince will kill but because of me, he won't. Leon will be off with a warning first. charlie screamed happy as fin laughed while he was flying a plane in the air. Leon smiled and he went to sit on the floor motoring fin and charlie. i leaned against the wall relaxing. 

"thank you for that, I'm just glad you came in at the right time. so are Jordan and Jerome still at the door? they need a break at one point." i say worried and Leon sighed. they have been there all morning. Leon and Glen are near me on the second floor. they stay near the doors and big windows on the second floor. 

"we switch places after a few hours but yes all of us need a break. right now we just can't take one just in case something happened to you any minute." Leon said and fin gave charlie other toys charlie had in his baby room. fin made sure Charlie didn't move off the foam flooring going far from our view. charlie was still happy and i guess he's happy that fin his best friend is here now. 

"i just cant wait till the prince comes back okay, he came back scratch up after expanding the pack. it worried me a lot. lucky for me it was before Charlie was born." i say and Leon nodded understanding. the prince did say that he was at a meeting with the pack at the time so some of the pack members were there.

"i was there and he was better at fighting. he killed the pack of the alpha pretty easily." Leon said and he looked at me while he moved some of fin's hair iff his face. he was laying down next to charlie o the ground while charlie was crawling with a small doll of a dog in his hands. 

"i wonder what charlie wants to do when he grows up. i just wonder if he wants to be an alpha like the prince or be part of a pack. i also wonder how he'll act as a royal prince in the future." i questioned and Leon shrugged and he gave charlie a small doll of a cat and charlie grabbed it giggling. fin grabbed a small doll of a bear and he started to teach charlie about animals. 

"raise him well and he'll enjoy being a prince though i feel like he'll be a little rebel too from time to time. i can see he's a fast learner so education-wise he's the same as the alpha. the alpha skipped a grade and charlie will be the same. he has your looks as i see he has more of your facial figures then the alpha's." Leon said and i looked at charlie seeing what he means. charlie is chubby which means he's going to be skinny when growing up but if he works put with the prince his father in the future. he will be big but less body fat like me. 

"Charlie is very healthy since the prince put me on a strict diet during my pregnancy," i say and Leon chuckled. charlie started to craw to me with the small doll of dog and cat in his hands. i smiled and went to the ground putting charlie in my lap. charlie looked at me and he giggled as he put his hands together making the small doll of the dog and cat fight in some way. 

"i know and i told the alpha he was going too far with that," Leon said and he smiled as fin went towards him. Leon put fin in his lap and just when Leon was going to say something again the baby room opened forcefully with Jordan with a serious face. 

"the prince would like you at the castle. he says to bring charlie too. Leo can stay with you while we stay here and guard the mansion. he wants you to go there now and meet him now." Jordan says and i looked at Leon as he sighed. here we go.
