Chapter five: red pack

"the red pack made there move sir." kyle said as he walked in prince's study. he had documents in his hands and he looked like he was running around like a mad man. I was in the prince's study reading some books about packs and how they work. I could ask prince personally but he busy as it is. 

"let meet at the big tree, I'll be there in a minute." the prince said and he got up from his desk right away. kyle nodded and he walked out the prince's study real quick. prince walked up to me as he locked some drawers in his study. he walked up to me with the book now low to my chest. I was confused as hell. "I'll be right back, I'll most likely be gone for a few hours but just know I'll always come back to you." prince grabbed my cheeks and he cupped m cheeks gently. I nodded as I closed the book with my finger to keep its place. 

"good luck out there William," I said and the prince leans down to kiss me. I relaxed to his touch and the prince pilled back first and smiled down at me. he kissed the top of my head. 

"I'll be back princess." prince right away removed his hand from my cheeks and he ran out his study. I shook my head and decided to go back to our room. I kept my finger in the book and walked out of the prince's study. a maid walked by the prince's room and she noticed me as I walk out. she smiled at me and she continued to walk. I closed the door and walked back to the room. it was a short walk so I got back to the room within the minute. 

"princess, the prince would like to meet with you." a Butler said and I was about t enter the room. I just froze and just nodded slowly. 

"let me clean myself up and I'll meet you in a minute," I say and the butler nodded. I walked to the nightstand and folded the page I was at. I walked back to meet with the butler. he and I started to walk as I closed the room door. 

"he wants you to join him for a run if you don't mind." the butler looked at me and I was shocked. here he said he'll be right back but looks like I'm going to join him. I was in my short flowy dress and I was wearing tight black short leggings so it doesn't show my underwear. we walked out to the front door and the butler stopped walking to open it for me. "have fun, stay close to the prince." the butler said before the door was completely open. I saw the prince shirtless and in his underwear. he was ready to turn back to a big wolf again. he was talking to kyle also in his underwear. he then saw me. he smiled right away and he walked up to me. 

"ready to go princess?" prince grabbed my hand and I nodded. kyle walked back to the pack which was in their semi-big wolf form. kyle quickly transform into his semi-big wolf form. the prince pulled me the pack and he gave m the 'one-minute' finger. he started to transform but he wasn't the big wolf form. he was the same size as the other but he had a different body shape than the others. he was the alpha just by how imitating he was. he looks back at me and he put his head under my hand near my chest and put my hand over his head. 

"I'm not going to pet you, I was told were going for a ride," I said and the prince looked at me in his wolf form surprised.

"Just stay still." the prince said and he moved closer to me. he sat down in between my legs or tried too. "sit on me when I stand." the prince said and he stood up. I put my legs over the prince's body and me sitting on his back. it was like riding a horse but a big dog. 

"how do I hold you so I don't fall off?" I questioned and the prince looked at me.  

"Just hold on my neck. we'll walk but if we need to run then I'll tell you to hold on." prince sad and I nodded. he started to walk and the pack separated so the prince can walk pass them. 

"so we're going to look around the perimeter and see how much damage the red pack did to our territory." kyle said and he walks beside the prince. 

"there warning us but what's there goal?" said another member of the pack. 

"that's why we're taking a walk, we also need to investigate too." the prince said and the pack member nodded. the prince started to walk and the others started to walk behind us. 

"don't worry princess, we will protect you if anything happens." kyle said looking at me. I smiled at this. 

"thank you, so why am I part of this walk?" I questioned and the prince looked at me. 

"I want you to see the forest around us and breath in the fresh air. it not best to stay in the house for the whole day. you need some sun too." the prince said and I nodded. he was right about that. my dad even told me that much too. that reminds me that I have to talk o prince about my dad. I want to see him since now I live far from him again, well not that far. I can still see the castle 

"but the red pack? are they still around?" I asked and the prince looked at kyle. 

"they shouldn't be around but at the same time we'll protect you." kyle said and we walked up the hill. it was like riding a horse but it was more like riding a beast in those fantasy novels I read. 

"we'll be walking for an hour so it won't take long." the prince said and he was looking around. I sighed and I looked around. it was beautiful, I love nature but also I hat nature. the prince grew up with nature. looks like I have to get used to this.

"lets rest." the prince said and I got off the prince. we were at a cliffside near a lake view. the wall was the left of me but it was pretty far. I never saw the wall the separated the north to the south. the prince walked over to his pack and started to talk to them. I sat down at the cliffside hugging my knees. 

some people say the wall is big enough for boats to not pass through. the wall was a rumor I heard around and some people don't say it does not exist but it does. it just low so no one from the city can't see it. 

"like the view?" kyle asked and he sat down next to me. he looked at me and i looked back at him. 

"I heard of the wall was a myth but it real. why is there a wall anyways?" I asked and kyle looked back at the wall. 

"We don't want people from the south to sneak in the north. you know the consequences at this point." kyle said and I was surprised. I get it now, information for the north will get out and maybe a big war can start anytime is they have all that information. the north might do the same and I think the south caught that idea too?

"Who decided on the wall?" I asked and kyle looked back at me. 

"Both sides agreed on it, whoever crosses the wall without permission will be sent to death or lots of jail time depending on the king. I was more shocked and that I didn't know. 

"Good to know, they shou-" I was then cut off by the prince next to me and he looked at kyle. kyle nodded and he started to walk away. I was confused. 

"let me bring you, home princess, the red pack is near this area." I cleared my throat and nodded. I got up and prince stayed there as I got back on top of him. "I'm going to run so hold on to me." the prince said and he got ready to run. I put my arms around his neck and the prince started to run. he was a fast runner and i mean as a werewolf you do have some benefits. I just closed my eyes as I can feel the wind run past me. it felt like ten minutes and then prince stop running and now he was walking. I opened my eyes and saw we were close to the house. 

"that was super-" I was shocked and the prince spoke up cutting me off. 

"benefits of being a werewolf." the prince said and he jumped down a small cliff. were were near the front of the house. he stopped walking and I let go of his neck and got off the prince. "I'll go back to the pack after you go inside. make sure you don't go out of the house no matter what. the maids and butlers know were all out so they also know not to go out." I nodded and started to walk to the front door. the front door opened by itself and a butler's face popped put. he saw me and he opens the door gesturing me to enter. I look back at the prince still looking at me.

"be careful William," I say before walking in the house. the butler closed the door and the prince ran back on the forest. the door closed right away and the butler locked the door. he smiled at me before he walked away. I sighed and decided to walk back to the room. 

"would you like your lunch in your room princess?" one maid asked and I just nodded. the maid nodded and walked away. I continued to walk to the room and up the stairs. I wonder if the prince ever fought any other werewolf before but I mean of course he did. he heals fast as that what I learned from reading books. it's fun to read but sometimes I need some time off books. maybe I should call up my friend but at the same time, it not best not too from the phone. maybe I'll send them a letter. I made it to the prince's study and I know I'm not allowed in here but he has all the things I need to write a letter. just then the maid walked up to me and she looked at me confused. 

"I'm going to send my father a letter, I can eat my lunch later in the room. I'll be quick," I say and the maid nodded. I entered the study and walked up to his desk. it was a big desk and there was paper. he did have a pen nor pencil. he had a feather pen. looks like I have to get used to this. I sat down at his seat and man the seat was comfortable. I lean back and it could go back far. you can sleep in this. I then realized why I was here. I lean forward and picked up the feather pen. I opened the ink jar near the feather pen since I need ink to write. I saw the father write with this before so I know the rules. I started to write on the paper. 

"Hey, Helen and April how you been? I can really text nor call since.." I stopped writing knowing the prince might want to read this before sending this. I gave some thought. "I don't have any reception here most of the time. I want to tell you everything that happened in the past month or so. I'm getting married next month and I wish I can invite you, I'll ask prince if I can. mail me back what been happening with the city and the bad boy ken. did he find his mate? write you soon. maria ann." I was about too put the feather pen back and then I thought maybe I should write to my dad. I look for another paper and I found them. I wrote down another letter to my dad. I know I can visit my dad but I don't think I'll see him for a while. I gave it some thought and started to write. 

"hey daddy, how you doing? I have been good, excited for the wedding. there be some trouble going on but the prince is keeping me safe. I hope you're liking the castle. I bet you're still getting used to the rich life. I am too, the food is good and most of the time I'm bored but soon I will have my duties. I hope they're not so bad. I hope I get an update on you daddy. miss you. Maira ann." I put the feather pen back and closed the ink holder. I left the letters on the prince desk and I hope he gets the hint. maybe I should tell him. I see a smaller piece of paper beside me and decided to leave a note. I grabbed the feather pen just writing a quick note. there was enough ink for a quick write. I wrote down on the small paper. 

"can you mail this William? princess" I put the feather pen back and got off his chair. it must be nice to be the alpha and sitting here in my throne. I pushed his chair in and walked out of the prince's study. I walked out and went to our room. I walked in and saw my food on our bed. it was covered so my food could stay warm. it was fun being out in the wild and I hope prince bring me out more often. 

(prince William perspective) 

"you luna is young, she's 18?" ian said and he was putting in his shoes. I rolled my eyes, of course, he asks this. we scared the red pack away from our territory. I was putting my shirt on as was now fully changed. I put on my shirt last as I get hot easily. 

"you guys haven't had s*x yet?" Reid asked and he put his arms across his arms. most of the pack was changed and I was the last to be done. I was shocked and most of the pack rolled there eyes. 

"they have to get married first, your breaking the law having s*x before you get married. alpha is the prince so it's better that he doesn't break the law that his father set." Leo said and I just walked down the small him toward the house. I have to check on princess if she had fun and that I'm fine. I know she must be scared since she never saw me kill another werewolf and that I been gone for a while. 

"my parents want kids but they want us to take our time. princess's dad was the one who mentions that" I said and everyone looked at each other. "clean up! I'm going to check on my luna." I said and started to jog to the front door open by one of the maids. she let me in as my pack separated there own ways. I jogged up the stairs as I entered in and the maid closed the door. I went to our room, I cleared my throat as I stopped and walked in slowly. I pecked in first seeing princess reading her book again. she has been reading books about werewolves since she is going to marry a werewolf and plus it was bound to happen. I was happy she was learning about me and my kind. she technically two-third werewolf since her mom is half-human. she looked up from her book and saw me. 

"hey, did you scared them off?" she closed he book putting a fold-down and she got off the bed. she was still in her dress and she looked sexy as hell. I want to marry her already and make love to her. I put a smile on my face and walked up to her. 

"We did and now my pack is cleaning the mess," I said and hugged princess by her shoulders. I kissed her head taking in her sent. I can't wait till she's mines forever.  

"what mess?" the princess asked and I froze. we didn't fight at all but you could say we broke a few branches chasing them out. 

"just making a path where we can walk without tripping on a branch," I say and princess rolled her eyes. "I didn't fight anyone but we chased them out. it got really messy really quick." I said and princess nodded. she hugged me back by my wasit and I nuzzled in princess's neck. 

"what are they after?" the princess asked and I just sighed. I took in her sent once more. I need to get back to my study and get my research going with there path. we still need to find their main base. we found two of their small base. there was four of them so we still have tons of work to do. 

"I don't know but that's why I have to do my research. I have to go to my study and do my research. you can join me if you want if you need another book." I say and kissed princess's head. princess nodded and I let go of her. she went back to her book reading. I just walked out of the room. I went to my stud and o saw the rest of my pack walking in the house. I just ignored them and entered my study. I closed the door and I knew kyle was going to walk in soon. I sat down at my seat and then I saw a note with two letters. I read it. 

"can you mail this? princess." I was surprised. princess really does she own thing on her own time. I just cracked a smile on my face and threw away the note. I read the letter myself to approve and I'm sure princess knew I had approve of it first. that why she left me this note. I was impressed princess knew me this well already. 

"alpha, here's the document I have about there base we raided. also the path to there hopefully two small bases we still have to raid." kyle walked in and he closed the door behind him. he had a pile of paper in his arms. 

"Okay, I'll read them after I'm done doing this," I say and put the letter for her friends. she at least didn't say anything bad about the north. I went to read the letter to her dad. I ask my dad to send this letter to the city. he'll fond where her friends are thanks to princess's dad. 

"what are you reading?" kyle put the pile of documents on my desk and didn't look at the letter i was reading. he knows this is personal and it wasn't my handwriting. 

"princess want to send letters to her friends and father. I need to approve that she doesn't share anything to ruin the family." I saw and Kyle shook his head. 

"you don't have to do that but okay." kyle sat down in the seat in front of me 

"I have too and she knew I have to approve of these. she knows me this well already, I'm surprised," I said and finished reading the letter. looks like I have to send this tomorrow morning. 

"of course alpha, your sort of a control freak when it comes to your luna." kyle said and he put a smirk on his face. I scoffed and went to the documents right away. this is going to be a long night. 

the next morning came around and I pulled princess closer to me. I came to bed with princess sleeping. we got a good lead but we need to see those leads before we confirm it. 

"good morning William, how your meeting yesterday?" the princess asked and she looked up at me. I just closed my eyes and princess relaxed by putting her head near my chest. 

"We have leads and we need to confirm it. you need to stay home all day today as well but don't worry I'll have someone run tot he market and get books for you. all the books I have is not really interesting to read princess." I said and princess giggled to this. 

"you don't have to do that but I mean if you think it's best for me to read more interesting books. I like learning more about your type. you know I'm a half-werewolf and grew up like a normal person." the princess said and I did know that. when we get married she will start doing paperwork like me and be helping me with strategies with the pack. I have a study getting ready for her so she has her own study where I'll let her decorate herself. her study is next to mines which are convenient for me. 

"I'll note that but for now let's get up and eat. I have a long day ahead of me. we can go shopping after at night. the market is beautiful at night." I said and the princess looked like she was giving it some thought. 

"Okay but what about the red pack?" the princess asked. I gave it some thought but I mean I have a pack for a reason. 

"my pack can guard us and have fun too. it's just us spending time for each other that's all the matters," I say and the princess put a smile on her face. 

"Okay, see you tonight?" she said and she cuddled in the blanket. I just kissed her head and got off the bed. I need to get to my pack soon as we need to meet up in an hour.  

"you take a bath princess. I'll go wake up my pack so they can get ready for the meetup.

"good run. lets rest and run again tomorrow." I said and everyone nodded. I started to walk up the stairs and kyle was right behind me. we found the last two small bases and now we might know were there the main base might be. it's out the north and they might have access to around the north forest. we have to see what direction they enter from. I have to tell my father about this so now I have to mail my father some documents about my reports so far. this can affect my wedding that one thing for sure. 

"so you'll be in your study all-day writing the documents huh?" kyle said and I scoffed. he was right about that part. I have to see my princess beforehand. 

"look like it, you have to help me make these documents," I say and kyle sighed. I can't do the documents by myself. 

"copy that alpha, you should see your luna first before we do this." kyle said and I just nodded. I started to walk back to my room where she should be. kyle walked to my study right away. I entered the room right away and saw the princess was reading a letter. I was confused about why she has a letter. 

"Hey princess, what are you reading?" I said and princess looks up at me. 

"This is from my dad, want to read it too?" she asked and she handed me the letter. I know it wrong for me to read a personal letter from the princess's dad but I am her alpha. 

"later, just leave it on the nightstand." I sat down on the bed next to the princess. princess nodded and closed the letter. she placed it next to her side on the nightstand. there was an envelope with her father name and my father name sighed as it was sent through him. 

"How was the run this morning?" the princess asked and she looked at me. I moved closer to the princess and put my arms around her shoulders. I pulled her into my chest. 

"It was good, we have leads and might know where their main base is. it a lot to take in but I have to tell my father to up the guards around the walls and north perimeter. there base is outside of the north. I have documents to write with kyle so I'll be in bed late." I say and look back at princess taking in my words. princess nodded. 

"good luck with that. writing can be tiring, just get enough sleep at the end of the noght." the princess said and looked concerned. I nodded. and lean in kissing the princess slowly. 

"I'll come to bed as soon as I can," I say and princes lean against my chest. she closed her eyes. I'd also note to read the letter her dad sent her. I kissed the princess's head and hugged her tightly. "got to go, kyle is waiting for me." I say and princess chuckled as I let go of her. 

"good noght," the princess says and she hugged her knees. I got uo from the bed and walk back to the doors. I have a long night ahead of me.
