Chapter four: meeting the pack

“Princess.” the prince whispered while he kissed my head. I nuzzled in the prince’s bare chest and open my eyes slowly. “Wake up, you need to do things today. It’s your frist day as a princess in the north.” the prince said as I opened my eyes one hundred percent. I didn't know what to say. 

“Oh..,.like what things do I have to do?” I asked. I don’t want to do many things. I'm still not used to the royal life. The fact the prince is gone most of the day tells me I have a lot to get used too. The prince nodded noting what I said. 

“Don't worry, it’s not too hard. just fitting for outfits you might have to wear and learning to be a lady. My parents want you to learn proper manners.” the princes said looking down at me with soft eyes. I nodded. Of course, they want me to learn proper manners. 

“I don't mind that. Is there a set time for everything?” I asked getting up. The prince followed behind me. He put his arm around my waist and his chin on my shoulder. 

“One of my maids will always be with you so she’ll tell you. Relax, you're not doing as much work as me. You're also going to eat lunch with me every day as we have are work during the days too. We still get to see each other.” the prince kissed my neck and I just couldn't help but smile. At least we get to see each other still somehow.

“Okay, I’m just..how hard can it be being without you around all the time?” I jokingly questioned and the prince chuckled. 

“That what I should be asking myself, a princess. I can't be without you every time I work I think of you, I worry about you but I know you're fine. You're going to do great today.” the prince kissed my neck again. I was going to say something but then there was a knock on the door. The prince graned and he let go of me. “Get ready in an hour. I have to go now,” the prince whispered and he got off the bed.

“Don't miss me too much,” I said as the prince went to the walk-in closet. The prince just looked at with a smile as he closed the closet door. This is going to be one hell of a day. 

“Please stay still princess. I know you can't breathe right now but that's why we're making it fit so you can breathe well.” one of the fitting people said and I sighed. I was trying out my last dress and it was a victorian style dress. I need a few victorian styles just because the prince's family is that old school. 

“Sorry,” I say and she makes the dress more lose. Now I can breathe. The fitter nodded and measured it. She noted it on her notepad. 

“Done, good job princess.” she looked at me with a smile and I breathe out of relief as the dress loses around my waist. “You can change back to your clothes given to you. You need to wear a house dress for manners. You need to learn to not eat making a mess.” the fitter says putting her notebook away. She really comes here often. 

“Of course, so it’s right in here?” I asked getting off the platform. I pointed to the Japanese style folders. There was a dress on top of the folders. 

“Yes. it loosens around the waist so it should be easy to move around unlike the dress you're wearing right now.” the fitter said before she walked out of the room. I just walked to the folders and removed the victorian dress I was wearing. It dropped to the ground and I picked it up making sure it’s not dirty. I hang it on the folder slowly and grabbed the dress I’m supposed to wear during my manners class. 

“Princess?” the prince sudden voice scared me as I was about to put in the dress. 

“In here, I’m changing right now,” I say and I heard the door close. I quickly change into the dress and put my hair in a bun. It was tied up and I wanted it out my way one hundred away. I had flats on me already as I wanted to wear comfortable shoes. I didn’t think all that time passed already. 

“Oh, it lunchtime so I'm here to pick up.” the prince says and I walked to put the folders. The prince was at the door waiting for me. He had his hands in his pockets. 

“I’m ready, after this, I have to go do the manner section of my day,” I say and the prince removed one of his hands from his pocket and grabbed my hand. He held it tight ass he opens the door for me. I walked out first and the prince followed behind closing the door. 

“I know princess, today we're having salmon and stir-fried vegetables.” the prince says and I nodded. I don't really care what we eat. as long as it’s good then don't mind. I noted he been putting me on a diet in a way but I mean we eat the same thing. 

“I don’t mind that. Can I ask you a question,” I asked and the prince looked at me as we made it to the stairs? The prince nodded and he looked forward trying not to fall. 

“Of course you can princess.” The prince stopped and faced me as we made it to the last step. He helped me down even though I didn’t need it. 

“Did they put you in a strict diet? I noticed they give certain things when it comes to meals. Plus you asked me if I eat meat.” I say and the prince started to think. We continued to walk to the dining area. 

“ever since I was a kid, my father knew I was going to be an alpha. I had to learn what was good to eat so I don’t get poisoned and not due so easily. It's part of being an alpha.” The prince opened the dining door and there I saw it all clean of course but also there were maids setting Are meal. I had a seat next to the prince. His father was at the end chair and his mom was beside him. Price pulled me to the other side of his mom and he opened up a chair for me. I gladly sat down as he let go of my hand. He pushes me in. 

“So how your day so far may.” richmen asked as the prince sat down. 

“It fine, it not that bad as I thought,” I said and are food came. The maids put it down in front of us. They also put cups of water too. We had our forks and spoons already set up in our table. 

“It easy now but you're learning to be a proper princess. Your work as a princess is more difficult.” rein said and she knew what she was talking about. 

“I’ll adjust over time. I say and the prince nodded. 

“You will princess, now let eat. You must be hungry after the torture you been through.” the prince put his hand over mines and I just nodded,

(prince Willams perspective) 

I was back at my study as I was looking at letters from my family from the south that was going to visit. They wished me congrats and they can't wait to meet my future wife. I smiled at this of course. My uncle lives in the south and he been living there ever since he was born. He likes to visit the north. 

“Son here is more letter from sally family. They're also invited but if you feel uncomfortable then they’ll understand.” my father walked into my office, he had another letter in his hands. 

“Oh I mean they can come, father. It’s just that I have to make sure sally doesn’t get close to me. I feel like she wants to do something to princess since she wanted to be my mate.” I say and my father nodded. He handed me the letter. I grabbed the letter opening it up. My father walked out of my study, I read the letter.

“Hello, Prince William. I hope you're happy with your mate as here sally isn't happy. She still wants to marry you and she asked us to try on wedding dresses. We of course declined and she will just have to look for her mate. Don't worry she’ll give up and stop asking until you get married officially. We would still like to attend as our family is close to yours. You can say no if you can.  You can tell your father as he will keep in contact with us. Can't wait till your wedding. Hollin family.” I sighed and put the letter down. I already told my father the update so they should get the update soon. I folded the letter putting it aside. I got up and decided to peek on princess on her manners class in a way. I was done doing my paperwork and she would be done by 6 pm with her manner class. It was 5:45 pm right now. I walked out of my office and walked to the dancing room or fitting room. I saw my mother walk out of the dancing room.  She noticed me and she gave me a smile. 

“She just got done, you can go in.” my mother says and I nodded walking past her. I walked to the door opening it and when I walked in I saw a princess sitting down. she looks tired, after dinner, she needs to nap. 

“Hey princess, how are you doing?” I asked and princess notices me. She put a smile on her face. 

“Hey, I’m good just my feet hurt a little.” princess says and I walked up to her. The dancer that taught her then walked out of the room quietly and fast. I swear if he touched her like that. 

“So I have good news and bad news. Which one do you want to hear first?” I say and I sat next to my princess, she turned to face me. 

“Bad of course.” princess said and I put my hand over her hand. 

“Today I have a meeting with the park in the forest and they want to meet you,” I said. I got this note from one of my pack members earlier today after lunch. They want to meet for an update on the wall and meet my mate if I was comfortable with it, I would like princess to meet my pack. 

“Oh, I don't mind. What the good news?” princess asked and I nodded. 

“The wedding is at the end of this month so we don't have to wait two months,” I say. I know it best that is a wedding is sooner than later. I’m sure princess will agree with that. 

“Oh that good, so how far is the meeting?” princess started to get up but I stopped her, her feet were hurting still and I can tell. She was struggling to stand up. 

“Here let me carry you,” I said and got up. I went to my knees and princess was surprised. 

“You need to nap and eat princess. I’ll drop you into my room so just eat there and nap afterward. We’ll meet my pack in the afternoon tomorrow.” I say and princess just went to put her hands around my neck.  I grabbed her legs and stood up. 

“How many do you have in the pack? My dad pack is semi-big but not a lot of wolves.” princess asked as I walked out the door. A maid opened the room door and she saw us. She held the door open for me and I walked out thinking her by smiling at her. 

“A lot princess, we protect the walls of the kingdom for a reason,” I say and princess looked surprised. I walked to our room and a butler opened the door. I thanked him and smiling at him. He smiled back as I walk into the room. He closed the door while I walked to the bed. I set princess on the bed and she smiled as I turned around to look at her. I went to my knees and removed her flats. I started to massage her foot. Princess giggled at this. 

“That tickles. I’ll get used to dancing so my feet should get used to the pain.” princess said and I just chuckled. I used my healing ability to take away the pain. She can feel it as she looked at me surprised.

“I can heal my mate as you are my mate. Plus I don't want you to feel pain at all.” I said and started to heal her other foot. 

“There no need to heal me.” princess said as I got done the healing. I got up and sat next to princess. I put my arm around her waist and kissed her head. 

“I need to heal you. You're a healer, right? You, not a pure breed like me and it seems like you haven't healed anyone yet so your powers aren’t activated.” I say and princess knows this is true.  

“Can you help me activate it?” princess lean agian my shoulder. 

“I will but let's get married first. Then I’ll help you.” I kiss princess’s head again and she nodded. “Okay, I’ll tell them to bring here. You need to sleep. You need a lot of energy while you meet my pack.” I say and princess nodded. I kissed her head one last time. I got up and princess just got to remove her hair from the bun. I just walked out of my room and closed the room door. I saw a maid walk up with towels.

“Bring princess her meal in the room. Bring mine to my office,” I say and the maid nods. I walk past her to my office. I have to send a note back to my pack that I'm coming tomorrow with my mate.

“Wiliam? Are you awake?” princess whispered and I open my eyes to see princess sitting next to me holding a note. I groaned and got up slowly. I looked at the note and saw it from my pack. 

“When did you get this?” I asked and I grabbed the letter. That weird for me to wake up late. I wake up early like always. 

“Just now, I got up and grabbed it from your father.” princess said and I opened it reading it. 

“Hello alpha, were not all going to be there but we have another meeting soon so the others can meet your mate then.” I sighed and put the note on the nightstand next to me. 

“Okay princess, get ready to meet the pack. Just to let you know we're not driving there,” I said and got off the bed. Princess looked at me confused. “Trust me it not a fun ride,” I say adding on to that. 

“I can't wait.” princess got up from the bed and walked to the bathroom. I walked to the walk-in closet and closed it looking at my clothes. I went to my casual clothes and went to grab a bag. When I turn to a wolf which I will have to do to meet my pack my clothes ripped, my underwear included. so I pack clothes for me. I can turn into a normal size wolf but also turn into a big wolf since I am an alpha. I started to pack my clothes. I have another house I normally stay in since my mate was coming home we need to get married.  I had to stay at my castle with my parents untill today. I had girl clothes for her prepped when I started to plan the wedding. I got done packing my clothes and princess then walked in the walk-in closet. I looked over and she looks at me confused.

“What are you doing?” she asked and she walked up to me. I got up and hugged princess by her wasit. She looked at me more confused. 

“Just getting ready for our trip back to our real home.” I lean in and kissed my princess. She giggled and I let go of her. 

“Get packed up with the clothes you bought. Were living with my pack form now on,” I say and princess nodded. I stayed in my underwear since I know it will get ripped. I was planning to remove it and take a shower when I get home. I need new pairs soon so we need to go shopping soon too. It might be a good idea to bring princess around the town. 

“Okay.” princess went to grab a pair of leggings and a hoodie. She walked out of the walk-in closet to change in the bathroom. I sighed as I went to grab a bag for princess to pack her clothes. This is going to be one hell of a ride for me. 

I went to the garden near the back door. I was still in my underwear ready to transformation. I had my bag next to me. Princess walked to the back door as I told her to meet me here. She saw me and looked surprised. I just put a smile on my face as she walked up to me, 

“What are you?...” she asked and I just cleared my throat. 

“Just watch and keep the bags close to you.” I said and grabbed my grab giving it to her. She grabbed it while she was holding her bag. I walked away from princess and started my transformation. My skin turns to fur slowly and my face shifted to a dog face. It took me a good minute as my skin was all fur. My size started to grow. Princess was surprised and she just stood there frozen. I grew to my size as a giant wolf. I was as big as the castle so everyone in the town can see me.  I opened my eyes and turned around and looked at princess still frozen in place. “I know this is too much to take in but I’ll explain everything when we get home. I say and lay down so princess can get on me. 

“You have a lot of explanation to do willam,” she says and gently throws our bags in me. She then started to climb on me.  She gripped are bags and she sat down on my back. I have to say but she does not weigh a thing but I can feel our bags. I got up slowly and princess jumped to this. 

“I’m walking so just be glad I'm not running,” I say and started to walk. I walked over the garden wall and into the forest. I can feel princess moved our bags closer to my head where it won’t fall. I can she laid down. I just smiled at this.

“Am I that soft to be like bed?” I ask and princess giggled. 

“Yes, I want to see how it feels like to pet your normal size if you can turn normal size.” princess says and I just continued to walk through the forest. 

“I’ll let you and only you. I don't let other people touch me expect you,” I say as the truth. My parents even know this and I rarely transform as it is. 

“Oh, I can see why, how often do you visit your parents then if we live with your pack?” princess asked and I just started to think as I walked past a river. 

“I visit when my father and mother when we have events at the house. We have to live woth our pack princess. It the ruling princess.” I say and I’m guessing princess nodded. 

“I see, is the park nice when it comes to the first meeting? My dad pack wasn't nice when they met me at first. My dad left but I went to visit with him when I was 10 I think.” princess said and I stopped walking as we made it to the hill that my pack house resin in. we live on a flat hill with large forest areas for training for new pack members. It’s also good for walking around too. We have a good view of the town from up here. 

“They're nice and understanding. Also, you should know I’m climbing a hill so expect the bags to fall over,” I say and I felt princess grab our bags. I climbed the hill as if it was stairs. I made it to the top of the hill and laid down as the house was right in front of us.  Princess slowly got off from my back and she grabbed the bags at the same time. She landed on the ground and I close my eyes and went to a giant size to size down to a normal size wolf. Princess looked at me and I walked up to her so she can pet me. I have never been pet before so this is new to me. Princess put our bags down and she went to her knees as I nuzzled in her neck. I left her hand ran down my back and man it felt good. Only princess can touch me in this form. I wonder how my father will feel about this. 

“I feel like a dog and maybe a lap dog at best. Expect this to happen often?” I question pulling back and princes scratched the side of my face. Dam that feels good, I close my eyes to this. 

“That I don’t mind but I prefer you in human form. We should go and have your meeting.” princess kissed my head before she stopped petting me, I was disappointed but we can do this another day.  I’ll for sure be on her lap. 

“Okay let go but first let me change, I need to be in human form when I meet my pack.” I saw and I grabbed my bag with my mouth. Princess nodded. “Just wait by this tree, I’ll change on the other side.” I walked to the other side of a tree and princess did what I asked.

(maria ann’s perspective) 

I sighed as I can hear prince changing into his clothes. I can't believe that his transformation ripe his clothes from him. It must be unconversant. I looked at the house and hit wasn’t as big as the castle but it was still a mansion. I saw people moving around the windows. Just then I felt a hand grab mines gently and pulled me forward. It was prince back in human form and he was dressed in casual clothes of course. He grabbed my bag and we walked to the front door, 

“Don't be scared princess, they will bow to be when they see me, trust me they are that loyal to me.” prince says and we walked up the stairs leading to the door. Of course, they would. Just then the front door open and I jumped to this and their prince grabbed my hand with his free hand and I looked at him. He squeezes my hand as the doors open one hundred percent. There were a lot of people waiting in the large living room. Prince pulled me forward and we walked in the house. The door started to close as we were deep in the house. The pack looked at me and some started to talk to each other. When the door closes completely then all the pack strengthen their back and they bowed.

“Welcome back alpha.” they all said and looked at prince. The prince nodded and he spoke up loud like how an alpha should speak. 

“I’m homeboys so shall we get this meeting started.” princess says and he pulled me to the big main chair tat literary looked like a king's throne. He sat down giving his empty bag and my bag to one of his pack members he looks like he trusts him very much. He pulled me to his lap and wrapped his one arm around my wasit. He was hugging tight as he was claiming to his pack I’m his. 

“Okay, so the red pack from the south seems to be camping in the forest near here. We know as we saw clothes and food only made in the south.” says one person and the prince nodded. The guys that took our bags came back and he had a map in his hand. He rolled it out in front of us at the coffee table. The prince leaned in and looked at the marking od camps they found and where they found the food. It was marked red of course. There were camps they set to marked in black and a number of pack members per camp. Looks like they shift group from camp to camp. 

“What have you been doing to far? What's the plan?” prince asked and he was still looking at the map. I just leaned in and whispered in the prince’s ear. 

“I should go to our room, I don't think I needed in the meeting.” the prince looked up as his pack started to talk out loud about what they been doing lately. 

“Okay, don't leave until I say so.” the prince whisper back and I nodded. He went to look at the guy who put our bags in our room and he nodded. I got off prince’s lap and the prince kissed the back of my hand as the other guy walked off and I followed him. The prince let go of my hand and he continued to talk to his pack as I reach the stairs fairly fast. Some of the pack members moved out the ways as I way past them. Some of them looked at me and down. 

“Don't worry, they can’t hurt you without alpha seeing it.” the guy said and I saw prince looking at me as we walked up to the stairs. 

“Okay,” I say and look away. They continued to talk among each other and as we continued to walk up the stairs. I felt nervous but I knew I had to get used to living here. 

“Your 18 correct?” the guy asked and I nodded, he just nodded. “Alpha has been waiting even when he could choose his own mate. I’m more glad he waited. I know by looking at you you were the best choice. He never looked so happy. Oh, by the way, I’m Kyle his best pack member and loyal partner. We knew each other since we were babies. Our families grew up together. “ he says and I was shocked. An alpha must have at least one best friend in a way. 

“I see, you grew up in the south I’m guessing Kyle kilie.” I saw now recognizing his face. His uncle works with the law and one of the reasons why the south went to s**t. Kyle looked surprised. 

“I don’t know that man called my uncle. I moved out there by myself after alpha convince me to get out of there and it was one of the best decisions of my life. My family still lives there but I’m the only one that moved out. My mom disowning me for moving but I don’t care.” Kyle Said and I just cracked a smile. 

“Who doesn't care, I’m glad you moved out,” I say as we made it to the top of the stairs. We walked a long way into the hallway as we passed many rooms. 

“Alpha’s room is the only room with the door that has the crown on it of course.” kyle said I saw the door. It was slightly bigger than the normal size door. I was shocked and kyle chuckled to my face I guess. “Come on Luna, you need to relax before I take you on a tour of the house. Alpha requested it.” kyle and I walked up to the door and he opened it. I was surprised by how big the room was and how many books he had. He was a bookworm, there were more books than his room back at the castle.  

“Is he working on the plan all-day? It makes sense the red pack seems to be a threat to the north,” I say as I walk in. there was a walk-in closet of course and our bags were in front of it. 

“He is, he’s a busy man and will be busy for the next whole week.” kyle closed the door behind him and I nodded looking around the room. There was a huge balcony that can fit a small table set. There was one table set there actually, I guess he likes to eat outside his room. The view was beautiful by the way. 

“What will I be doing all week?” I asked and kyle lean against the wall next to the door. 

“Just studying what a princess will do. He hired a manner ‘teacher’ to come here too so you’ll do something for the few weeks too. Just expect to see me bringing you to your teacher.” kyle said and I rolled my eyes. Of course, prince would hire one. I need to be a princess and learning to be a princess in number focus for me right now. 

“I’ll note everything in my head, you should head back to your alpha,”   say and say at the bed. It was bigger than the one in the castle. 

“If you need me then ring the bell next to you. Just read a book or unpack your clothes. Do something useflul.” kyle got up from the wall and he walked out of the room. He looked back at me before he closed the door completely. I sighed and looked around the room once again, here we go again, It looks like I have to make new friends in a way. This was a life that I need to talk to my besties about actually I need to call them soon. I went to get up from the bed and my phone from my bag. I saw I had no serve. Looks like I have to talk to prince about this. Note to self, call my friends and update.
