Chapter three: mom visit and dad moves in pt2

4526 Words
“May,” Richard called out for me as I was walking around the garden. The prince was doing some work and I wanted some fresh air but I wanted to walk so I went to the garden. It was definitely one of my favorite places in the castle since I'm actually walking through it. “Yes?” I said and Richard walked up to me. He stood beside me. “Walk with me, I have a lot to talk to you about,” Richard said and we started to walk agian. “Is this about my mother and father?” I asked and Richard nodded. That was the only thing going on woth me since my father requested and I asked for the request. “They're coming in the north an hour and we set a room for them. Is there anything your father and mother like so they don't feel overwhelmed?” Richard look forward and I just started to think. “Well one, try not to make them feel royal as they arrive. My father is just a normal businessman so he’s used to the normal ‘welcome home’ and do what he does on a regular basis.” I say and Richard nodded as he takes it in. “So just treat him like family right away but get him slowly into the royalty life like you?” Richard looked at me and I just nodded. My dad is a simple man, My mom is different. “My mother is not planning to stay so just make her feel welcome as she won’t stay long. I also like to request she must not be alone with me. She not okay woth me finding my mate yet and she wants to take me home.” Richard nodded again taking it in. “My son told me that too so of course, he’s going to be around you all times as long as your mother around. He needs to get to know your parents so it best he’s with you all times.” I nodded as we made it to the middle of the garden, we sat at a bench and I sighed as I put my hands on my lap. “That is true, my father will like him as he is a gentleman,” I say and Richard put a smile on his face. I also put a smile on my face. “I’m more surprised he's your mate, I thought his mate was going to be a princess to be in the south which I don't mind but the south is more strict than the north. The king of the south is more death penalty and not forgiving unlike like me. It makes sense why people leave for the north from the south.” I just was shocked but I heard the same. I’m also glad he didn't have to interfere with that man. “What if the king of the south want the prince to marry his princess to be with the prince?” I asked and Richard looked at me. He started to think and sighed. “I have to decline of course as you are going to be married to him by then. The princess to be is a year younger then you may. So just be lucky the word don't go to the south as they don't carry t.v and more old school then the north.” I just nodded and looked at the view of the homemade small lake in front of me. “Make sense why the south doesn't have a lot of news when it comes to the news and online research. Teachers in my school avoid the south as a topic as well too,” I say as that was the truth. I asked once as a kid and the teacher brushed the topic off. As I got older I understand why the teacher and all the teachers avoid the south as a topic. “So with school, Was it tough? My son was homeschooled of course but I wanted him to go to a normal school but he had to move to the city and I am the king. There no that was happening either way.” Richard said and he looked at the lake as well. “It was tough and I don't think the prince could make it even if he moved to the city. If the people found out he going to a normal school they would bombard him with tons of questions of the north.” I say as it is the truth. Richard gave it some thought again. “You have a good point there, then I’m glad I never sent him to the city.” Richard gave me a smile as he looked at me. I smiled back at him and then I felt a presence behind us. Richard looked behind us as I did the same. It was the prince and he was reading at a paper with a wax seal. “What the problem son?” Richard said and the price walked up to us. “This is from your father as he will be here in an hour.” the prince handed me the paper and I just grabbed it as I started to read it. The prince started to talk to his dad and I just ignored them as it was most likely private. I just focused on reading the letter for me as it was sent yesterday to received a few hours later at best. I wonder why the prince waited this long to give it to me. “Hello May, it’s your father. It has been a while as you left a few days ago. But the time your reading this letter I’m in my way. I was told by the prince himself to write a letter regarding your mother and me deciding about your wedding. Your mother doesn’t want to move in with us unfortunately as she thinks working in the city is better than the castle. She still wants you to come home but at this point, he made you his by that kiss and by that law you can’t come home. I’ll be living there as his father P.A. Your mother will see you get married. I’m guessing there will be a guard beside the parents so your mother should behave during the wedding. Hope to see you soon. I missed you very much and can’t wait to see you. Love your father.” I smiled at this as I saw the prince looking at me. “Did you read this letter first?” I asked looking back at the prince. The prince nodded. “I had to make sure it not a threat from another person. I am your mate after all.” the prince walked up to me and I folded up the letter. “You have to do that but okay. Do know the exact time my parents should be here?” I asked and the princes put his hands in my shoulders and his father got up from where he was sitting. “Around an hour, I’ll call you when I get a chance, for now, you should get clowns up as you’ll see your parents soon.” The prince says looking down at me. I just nodded as I got up from where I was sitting. “Should I dress up too?” I Questioned and the prince grabbed my hand. We walked together back to the castle doors. “Maybe in a casual dress as it just a short meeting. I have my mother have the makeup artist requested not to layer your makeup this time around too. That also includes your hair with styling.” The prince says and he looks forward. I nodded again and looked forward. Thank god, I didn’t hate the makeup they put on me at the welcome party but it was caked to my face. I hated it as my hair was super curly. “Thanks for that,” I say and the prince looked at me with a smile before he looked back forward. ***** “Dad!” I Yelled and my dad walked in the prince’s study. We had meetup plans in the prince’s study and I’ll say but it’s super huge for a study. There were more books here so my reading selection was bigger than I thought. “Hey, honey! How are you?” My dad hugged me back right and tightly. My mom was standing really annoyed and posed off. there as there luggage’s were taken away to there rooms. The prince was at his desk leaning against it as there was a guard near my mom at the door. “Doing good, The prince is treating me good you don’t have to worry,” I say and my mom looked more pissed. The guard was ready as he was looking at my mom. “The north is different and the air is fresh. Different from the city.” my mom says looking around the prince’s study. “The city has a lot of factories and here we have very few of them. We have natural farms too, We don’t like to have process foods here.” the prince says and my mom nodded. “I’m sorry to sound rude but can we get a tour?” my dad asked and looked at the prince. The prince nodded and he looked at the guard. “You can go with your personal guard I hired for you. I and princess have somethings to catch up with. We’ll catch up with you later.” the prince says and my dad nodded. “Can you just come with us? It’s the best way to get to know you.” my mom says as she steps forward and the guard was ready as he moves forward himself but my dad stopped my mom. “Sorry but like I said I have to talk to my princess about some important things about our wedding.” the prince says and he got up from leaning against the desk. He walked up to me and hugged me by my shoulders. My mom stiffens as the prince was now touching me. “Hope you don't argue, make sure you talk it out.” my dad said and he grabbed my mom’s hand. He basically dragged her out of the study as my mom try to convince my dad for us to come along. “We won’t argue.” the prince says and I just giggled as the guard walked behind them and close the study door. “So was that a lie or were you serious?” I questioned and the prince kissed my head. “It was half. So what do you want to eat steak or fish for your meal at the wedding?” the prince asked and he let go of me as he walked to this desk again. “I’m fish, I love meat but not that much. Fish is fine.” I say and the prince took out a document. He grabbed an ink pen and wrote in it. “I like my steak, I’ll note the chef to cook fish for you. Want a type of fish would you like?” The prince Asked and he turned to look at me. “Milkfish please,” I Said and the prince looked at the document and wrote on it again. He nodded and put the document away. He put the ink pen away as well “Okay request done. So other than that are you happy about your parents being here?” The prince Asked and I just sighed. “I am happy but I’m not sure how my mother will handle the north and how she will be the only one going back,” I say and the prince nodded. “Come Here princess.” The prince opens his arm out and I just couldn’t help but put a smile on my face. I walked over to the prince. He grabbed my waist and hugged me tightly. I relaxed to his touch as I put my hands on his chest. “Just hope my mom just accept this marriage. If not then I don’t know how to feel.” I say and princes kissed my head. “She’ll take a while but she’ll come around.” the prince says and I closed my eyes. For some reason I like when he holds me it feels nice. ***** “Hey dad, mom did you enjoy the tour?” I asked as me and the prince walked up to them as the came from the garden. My mom looked like she doesn't mind me living here but she also still looks annoyed. “I like it here, the guard told us you had to grow out the garden to where is now. Must have taken a long time.” My dad says impressed.the prince just looked at the guard and the guard nodded. I can tell there are things the guards can’t say as they are technically guest or at least my mom is. “It took years yes, we planted a rose bush and it grew from there. We hired gardeners halfway as the area is big.” The prince says and I just squeezed the prince’s hand since we walked out holding hands of course. The price wants to show he’s serious about me. “Wow, and the castle? Did you fix it up as well? The guard told us the castle was a wreck when the north was starting to build.” My Mom Asked and the prince put a smile on his face. “Yes, we worked on the castle for about ten years to get to this point. We are still working on it to make it look more modern.” the prince says and I was just taking it in. “That good that you're going modern with the north other than the south.” the dad says and then richmen and rein walked out to the garden as well. “Hello, sorry to disturb your talking. So how do you like the castle?” richmen asked and my parents looked there way as they were also holding hands. My parents weren't feeling the love as they have fought the last few days because of me. “We like it, I for sure would get used to this but not so fast.” my dad says and Richmen nodded. “Son and jack come with me. We need to talk about the wedding.” richmen says and the prince nodded. My dad just went to whisper to my mom and my mom sighed in frustration. The prince kissed my hand and he whispered in my ear. “the guard will be beside you the whole time so don't worry about your mom dragging you out the castle.” the prince kissed my head and he let go of my hand. He walked to his dad and my dad was right behind him. They walked with richmen into the house. “Okay, ladies! Let go drink tea.” rein said happy and then a maid with a tray of tea and cookie walked to the garden. “So when is the wedding?” my mom asked and she sat a table near us. The maid put the tea in the middle of the table. The tea was fresh brew so it was super hot. The maid put are cups in front of the three seats. I and rein sat down and the maid started to pour the tea. The guard was right behind me as my mom was right across from me. “In two months or a month at best. There still trying to work out the location for the tea ceremony.” Rein said as the maid put the cookies on the table. There were sugar cookies and chocolate chip. they looked freshly cooked. “Let me guess this is three steps to this wedding?” my mom asked as she went through a wedding as well. Rein nodded without thinking. She has been through a wedding too. “I and my husband took a while to get married. I was raised in a poor family and I didn't want a mate and when I found my mate.. “ my mom paused as rein was focused on her. I just sipped my tea. I grabbed a cookie and bite into it. “I didn't want to go through it but I found out he, not a bad man. I can tell your husband is a kind man too.” my mom said finishing her sentence. “I wasn't happy about getting a mate and getting married myself as I was a middle-class high school girl here in the north. He was already the prince himself and he wasn't a bad man as o got to know him. I hope you don't mind my son being over possessive but he been waiting for his mate for three years after coming of age. When we found out that his mate was not at the age yet he was mad but he was willing to wait. I guess the wait was worth it.” rein said and sipping her tea, I was halfway of my cookie. “The prince is a good man. He may be possessive but he treats me well. He spoils me with hugs and kisses.” I say blushing and rein did the ‘aww’ face. My mom's eyebrows raised as I told her a secret I never told her. She slipped her tea and looked down. No surprised to me of her reaction. The prince does kiss my head a lot and hugs me often especially when we sleep. He doesn't let go of me even if I want to use the bathroom or if I’m sweating. “He is a loving man like my husband. He gave me a lot of kisses too.” rein said sipping her tea and taking a cookie and my mom nodded. “So since we're on the topic, how much of the wedding can you tell me?” my mom asked and since my mom is part of the wedding she has the right to know. Rein nodded as she sipped her tea. ***** (Prince William's perspective) “Okay, so you and mother will go first and then princess’s mother and father walk behind you after us?” I questioned looking at my dad and jack princess’s dad. They both nodded looking at each other. “The two guards will be behind jack and ari as protection.” my father said and I nodded. I don't want the wedding to be a wreck as her mom still don't like me and the fact that we're getting married within a month as that what it looks like is the due date just by the wedding planning process id moving up fast. I and princess are simple people so of course, the wedding planning was going to be faster than other wedding planning. My parent's wedding took three months to plan. “Okay, sorry about my wife, she didn't want a mate as she grew up with supper protected family. When she came to age her family knew she had to get married as it is a law. It took her a week to get to know me and then we started to plan a wedding. It took two months for us to get married.” Jack says and crossed his arms across his chest. I see so princess’s mom grew up super protective. Poor families are known to be targeted for kidnapping and forced to be sold to random men when it's not their mates. It a real issue in the city and in the south. We in the north have a low percentage as my father keeps up with this issue. “I can see where she’s coming from, my mate was the same but she was a middle class. She knew it was going to happen and she accepted it a few days after. We got married three months later.” my father said and Jack nodded. “My daughter is a rich class as me and my wife work for the state. You could say our family is on the same level but in the city, were less royal.” Jack says and I was surprised. I didn't know he worked for the city but makes sense why my dad gave him the position as his P.A. he knows how to handle the law as that was his job in the city. “The north is different from the city so the law rule might be a little different just saying jack. Also, you should know my son is also part of the council so he help me makes the laws as he will be the next king after me.” my father says and Jack nodded. I just sat at my desk taking in there conversation. “I see, I was actually of thinking of moving with my family. I think this was a calling expect my wife don't want to move in with me. I’ll try to talk to her one more time as she saw the house and I'm sure she been thinking.” Jack says and I mean he has a good point. Her mom didn’t look as pissed as when she came here. Maybe if I am nice to her and show the north is not as bad. Also, my parents are kind so maybe she’ll get used to being around my family too. “Of course, go talk to your wife but let's give her some time. Tell her to give you an answer by the end of this month as she will be visiting us till the wedding at best. I’m sure she changed her mind by that time too.” my father says looking at jack. Jack put a smile on his face. “I can agree on that, so how does my daughter like the north so far?”Jack asked looking at me now. I was just quiet the whole time taking in their conversation. “She likes it and she told me she like the garden a lot. I’m sure I’ll find her there often as she gets used to the castle. The halls I’m sure she’ll see it as a maze.” I say looking at my father. “Same for jack too and maybe his wife. The halls we can teach them but that will take time.” my father says with a smile on his face. I just sighed and lead back on my chair. “For sure I’ll get used to it in a few days. I was alpha before so my senses are still there. My daughter and wife... I don’t know.” jack looks up thinking. Of course, princess’s dad was alpha before. Just then it hit me. “How long were you alpha jack?” I asked curiously and jack and my father looked at me. “Oh..that right, I was going to tell you about my alpha days before we got to wedding planning. I was alpha since I was 18 to a year before I started working for the city.” Jack says and I nodded as my father noded also. I know you can step down as alpha giving the tile to another member before you stay at a low class in the group or before you leave the group. “Why did you leave jack?” my father asked and he leans against my desk. “Well, I left due to me working for the city. I wasn't really feeling being the alpha anymore as the generation was changing. I thought we need a new leader so I left and I glad I did. The group is still doing well and they know about my move. They all wish me good luck. They were surprised that my daughter mate was the prince though.” Jack said and looked at me and my father. Of course, anyone would be surprised. Even my uncles were surprised that my mate was younger than me which was rare. She was worth the wait for sure, she was beautiful the moment I set eyes on her. I’m just glad that she was easy to handle and not stubborn. She knew it was going to happen and accepted it. She isn't scared of me yet which is good and I can feel she is getting comfortable with me. “So your alpha now right?” Jack asked looking at me. “How do you like being alpha, I can tell your father dropped his position to be the king and passed it to you,” Jack said looking at my father. One thing for sure he was right. Being the king requires a lot of work and being an alpha and a king wasn't working for my father. He passed it down to me as I been an alpha for a year now. It’s not bad but I do work maintaining that my group is not a wolf gang. We work but doing trades for my father and protect the north. Were like guards basically. Now that I think about it they haven't meet princess yet. “I am for a year now, it not bad and I know it’s going to get harder over the years. I know for sure after I get married it going to get harder,” I say as it is the truth. “Of course, so alpha life, What's your duties?” jack asked and he knows depending on the alpha they are asked to do something the alpha father who was the old alpha talking over the old duties. Here we go. This is going to be a long talk. “If I tell you my duties, you have to tell me yours,” I say as an exchange. I was kind of curious about what Jack did as an alpha. My father rolled his eyes. “Okay deal.” Jack looked at me with a smirk on his face. Here we go.
