chapter fourteen: big news and more big news

"Hey, William? can i talk to you are your meeting? it important." i say and the prince looked at me as he was getting ready in casual wear. he was in jeans and a sweater. he was going to a meeting in the town with his pack to talk about how to protect the town from the red pack if they attack the town first. William fixed his hair in the body mirror and then walked up to me. 

"Just tell me now, i have time right now." the prince says and he sat down next to me on the bed. i was still in bed and feeling still weak. i had another few days to rest until i start my princess duties again. i have to tell this news to the princes first before i start so he knows. 

"Are you sure?" i asked and the prince nodded. i sighed and cleared my throat. i knew how to start it, i practiced a lot beforehand. "so be ready to surprise, this will affect us and especially me but I'm pregnant. the doctor told me in-person first and he rather let me tell you then he tells you." i say and the prince froze in place. he was speechless and he couldn't say a word. it took him a few seconds before he spoke up again. 

"pregnant? when-wait is that why your luna..." the prince said and then he looked at my stomach. i was protecting it with my hands. "how long has it so far? i can see why the doctor told you to tell me. it better my wife tells me of course." the prince says and puts his hand over my stomach. there wasn't a belly just yet but i don't want to risk hurting myself his early. 

"two weeks in, i been careful with what i eat. that why i leave certain food on my plate after I'm done eatting," i say and the prince nodded. all the meals i have been eatting i avoid the food the doctor said i should avoid. he gave me a list after he told me i was pregnant. he also told me the activities i can do and can't do. 

"did the doctor give you notes? i need to see them so i can inform the chef. I'll inform the pack too so they can help you. they will change your food if they see something you can't eat and remind the chef." the prince said and i nodded. i went to the nightstand grabbing the test results of my samples and dietary paper the doctor gave me. it included my activity can and can't do too. the prince looked at the time on the clock near me. "I'll make copies and give these back you go after i come back, i need to contact the doctor before i leave so rest up. I'll inform the chef too beforehand so you can eat your breakfast now." the prince says and pecks my lips. he got off the bed and looked at the papers as he walked out of the room. i sighed and now since the prince is contacting the doctor can tell him more information since he co trolls my princess duties anyways. i laid back in bed and put the blanket over my body. i put my hand over my stomach, I'm pregnant and carrying our first child. looks like we have a lot to talk about after the prince gets back from his meeting. 

i rested for another thirty minutes before a mind came in with my breakfast. it looked good and the maid set it down on my lap. i thanked her and she walked out of the room. after breakfast, i just read a book until the prince came back from his meeting an hour later. he walked into the room with the papers i gave him and he gave them back to me. he sat next to me in bed since i was still in bed. 

"the pack now knows and including the pack. i don't trust the maids and butlers at all. the chef is a family friend so you can trust him. the maids and butlers are hired by my father and mother." the prince says and i put the paperback in the nightstand under all the books so the minds can see it unless the move the five heavy books which i know they don't have time for. 

"Okay so when are we going to tell the others and our parents? we've already told the pack first before we told our parents," i say and the prince chuckled as he put his hand on my cheek gently. "i hope you have a plan when we have to tell the public." i say and the prince leaned in putting his forehead on mines. 

"There is a time when we tell everyone including the public but for now we'll keep it a secret. we'll range something with our parents and we'll never tell the mids and the butlers. like i said i don't trust them. I'll have kyle in the meantime stay by the door so if you need something he'll be your contact. " the prince says looking at me and i nodded. 

"what about my princess duties. I'm sure you and the doctor planes something about that," i say and the prince moved away from me. he removed his hand from my cheek and grabbed my hand gently. he did have ten minutes before leaving for the meeting this morning. 

"you'll be working from your study and going out from time to time. i want to make sure you stay safe of the mission as the red pack problem is still ongoing. I'm not risking it this early and plus a better reason to grab you away from Me. kyle or lemon will be by your side all times when you need fresh air or when you want to head out for a walk in the village. the chelf already knows about your diet plan so the food is already covered but from now on one of the pack members will bring the food just to make sure your diet planed is staying, no mistakes will be made." the prince said and i just nodded. this is going to be a hell of pregnancy especially with the prince as my husband. 

"Okay, that's a lot to take in but i can do that," i say and the prince kissed me sweetly this time. i siled and the prince put his forehead on mines. "just don't overwork yourself. i don't want to see you go crazy before i go crazy." i jokingly say and the prince chuckled. he kissed my forehead this time. 

"i promise i won't, this is for your own good. I'll update you about our parents when i contact them okay? just let me do the planning, i know what I'm doing." the prince says and i nodded. i hope my mom and dad are ready for the big news.

(Prince William's perspective) 

i went to my study to meet up with kyle for a quick meeting without the pack. there were some things we needed to talk about in private. Leon took over kyle spot by my room door. the princess was still in her testing and i made sure she got her snack for the day before i left. she has to eat more since she is growing a human in her belly. i walked in my study to see kyle looking out at the yard from my window behind my desk. 

"Sorry I'm late, I had to make sure the princess eats. she never eats when she has too," i say and close my study door. kyle turned around to look at me and he smiled as i sat down at my seat. kyle went to lean against my desk and he continued to look out at the yard. it was sunny as always so t was nice outside. 

"so outside of important matters what are you going to do about your parents. now that the princess is pregnant with your first child. it's a huge deal so you have to tell your parents as soon as possible." kyle says and i sighed. i have been thinking all day about that but no luck on what to do. 

"I'm thinking about it but now sure how to tell them. i don't want to tell them straight forward you know what i mean," i say and kyle nodded. "i happy myself and you know i have to make sure the princess stays safe. this is a good chance for the red pack to just steal her and bribe me. not risking that." i say and kyle nodded again. 

"have dinner at the castle, plan to see them and tell them you want to tell them something important. your father will assume it's something about the red pack but it not. you guys can talk about it in the garden as a great view." kyle said looking at me. i nodded. that can work and plus that means they don't have to go anywhere and risk getting hunted by the red pack if they have to come to my mansion 

"I'll send a mail-out so my father knows were coming in two days. the princess still needs to rest. okay now that out the way let talk about the important matter. the town hall and town garden is more open than any space we have. they'll most likely be in groups and attack that way. no way there going to start a war as in a war zone." i say and kyle sighed as he got up from my desk and walked around to sit in front of me in the seat in front of me. 

"We don't have enough pack members to guard the while town. we do need to hire more members alpha besides we been needing to expand the pack for a while. the red pack has more members as we investigate them. what do you think?" kyle asked and i sighed. 

"We have to do it in private or better idea i can kill another alpha of a pack near us. not sure the princess would like that but we have more members in a quick second," i say and Kyle shook his head. there were small packs near the forest area around the north. the red pack seems like there more from the mountains which means they have all the space and more members. they probably have a mansion as big as mines. 

"we'll talk about that another day. for now, let's focus on putting the pack in groups and they can walk around town protecting the town. me, Leon, Jerome, ian and maybe you can be the leaders as we can't just trust the pack in there own groups without leaders." kyle says and i nodded. groups are good to start with when it comes to observing.  the town might get a little suspicious but my father will make an announcement that it is just because we want to keep the town safe. 

"so how many per group?  also, i don't trust ian just yet so no way ha can be a leader just yet," i say and kyle looked confused but nodded. i went to start writing a letter for my father about the group plan bit also about meeting up with them and tell them the big news. "we can do six per group if that a good number. one leader, five pack members." i say and started to write on a paper. 

"that can work, let's think about the details your father so he doesn't freak out too much." kyle says as he leaned in to help me write the letter. it took us a good hour before we finished with the meeting and we planing to tell the rest of the pack tomorrow. i have to look at the small packs around the north to see which one to attack so i can take his members. i need the best members and trustworthy one right now and this is the only way to extend the pack. it will take to long to hire new members at this point. i just hope the princess can understand.

(Maria ann's perspective) 

i got done getting ready to have dinner with our parents. it was the day to tell them the big news. they think we're telling them something else at least that's what the prince says. i was in a dress that was loose around my stomach area. the bottom but was slowly and cute. i was wearing a cardigan over the dress, of course, to stay warm. the prince warned the chef beforehand at the castle about my change of diet. the prince got out the walk-in closet in causal wear. he got done fixing his hair and he walked up to me.  

"Are you ready princess?" the prince asked and he hugged me from behind by my waist. he kissed my cheek and i giggled to this. i fixed my strap of the dress before i turned around to face the prince. i put my hands around the prince's neck and the pence leaned in to kiss me sweetly. 

"I'm ready, just need to grab my bag," i say and the prince pecks my lips before he let go of me. i walked to the bed where my bag was. it had the medication i needed to take that the doctor gave me.  it also had my phone too which i use from time to time but i keep it out the public's eye. "so how are we going to tell or start the conversation?" i asked and walked back to the prince who healed out his hand. i put my hand in his and he intertwined our fingers. 

"I'm sure we'll think of that when we get there, for now, let's make sure we don't get caught in any trouble and keep you safe." the prince says and he pulled me towards the door. we made it downstairs where i see the pack members just chilling out and having a great time. kyle had the mansion in check for the prince so we had nothing to worry about. just then an came out of nowhere and ran towards us. the prince sighed and stopped walking.  

"can i come too, i have to get home too." ian says and he had his bag with him. the prince rolled his eyes and he nodded. Richard dropped off ian this morning so he did have to get home somehow. "okay! let's go." ian walked behind me and we continued to walk out the door. it took us ten minutes to get to the castle and ian looking at me the whole time. the car stopped at the front of the castle and the driver held the door open for me. i walked out first before the prince and ian got out last. Richards greeted us at the door waiting for us. 

"Thanks for dropping off ian, less work for me. come on in." Richard said and he gestured us to come in. i covered mt stomach and i thread the prince whisper to ian to keep it a secret. he'll tell father and mother himself. ian nodded and walked away as we reached the dining room. ian went back to his room i guess. 

"so what happened with the red pack to make you come to see us. it must be serious." Richard says and he opens the dining-room door for me to walk in. the prince walked in too. i saw my mom and dad sitting already with rein as they were talking about something else. they noticed me and the prince. they a;l smiled and stopped what they were talking about. i can tell they can sense something right away. my dad's face says so. 

"actually it something else father, it's happier news so calm down." the prince says and pulls out a chair for me. i sat down putting my bag in the chair. the prince sat next to me. Richard sat next to rein. all of them were confused. and the prince sighed. looks like were telling them before we eat. 

"what wrong son? is it about the princess, i can see she in she luna body already," Richards says and he looks at me. i was holding my stomach trying to act normal but my mom is looking at me and i know she knows what going on.  i can see it in her eyes. 

"well, there a reason for that father. you know how you been asking me when I and the Princess plan to have a child, what would you say if were making one right now. she fell ill last week and the doctor noticed her luna body was coming in fast. he took some samples from the princess and we found out the princess is pregnant. her body recognizes this and fastens the change in her body." the prince says and our parents looked shocked. 

"the doctor told me personally and i told the prince a few days ago so that why we had to tell you as soon as we can," i say and my mom started to cry. my dad got out his seat and jogged up to me. he hugged me tight and chuckled as the prince looked at me worried. 

"congrats! for how long?" my dad asked and he let go of me. i sat back in my seat and my dad was forced back to his seat by my mom pulling him. the prince chuckled at this and Richard looked at me. 

"not long, two weeks and two days so far. it not bad but i feel tried most of the time. I'm going to start working form home and the prince won't let me leave the mansion until it's time to tell the public." i say. everyone nodded. the prince held my hand under the table tightly.  

"congrats honey, it also a bad time with the red pack problem going on so i can see why my son won't let you go out." rein says and the prince sighed. tighten the grip on my hand. i looked at the prince who was clam but i can tell he was nervous when the red pack topic comes to the conversation. 

"I'll think about when to share the news so the red pack doesn't take this time to make there move. I'm doing my best to protect my pack, family, and the north. for now i want to keep the princess from the red packs reach. there planing there attack soon as i know of." the prince says and Richard nodded. 

"There is some news of the red pack, okay we'll do the same with the north. you can lead that on me, son," Richard says and the prince smiled. "for now let's eat and celebrate. this is great news to hear. we're having our first grandchild rein. does ian know too?" Richard asked and we heard a knock on the door. 

"i know father, can i join in the dinner. I'm hungry myself," ian asked and he popped his head from the door. Richard nodded as the prince moved a seat beside him so ian knows where to sit. ian smiled and he walked into the dining room where we got our food. of course, mines were different. we talked about after this whole war thing goes away, they'll be happy to spoil it and what we want for our child is our choice. rich mention to name it after the prince's grandparents aka his father's parents since he passed away and the Prince will think about of course. this is going to be a journey from now on.

i was looking at the mirror and gently rubbing the small bump i had. it has been a month since we told our parents and the pack about my pregnancy. i have been working from home for the last few weeks and staying healthy. the red pack attacked a few places in the last few weeks but the prince's pack fight them off and they run away of course. the prince told me he'll be gone for the weekend on Thursday and it been two days for far. I was worried but i trusted William very much. i was headed to bed but then the room door opened. 

"hey, I'm back." i looked to see the prince and he was scratched up. he looked like he was in a fight. i ran towards him right away. the prince smiled and hugged me as i got close to him. "don't worry, i heal fast. I'll be fine in a few days." he said and lean in to kiss my cheek. the prince saying that still makes me worried. i lean back taking a good look at the prince and he looked like he healed a little already. he is a wolf and werewolves heal faster than any human 

"what happened? why are you hurt?" i asked and put my hands to the prince's cheek where there was a huge cut. the prince smiled and leaned his forehead on mine. i knew he did something i won't approve especially at this time. he knew i knew i would get mad at him, his face tells it all. 

"i had to expand the pack princess, i fought another alpha and i won. i got hurt a little but I'll be fine. the red pack is way bigger than mines so i had to do something."  the prince says and i was shocked. i never saw the prince fight before but the aftermath looked bad. he's trying so hard to protect the north by doing things that he doesn't need to do. 

"you-you don't have to do that. look at you, you know you had a pregnant princess at home," i say and the prince leans into peck my lips. he nuzzled into his neck. i sighed and hugged me by this neck. i am very mad but if he says the red pack is bigger then i guess i understand. i was going to say something but then i saw a crow drop a note on the balcony. the prince looked up and saw the note on the balcony. 

"I'll be right back, you stay here." the prince says he let go of me. i tried to stop him but he put my hand down. i sighed and the prince grabbed the note from the balcony. he went to read it to himself in his head. he looked made but then smirked. he walked to me and he grabbed my hand. "stay here, looks like your crush gave me a hint of how to track him at his real base." the prince said and he kissed my hand. i was confused and then saw the note. 

"send me a note back when you change your mind, i want you to myself." i knew what he was up too and i don't like it. i do trust him a lot but this time around i don't want to lose him. he risking his life for this. i nodded and the prince kissed my head while he walked out of the room. whatever he's planing i will trust he knows how to protect himself. 

it has been a few days and the crow came back every day to check up for a note i guess. the prince healed up and looked okay now. he came back with a note and it looked like a normal note. he put it outside and then he sat next to me on the bed. i looked at the prince confused. 

"i put a tracker on the note so once the crow goes back to pick it up we'll know where his true base was. so how are you feeling?" the prince asked and he put his hand on my belly. i smiled and saw the crow came and picked up the note. i shook my head and put my head on the prince's shoulder. 

"I'm fine but tired. so how are you tracking the note exactly?" i asked and the prince chuckled.  he leaned in kissing my head. the prince pulled out a phone but it wasn't a phone. it had a dot following outside the mansion. i was surprised he got this. he did do some extra shopping whenever i come to see him in his study. looks like he been building this and he got done. he probably thought he should test this as a trail and find out where the main base was. "just be careful, i don't want to lose you just yet. also, when will i meet the rest of the pack?"  asked and the prince looked at me. 

"soon princess, for now, stay in the room or study." the prince says had he kissed my head. i sighed and leaned in the prince's shoulder. i closed my eyes taking in his warmth. the prince better knows what he's doing.
