Chapter 2

(Amara POV) "I will miss you, my baby" Mom said with sad eyes as I smiled and nodded. "Of course. Don’t be sad. Besides, it's just for 1 year. After that, I can visit" I kissed my mom's cheek. I tried to maintain my smile and show how strong I am. I hate crying in front of others so I suck it up. "Besides you can come there anytime" I can only visit earth after 1 year since my program prohibits me to go to other dimensions and focus on my training. It was never a rule but the elders suddenly brought it up. My parents tried their best to reason with them but they didn’t agree. They fear that they will once again live without a ruler in their land. Mom was very heartbroken and sad to hear that her people felt such a thing. She didn’t mean to leave her people and she visits as often as she cans. But I guess it's still not the same as being a ruler who actually stays there and is beside them. So when I was marked as the next queen they were determined to keep me by their side. My parents agreed on the condition that I will leave with them until I attain the age of 18. Mom nodded her head and hugged me tight one more. Dad engulfs both of us in a hug and kissed my forehead. "Always be safe. If anything happens calls me immediately" he said as I nodded. Once we separated I looked at my brother. He was staring at the ground. I gave a wide grin as I went to him. "What's up," I asked casually as I frowned and looked at me. "Nothing" he grumbled rolling his eyes. "Awww Are you sad because you will miss me, big brother?" I asked blinking at an abnormal speed. He looked at me horrified before pushing me by my face. "Get away from me, you pig. That was the most distorted face I have ever seen" he said giving a shutter. I growled and stepped back "Hey! Be nice to me!" I growled making him smirk. "Whatever" "Oh for Moon Goddess sake! You both are going to be separated. For once in your life don’t fight!" mom shouted as we gave a 'yes mom' before glaring at each other. "Time to go" the council announced as the both of us turned to them. The color drained from both our faces. I could feel the sadness from our bond linking. It was one thing that was special about us. We both have a strong connection. We can feel each other's emotions. A bond that was only between us. Even though we fight countless times, we have never separated from each other. We were always together no matter what. Now separating from my family and the place I grew up is really hard for me. No. I don’t think I am overreacting. No matter what the situation is, separating from your family to live a new life is the hardest. "Ok" I took a deep breath and nodded. I didn’t want t leave but I knew I should. It was decided since I was very young. I grew up knowing I will leave them. I walked to the portal, my heart beating faster and faster. "Hey punk?" a familiar voice came as I stopped and turn around. "Be safe and if any asshole approaches you, give me a call" he said as I grin. Even if people say we hate each other, even if people say twins born of different elements will never go along together it was never true. We insult, beat and kick each other's a*s but if someone messes with one of us- They. Are. Dead. "I will miss you too, brother" I smiled before I stepped into the portal. From today onwards a new chapter opens in my life. ********************* For a moment everything was blank. There was nothing around but darkness. But then a bright blinding light shone through making me groan and close my eyes. I stepped into the light and in a second the white light changed. I was now in the throne room. A round of cheers and claps and cries of happiness filled my ears. I looked around to see everyone on their knees, happily looking at me. I could feel a strong aura from them. "Welcome back, your majesty Amara Morrigan Lightstorm," the one in the middle said as I gave a small nod. "Thank you for the warm welcome" I smiled at them. There were about 20 people in the room. "Of course. You have finally arrived in our land as queen of Amarz. We couldn’t be happier" He said as the other nodded and voiced their happiness. "But I am still not your queen. I am training so let's be more casual" I said as I motion my hand for the people to rise. "Yes but you are still the queen" I smiled awkwardly as I looked at them. They still haven't stood up. Should I tell them to stand? But can I do that? Is it ok? A million questions ran through my mind. Usually, when I visit here they don’t do this. They were more casual and free when they speak to me. The door suddenly opened and I smiled as I saw someone familiar walking to me. "Uncle Nate!" I smiled wide as I looked at him. "Hello Amara" he smiled as he gave me a side hug. "Late happy birthday, my dear" "Thank you, Uncle!"  "I am sorry I wasn’t here to call you but we have a very important matter in hand," he said as I nodded. "It's ok. I understand. Was Ceil called because of that?"  I asked as he nodded. "Yes." Today Ceil was the one who brings me here but in the middle of the night, he was called back saying something emergency came up. "I have talked the matter with your mother earlier. Now I need to update you since you are the next queen" he said as I nodded. My eyes went to the people behind him. They were still on their knees. "Ummm uncle" I called before I leaned closer to his ear. "Could you make them stand up?" I asked as he raised one of his eyebrows before turning around. He turned back to me and shrugs. "Just tell them to stand" "Me?" I asked as he once again raised one of his eyebrows. "Do you see anyone else?" he asked as I stared at him with wide eyes. "Fineeee" I pouted before looking at them. "You can all stand up now," I said remembering how mom talks to them. Uncle Nate nods at me before looking at them. He told them they are dismissed before turning to me. "We have a very special set of guests coming here and as part of the training as a duty as the future queen, I want you to take responsibility," he said as I looked at him shocked. "Are you sure?" I asked as he nodded his head. "Yes, they are very important chosen ones. You should make sure you make them comfortable in all manners. Can you do that Amara?" I smiled and nodded my head. "Of course. You can count on me" I grinned at him. I really thought things will go easy. I mean what would go wrong. I know everything about the Dominion. The places, the tradition, and everything else. It won't be hard being a guide. But oh my god I was so goddamn wrong,
