Selene is an Alpha Princess but disguised herself to be an Omega.

She is the only child of the Alpha of Silver Creek pack.

She was betrothed to Dam, the son of a cruel and dominant Alpha Alex of the Blood Moon pack.

Selene’s dad and Alpha Alex agreed on the union of the two packs, so they thought it was a nice idea to betroth their kids when Selene was very tender.

Their sole aim was that their kids could easily unite as one stronger pack soonest.

There was an unexpected rogue attack that claimed the lives of Selene's parents.

After the death of her parents, Alpha Alex greedily took over the two packs and in a while, he handed the reign to his son, Alpha Dam to be a Lycan King.

Selene was never treated as a Luna but was used as an opportunity to execute their plans by Apha Dam and his father. The ill treatment from them made Selene question the fate of her existence.

What happens when Selene finds out that the rogue attack that took away the lives of her parents was all planned out by Alpha Dam and his father for selfish purposes?

Will she survive long enough to take back what rightfully belonged to her?

CHAPTER 1
SELENE'S POV. I drifted between dreams as I lay on my bed. The moon cast a gentle glow through the windows, but suddenly a restless stirring disturbed my sleep. A voice not quite audible but sharper than a mortal voice, resonated within my mind, causing me to awaken. “Selene, wake up. We need to go.” It urged, the voice sounded like a distant howl. I rubbed my eyes, trying to make sense of the urgency of my inner wolf’s message. “What's happening, why do we need to leave?” I whispered into the stillness, but the only response I received was an insistent feeling of danger that lingered in the air. “Run, now! Danger is near and I can smell it.” It echoed again. With a heavy sigh, I yielded to the inner call, knowing now was not the time for questions. Silently I slipped out of my bed as my heart raced, the cool floor meeting my bare foot. I cast a glance at my peacefully sleeping parents; The Alpha and his Luna, just the next room to mine. They were unconscious of the danger and remained undisturbed in their dreams. I hesitated for a moment, torn between the instinct of waking my parents and the urgent call of my inner wolf. But I moved out of the pack house immediately. I ran through the pack's woods as the scent of danger grew stronger. My heart pounding corresponding to my footsteps. My inner wolf guided me, a silent presence in my mind, urging me away from the impending danger. I only stopped when my surroundings felt unfamiliar, my inner wolf was satisfied that we were far from the danger that lurked in the darkness. Hours later, I returned to the park house, my chest heaving with exhaustion. The air felt heavy as I approached, sensing an aura of grief and mourning wrapping up the pack house. The pack members were gathered together, tears staining their faces and all eyes turned on me, bearing the weight of sorrow. “What happened,” I gasped, scanning the sombre faces. My heart sank as I overheard their sorrowful murmurs. “Rogues attacked the pack,” I could hear someone say. “Our Alpha and Luna are gone,” another said. “They killed the Alpha, Luna and pack armies that tried to stop the attack.” Another pack member murmured. I couldn't comprehend what I was just hearing. “Could that be a joke?” I asked, expecting no answer. A cold sensation gripped my chest as I sighted my parents' lifeless bodies. I lost my balance and moved unsteadily as my knees trembled and disbelief was written all over my face. My heart was shattered into a million pieces. Kneeling beside my father’s lifeless body. “You promised to protect me, Dad. Who will shield me now?” My voice cracked with sorrow, and tears streamed down my fur-covered cheeks. Lost in the storm of despair, I turned to my mother's motionless body. “Wake up, Mum. You can't leave me alone,” I pleaded as if my words could take a stand against death itself. The weight of loss, heavy in every word. The pack members watched in silence, their pain mirrored in my grief-stricken cries and I absorbed the crushing reality. My world has been decreased by the absence of my parents. The once safe and peaceful pack seems unsafe for everyone. FLASHBACK The door creaked open, and my father walked in. The expression I could read on his face was a mixed concern as he sat very close to me at the edge of the bed. “Selene, my daughter," he began, his voice resonating with a deep and comforting tone. “I need to share something important with you, something that concerns the essence of who you are.” I looked up, my eyes searching his face for answers. “What is it, dad? Why do I feel different, like something has changed since my first shift.” He took a deep breath, choosing his words carefully. “On your 18th birthday, during your first shift, you transformed into a white wolf and it is quite unusual.” He said. “I had to seek guidance from the moon goddess to understand the significance,” he added. My eyes widened, a mixture of surprise and anticipation in them. “What did the moon goddess say, Dad? Why am I different?” My father moved close, placing a gentle hand on my shoulder. “You are a unique Alpha Princess, Selene. The moon goddess revealed that you possess an extraordinary gift- a high sense of smell, the strength to fight multitudes of enemies and the ability to lead not just one but three packs." I tried to absorb the information, my heart racing with the implications of my newfound ability. “Three packs? That sounds overwhelming,” I muttered. “But why? What am I supposed to do with all these powers?” My father’s eyes softened. “The moon goddess didn't explain everything but made it clear that all these powers will awaken when the time is right.” He said. “Until then, my dear. You must keep this a secret. And to protect you, you will need to hide your true nature by presenting yourself as an omega.” I frowned, struggling with the weight of my destiny. “But Dad, why keep it a secret? Why won't I embrace who I am?” My dad gazed into my eyes as he still held my shoulders, “Selene, there are forces beyond our understanding. To keep you safe, we must be cautious because the world may not be ready for the power that lies within you.” He explained. "I must shield you until the right time comes.” He added with assurance. A mix of emotions dances on my face. “I trust you, Dad. I will do whatever it takes to protect our pack and fulfill my destiny." Her father nodded, a proud smile playing on his lips. “That’s my girl. Remember, the strength within you is a gift, but it comes with responsibility,” he said. “Did the moon goddess say the unique powers have anything to do with my betrothed to Dam; Alpha Alex's son?” I asked in all curiosity. “No dear, she didn't say that. Besides, you are only betrothed to him. You are not his mate yet till you turn twenty-three.” "One day, you'll lead with grace and power just like me, when Alpha Dam must have mated you, and you become his Luna." He said. "Until then, let the moonlight guide you, my Alpha Princess. I will always be there for you,” my dad cheered. “And again, the moon goddess said that your inner wolf would be speaking to you more often. You should always listen to it and strictly obey its instructions." “Let me go to my room before your mum starts looking for me. Good night, girl.” My dad said and headed out of the door. ********** I mourned my parents on a cold night as I remembered the discussions I had with my father; the Alpha, sometime ago. None of it all that had happened during the day seemed like reality, knowing fully well that my parents were no more. My pack has been a peaceful pack led by my father all these years, but it has suddenly seemed unsafe for me. But why must the moon goddess not save my parents? Besides, who are those behind the rogue attack? Will Alpha Dam still mate me now that my dad is late? There were so many unanswered questions in my head at the same time.
