Chapter 30I watched, amazed, as Pam sprang from the top of one mound to the next, spikes in her hands, through the impaled dead things to attack the night hag's approaching army. She was like a goddess from ancient mythology, the way she struck them down. It so surprised me that at first I couldn't even move. I called out after her but she was already gone. Ian moved before I did, running down the side of the mound and up the next. He didn't soar between them the way Pam did. She was finally free in the dream to do what she wanted.
