Deadly Red Eyes

Running through the forest, jumping from one tree to another tree was exhilarating for Scarlett. She has never so powerful in her entire life. She stops and breathes deeply when a big brown wolf accelerates towards her, she stares at the familiar bright brown eyes as the wolf suddenly comes to a stop in front of her and rolls over on the grass like a cub. Scarlett chuckles at Ryder's childish behavior. She crouch down and pat's his head. "You really are enjoying, aren't you?" Ryder howls in excitement.

"Alright, let's go back now. It's getting dark and Nicole is waiting for me."

Ryder jumps up from the ground and runs into the bushes. Scarlett hears the cracking sound of the bones and looks around the big trees. The sun was set and the sky looked beautiful, something Scarlett always enjoyed to watch since she was a child. She missed these sunsets the most when she was locked up in the mansion. 'Don't think of that devil.' Scarlett thought to herself reminding that she must live a normal life. She always liked her normal life, where she could enjoy the small things of life as a normal human. She sighed as she looked at her pale hands. 'I can't be normal anymore.'

"Let's go back, Scarlett." A voice came from her back and she turned towards the owner of the voice. Ryder stood their fully clothed with a small smile playing on his lips.

Scarlett nodded and followed his lead.

"Where do you live?" Scarlett glanced at Ryder.

"In a pack, it's called Blue Moon Pack. It's about a few miles from the woods."

Scarlett nodded at him, "You have been here since birth?"

Ryder looked at her, "Yes, I'm the next in line Alpha of Blue Moon Pack, my beta Johnathan Drake is out of the country for business right now so here I am." Ryder grins at Scarlett. Blue Moon Pack is the biggest and strongest pack of Ceben. Scarlett has heard about it from a few werewolves in campus not because she was eavesdropping but because she has a really wide hearing range. She can easily hear things from quite a distance but she doesn't care anyways. It's good to have information.

Scarlett nods, "Don't you guys hate Vampires?" Scarlett asks him curiously.

Ryder laughs, "Not really, that's ancient history. After the peace treaty, everyone is equal."

"I see." Scarlett walks out the woods with Ryder hot on her heels.

"You don't really know much about these things, do you?" Ryder looks at her.

Scarlett stares back at him, "Yeah, I don't know much. After all I was turned only two months ago."

Ryder looked at her, his eyes had traces of pity which Scarlett did not like at all. Scarlett turned her head to avoid his eyes. 'Let bygones, be bygones.'

"Don't give me that look." Scarlett said in a stern voice.

"Alright alright, let's go back."

Scarlett pushes her trolley forward and scans through the food items when a packet of instant noodles catches her attention, her deep grey eyes lit up and without wasting another second she grabs the packet but to her dismay another hand grabs it aswell. She glanced up only to come across a pair forest green eyes staring right back at her.

"I saw it first." Scarlett stared at him blankly,

"I grabbed it first." He replied staring back at her,

"No, I grabbed it first." Scarlett retorted as she continues,

"Why don't you take another pack, give this to me."

"This is the last one left and I only want this one." spoke the guy with a slight smirk playing on his lips.

Scarlett narrowed her eyes at him. He stood there without budging an inch, he was tall with pale complexion, a flock of his smooth looking brown hair fell on his forehead as he stared at Scarlett in amusement.

Suddenly it hit Scarlett, his smell.

Scarlett eyes went wide for a second as she realized that he was a half vampire. This was her first time seeing a half vampire. It seemed like he didn't realise that she was a vampire.

A voice came from behind them, "Excuse me, this instant noodles is still in stock. You can take it from here." Both of them turns to look at the girl in uniform, she pushes the trolley filled with instant noodles pack in front of them but Scarlett didn't let go of the one she had grabbed instead she snatches it from him. He looks at her startled.

"I don't let go of what belongs to me.-" Scarlett gestures at the cart which the lady brought to them, "-Help yourself." She turned and left to buy another necessities while the guy stood there looking at her in amusement.

Scarlett's eyes fluttered open as her senses slowly came back to function, she could feel her hand was tightly held by someone. Scarlett tilted her head to look at the person when she came across the most handsome man she has ever laid her eyes on. She was in daze for a moment. The man looked like a Greek god.They laid their in a bird eye view. Scarlett tried to remember who he was, when she started to think hard her head felt dizzy. Scarlett didn't have any energy, all she did was stare at the man who suddenly opened his eyes which shocked Scarlett to her very core, deadly red eyes stated back at her. Scarlett's vision started blurring when scenes of the other night came in seconds. 'Yes, that's him. He saved me.' The last thing she saw before falling unconscious the other night when she was rammed by a car -was the same red glowing eyes as she was staring at now. Scarlett's head started hurting when her vision started losing light and she fell in a dark slumber.

Scarlett jolted awake on the bed, beads of sweat covered her forehead, she was panting as her heart was racing. She dreamt of him again. She turned to look at the clock, 4 a.m. it read, she slept back down but was unable to sleep. She turned and tossed around while thinking of him, he never left her thoughts even though she hated him from the bottom of her heart.
