Scarlett took a seat at the back and the werewolf boy sat next to her.
“I need to lay low, wolfie. I’ll appreciate it if you keep it that way. I’m not looking for trouble.” Scarlett spoke in a stern yet slow voice.
“Ryder Whitestone.” He glanced at her.
“Scarlett Stanwood.” Scarlett replied while staring at him.
“New here?” he asked as Scarlett nodded and glanced at him suspiciously. A thought Crossed Scarlett's mind which send chills down her spine. 'No it can't be. He can't find me.' She kept chanting to herself. Ryder glanced at Scarlett and saw her expression.
“Don’t worry. I’m not looking for trouble either. Everyone has their own reasons, don’t they?” He smiled at her, his honey brown eyes twinkling at her deep grey eyes which somehow looked empty.
'He looks sincere.’ Scarlett thought to herself and smiled back at him. Soon Miss Anna walked in and started the class. A piece of paper landed on Scarlett's table. She opened it "Wanna explore?' she looked up to meet the mischievous honey brown eyes and a small smile made it's way on her face. She scribbled a "Yes!" and threw it back. Ryder chuckled and winked at her.
“Miss Scarlett Stanwood?” Scarlett looked up in alert, “Yes?” Ryder turned to look at her and chuckled when he heard her mumbling string of curses in one breath.
“I asked if you would like to introduce yourself?” Anna looked at her, Scarlett saw the excited look on Anna’s face but politely declined. “No, thank you.” Half of the class was now starting at her, 'Urghh! Just great!’ Prof. Anna looked a little disappointed at Scarlett’s antisocial demeanor but pulled a polite smile. “Alright.” spoke Miss Anna. Scarlett cursed herself for not being careful and Ryder just looked at her in amusement which Scarlett replied with a glare.
“Alright class, that's it for today. Dismiss!”
Scarlett waited for others to get out first. She didn’t wanted any unwanted attention but Ryder waited for her at the door.
“Where ya goin'?” Scarlett looked up at him and snorted,
“Of course not where others are.” She gestured towards the cafeteria and Ryder chuckled and noticed a flask in her hand. He didn’t even had to guess of what was in it, he knew it too well.
“Let me take you somewhere. Follow me Vampie!” Ryder spoke and started walking towards the staircase. Scarlett rolled her eyes, “Copycat.”
Ryder smirked, “It’s Wolfie.”
Scarlett chuckles and started following Ryder, she noticed how Ryder looked at the flask which was in her hand and she was sure he is taking her to an abandoned or quiet place where she can drink in peace without any unwanted attention.
Walking upstairs they finally reached the locked door. Scarlett looked at Ryder and saw him taking out an old looking key, he unlocked the door and went in.
Scarlett stepped in and the first thing she saw was the clear blue sky. Ryder sat down and gestured Scarlett to sit beside him which she gladly did.
“How do you have the key?” Scarlett gazed the clear sky, the white clouds drifting by wind.
“I’ve my sources.” Ryder followed her gaze and stared at the sky aswell.
“It looks pretty from up here.” Scarlett opened her flask and took a sip of the animal blood.
“It sure does.” Ryder smiled at her, “So now we are officially friends, right?” He glanced at Scarlett who had a small smile on her face.
“Yeah, you are my first friend in this new place.” Scarlett grinned at him.
Ryder took out the key and gave it to Scarlett,
“Keep it.” Scarlett glanced at the key for a moment and looked back up, Ryder smiled at her. “You probably need it to lay low. The scenery is just a bonus.” Scarlett took the key from him a small smile lingering on her face.
“Thank you.”

In New York
A loud shattering noise echoed in the dark cold study where a man stood fuming, his deadly red eyes glowed in the dark, revealing his sharp fangs in front of three another men, who were scared out of their wits.
“Sir, we are still searching. We will definitely find a lead soon.”
“Soon? –“ he laughed out loud like a maniac, “You fuckers, it’s been ten days! My mate is missing for ten days, Ten fuckin’ days and you haven’t found a s**t!”
"We are really sorry to let you down sir, but please give us another chance. We will definitely find a lead this time."
The scary red eyes looked up the man who stood in middle.
"Are you sure Johnson Clark?" his deep voice send chills down Johnson's spine.
"Yes sir. We have checked everywhere and nothing was found. I'm sure she has left the country. She is quite smart because it seems that she went through water ways."
"She sure is smart." the scary man smirked as his cold aura was becoming stronger by passing minutes. If looks could kill, Johnson would have been six feet under. Johnson kept a stiff face and stared in the eyes of their devil boss.
"I've got a small clue already. We will be able to track her down soon." Johnson spoke with every last bit of confidence left in him while the other two men beside him kept their head down and stood in silence -praying to get out of the room alive.
"Alright. I'll only give you two days. You have to find her in the next two days no matter what! Dismiss."
The three men nodded and hurried out of the room like their life depended on it.
