Aiden was sleeping in bed one weekend, when he heard his ringing. H e didn't want to pick it up as he still very sleepy; he had been working all week, and the weekend was his only time for rest. He turned over the other side of the bed and went back to sleep. the calls started to become persistent. he groaned loudly and hit the answer button. "Hello?" he answered. "Hello son" said his mother, through the phone. "MUUUM!, why would you call me this early in the morning, you know weekends are my only time of rest!" he complained. "If you're upset that I called you so early, then you'll be fuming when you find out what I'm doing" she said. "What?, what are you doing?" He was suddenly up and awake eager to know, yet scared to find out. "I am at your door" she announced. "WHAT?!" he exclaimed. "And I'm here with your dad and brother" she also revealed. "NO!,NO!,NO!" he shouted repeatedly. "Yes!yes!yes!" she laughed. "Mum, this better be a joke" he stated. he suddenly heard his doorbell ring. "Did you hear that?" she asked over the phone. "Open up brother!" he heard his brother over the intercom. he couldn't believe his ears. They showed up so early and on his resting day. He threw on some clothes and ran down the stairs. he opened the door to found his mum,dad and brother staring at him, a huge smile stamped on their faces. He looked over their shoulder to see their huge seven seater car that his family would usually use for trips. "What-what is the meaning of that car? he stuttered, pointing out to the car. "We are going on a family trip!" his mum announced. "You know you don't need to ask me permission to take a family trip right?" he told her. "Don't be silly, you're going too" she told him. "Yeah, very funny" he laughed but instead of laughing with him, she had a straight face. "You can't be serious mum, you didn't come all the way to drag me to some family trip did you?" he asked. "Well, I just did, and you have no choice but to go" she smiled before patting his back and making his way inside. "You have 30 minutes to pack, get to it" she added. The rest of the family filed in and made themselves comfortable on the couch. "Where is your wife by the way?" his father, Gannon asked. "Still sleeping" he stated bluntly. "Jeez brother, take it slow on her and stop keeping her awake at night you wild animal" Terry joked. "Shut up!" Aiden slapped his head. "Hey!" he yelled. "Aiden what are you waiting for?" his mum inquired. "Get ready and wake up your wife" "I didn't know you were here" Jade mentioned as she noticed the whole family had gathered. "Morning sweetheart, we just arrived" Sadie replied. "We're all going on a short holiday so better start packing, Aiden go and help her pack " his mum lightly pushed him. He fell into Jade and their nose bumped making Jade blush, as Aiden averted his eyes. "Let's get packing, my love" he smiled as he grabbed her hand, making their way back upstairs. She felt good at the feeling of his tender touch and his endearment towards her, in that moment. But it was short lived, as he let go of her hand; as soon as they were away from sight. They packed as quickly as they could in case anyone should come looking for them and finding out, they sleep in separate rooms. When the bags were packed and they were all dressed and ready to go, Aiden carried their bags downstairs and placed them in the trunk of the seven seater.. They had a quick breakfast, and when they were ready to leave, his parents took the front the seat and he, Terry and Jade took the back seat. Aiden and Jade sat awkwardly against each other as his dad drove the car. Jade wasn't quite sure what to do with herself while she sat so closely to him. He looked like he was ready to switch seats any moment then, but it would raise suspicion if he should. Did he dislike her so much he couldn't endure sitting next to her for a few more hours until they arrived at their destination. "Honey, don't they look like a wonderful pair" Sadie turned to her husband who was driving, as she beamed. "They sure do" he agreed. "You two need to have children already, how cute would they look; looking like you two" she added. Aiden started to cough loudly. "Maybe two, maybe three?" "How about seven" Terry suggested. "SEVEN?!" both Aiden and Jade shouted, clearly bewildered by the fact that their family would suggest having that many kids. Jade was very sure she didn't want that many children but then again, Aiden didn't even want one kid with her; how much more seven, she thought. "Mum, stop" he warned. "Please" he begged. "Terry, shut it!" "Whatever you say Aiden" she scoffed.
