16. Escape

I spent the whole week with Annie as Jamie was out of town. We prepared our final and supported each other to understand the materials. We can say that it is easier to run with the patient rather than work on the theory. Though how come we know to handle patients if we do not know the theory. Well, life is a never ending learning, so we have to learn to be better and better every day.

Andy came to visit us even that he was busy with his intern. He said it would be a best arrangement to spend a day as I would be far away from him when Jamie was around. Andy missed me as much as Annie missed me.

We had been in a row ever since we had our campus life. Yes the fact that Jamie separated us was correct. I was too naive in binding my love to Jamie. I was too fool to love him entirely and did not check whether he loves me back or not.

I guess that what love can do, it makes you blind and do not see the truth behind all of the problems. I began to understand what Andy feels to me. He is good in controlling himself and he can decide what is good and bad. I hope I can be someone like him.

"So, are we going to eat out today?" I asked Annie because it was kinda late for not knowing what we would eat at this moment.

"I forgot to tell you that today Andy was having a day off so he will cook for us. He will arrive soon then we will eat in his house."

"House? He had a house now?"

"Yeah, he will be graduated soon so he needs to find a house. So today is a house warming actually. With only you and I as the guess." I laughed listening that she was mocking our time. 

"Why didn't he invite his friend too?"

"He wanted to but then he wanted to pick us up."

"He is so thoughtful. I do not like be a burden to him."

"He will not feel that way. He enjoys our company rather than his friend's company."

"How do you know that?"

"It is running in my blood. We did not get friend easily."

"Ya, but I just not feeling well to make him sacrificing his other greatness to us."

 "No that is not correct. Hei he is coming." Andy approached us and perk our hand and let us walked by his side.

I arrived in Andy's house and amazed by the decoration. Andy must have saved a lot to have this gorgeous house. I just knew that Andy has grown some money from his side job too. He had been lecturer's assisstant for years so I believed he has develop his skill and he will make do in his intern.

That night we really spend good time, a night to escape my feeling over Jamie and could be happy by reuniting with Annie and Andy.

The food that Andy cooked was extremely good, he would be a good chef if he can not find a job. He made us Indian food which was new for him. He loves challenges and he always prove that he can always overcome the challenges. 

"Mandy, how are you?" Andy asked my condition. I was dumbfounded tonight over his ability. He managed to do everything in a perfect way.

"I do not know. I have checked my condition actually. I had a mild anemia and in an therapy to increase my blood cell."

"I really hope you will be fine soon. I and Annie will always be there for you. I hope you will not set us apart and leave you when you are in trouble."

"Ya take his points." Annie add some words to change my untainted mind.

I am so glad to have them, I hugged them tightly. I was so relieved as I hugged them and able to tell my story. It feels like all the burden that I experience, especially my uncertain relation, seemed had been taken by seeing their action and eagerness to help me.
