Insecurities Within

    Waking up Jacques thought her head was going to explode. Thinking back on last night she wanted to kill Belina for convincing her to have the four drinks she easily guzzled down to forget about her ex mark. Mark had been Jacques's boyfriend throughout grade school all the way up until her junior year of high school. Mark had always been popular because he had money, but Jacques never saw any of that she only saw the tall, lanky nerd she had fell in love with back in middle school. Mark had "glowed up" by the middle of our freshman year of high school. He was no longer the tall, lanky, pale boy that made her laugh in middle school but instead a tall, tanned and buff piece of man meat, who loved comic books, that every woman wanted a bite of. Mark had a set of ocean blue eyes that any woman would get lost in. He kept his jet-black hair cut short which only highlighted his square jawline. The beard he kept neatly manicured only added to his looks making him look slightly older than he actually was, add in his abs and new muscular build that seemed to pop out of nowhere and he had women of all ages and backgrounds turning their heads in public when they went out. Jacques did not mind it women could look all they wanted, they just couldn't touch. Jacques thought that mark would be her future husband, that they would soon be taking the steps to adulthood together, that was until she walked in on mark screwing the school w***e Jessica at one of his famous summer parties. It was maddening seeing their sweat drenched bodies in a frenzy of passion. They didn't even have the decency to stop when she walked in on them, she could remember it like it was yesterday. (Flashback) Mark had asked her to come up to his room to talk less than an hour ago, but Jacques was so engrossed in the conversation of her senior year she didn't even realize close to an hour had passed. Jacques and Belina were busy talking about the upcoming school year. They would be seniors, top dogs at the pinnacle of their high school careers and nothing was going to ruin that for either of them. Jacques hurriedly excused herself from the conversation she was having with belina and hoped mark was still upstairs seeing as how she forgot about him. As Jacques climbed the stairs she still marveled at how well marks mother Gabby had decorated the home. It was a simple 6 bedroom 4 1/2 bath home, from the simple cream color of the home to the stainless steel appliances, everything was merticulously planned out to make the house a home. The gray marble floor encompassed the entire first floor and stopped at the staircase. Beautiful mahogany wood covered each step and the railing connecting to the stairs. Jacques loved to run her hand over it, to her it was one of the best feelings in the world. Jacques finally reached the top of the stairs and passed the master bedroom, which also held the master bathroom. Jacques knew this house like the back of her hand, and after she had passed the guest bedroom and guest bathroom that she often used when she slept over. Mark's parents loved her and since they knew her since grade school they had no problem letting her sleep over often. After passing another room Jacques froze hoping that she wasn't hearing what she thought she was hearing. As she got closer her temper began to flare, she reached out for the door knob.
