Reed's POV
I run a finger along the small blade as the sun shines down on it from the window bedside me. I flip it over a few times and then sheath it securely at my hip. I reach forward for another blade just as Seraphina steps to my side to roll out a leather sleeve. I watch as she meticulously slides out each blade and inspect it before returning it to it's original spot. Her hand pauses over a blade with a beautiful gold hilt and hands it to me suddenly. I watch her with wide eyes and she nods for me to take it. The blade is not as heavy as it looked and it feels like a featherweight as I maneuver it along my fingers and then grasp it tight in my palm.
"I think this is too pretty for my taste" I say jokingly while handing it back to her. She smiles down at the blade and then closes m
