Everyone was gathered at the front of the pack house. Eliza's parents had left earlier today because their pack back at Thornhill Crest needed them urgently. I remember the way Eliza held on to her mother as she told her goodbyes. She had that same forelorn look on her face now. This isn't how any of us thought the last few of our teenaged years were going to be. I for one thought it was going to be vigilant training in preparation for undertaking my alpha duties with Reed as my beta. Now we were preparing to step into a lion's den, not sure what to expect.
