“I take it you have Stonelli?” Cecil asked Dru as he sat down in one of the oversized leather chairs in Dru’s office.
“Yes, but he’s been stone cold silent. The only thing I’ve learned actually came from Annie, and that’s that our foe is a shifter.”
“Really? How does she know that?”
“I’m not sure. It doesn’t make any sense. If a shifter has a problem with another shifter, why not just challenge me.”
“It seems like the grudge runs deeper than a simply challenge,” Cecil speculated.
