Annie
Annie was nervous as they drove over to meet with the family of the missing girl. She had never handled the emotions of someone who was more than likely devastated. The family may not want her there at all. She wasn’t actually going to help Dru find the girl, she was just simply the mate. Dru must have felt her anxiety because he reached over and grabbed her hand.
Annie offered him a small smile as they pulled into the driveway.
“Just follow my lead, Annie. It will be fine. These people just need to know someone is in their corner,” Dru said.
“I don’t know how you do this.”
“Because I care.”
